Yes, my wife, 5 years ago. It was 6:30 on a Monday morning, the first day of spring vacation. Our two children were still asleep. I tiptoed out into the kitchen getting ready for work and I thought my wife was sleeping with her head on her arms at the kitchen table, having gotten up in the middle of the night because she couldn't sleep and went out to do dishes or something.I was ready to go to work and touched her to rouse her to go back to bed, she worked at a local school and didn't have to go to work. She was cold, and I let out such a wail, they must have heard me in the next town. I immediately got her to the floor and began administering CPR, knowing full well that it was a waste of time. The next thing I knew our kids were standing next to me, I yelled for someone to get a pillow and call 911.The next thing I knew a police officer was standing next to me in my kitchen, and he told me to go outside while the paramedics came in. I knew it was futile.I've relived that morning many times. Now I'm both mother and father, raising the kids, and all of us seem to be doing okay, each with our own issues, trying to continue moving forward.I have since moved from New Jersey to Texas, two years ago, to be near my sister and her husband. She finally convinced me to wrap it up and move. That in itself was traumatic.What else can I say?

Is it something in the water? Are they all being hypnotized by Fox? Mesmerized by Trump’s neckties?Texas is going backwards, its cities flooded with sick people. Florida is spiking. They’re going to be quarantined if they come into the three northern states they wanted to refuse admission from when the virus was new. Arizona and Alabama are running out of ICU bedsWhat the hell are they talking about? What kind of mental illness allows people to encourage thinking that the virus is on the decline when it’s not, to let the care go when it’s still needed. To promote a false sense of security so more will feel comfortable taking chances because the President said so?We’re past being soothed or comforted by the Trump Administration’s lies. We need Cuomo’s tough truths. We handled that well, and NY has seen a decrease in cases while the Trump Tough Guy behaviors have led to spikes.This can be life and death, for you, your children, your spouse, parents or grandparents.This is not a time for soothing and, ultimately false reassurance.Just to say Trump made it all better and we need to re elect him.Nonsense.

I did 15 years in the texas prison system from the age of 14 to 31. When released this past September I have had to deal with all types of issues from paranoia to just adjusting to being around normal people again and being able to go to a store and buy what I want or go to bed when I feel like it. In prison all of your life is managed to the smallest detail from when to eat to what channel the TV is on.Being out the feeling was a mix of ecstatic to being scared to death.i went in when I was in the 8th grade so I had really no life skills what so ever and most of my family had pasted away while I was incarcerated. I was going to a new city with only the 100 dollars that Texas releases inmates with and told to survive. I didn't know what to expect or what to do. I decided I would not go back to prison before I was released so I knew I had to move forward with ed and try to put prison behind me and adapt to this new world and suddenly being an adult. The culture shock was a really hard thing to deal with as well as dealing with no longer being in a violent institution. I still am hyper aware of my surroundings in public and I deal with PTSD issues. It's been 6 months now that I've been out and even though it is a very hard road to adjustment I would say it's possible. I work, jobs can be very hard to find when you get out but they are there and people will hire you just need to network with others who have found them,I have a girlfriend,my own place , and just got a car, it's a slow road to. Recovery from the place I was but it is possible I refuse to do anything to hurt anyone else or to possible put me back in and as hard as things can be I have to push forward and move on.i hope this will help someone. Where we have been is not where we have to stay.
