One of my early answers went viral, and I didn't realize it until someone actually sent me a private message saying it had happened and pointing out sites where it had been posted and linked on some message boards. This was my answer to Given our current technology would it be possible for someone to become Batman? How much training would be needed, where would he get it? What is his suit made out of, and what would it cost to make it? How much would his other resources cost? , and I was shocked by the overwhelming positive response. I'd noticed a sudden very large surge in upvotes that just kept growing, but I had no idea what was fueling it.After a while, my Batman answer was chosen as the cover story for Hacker Monthly magazine (complete with some awesome artwork), and when I was first told they wanted it as the cover story, I wasn't even sure if the person asking was really serious or not. Once I realized it was a serious request to put it on the cover, I was happy but increasingly surprised. I am pleased with the answer, but I always felt I had other answers that I felt were better, so I wondered why they never enjoyed the same level of popularity. Regardless, I don't know why it got so many upvotes, but I'm very grateful it did.There's added pleasure in knowing something was enjoyed more than I ever would've expected. It's one thing to write in the attempt to generate a large audience and humor, but there's a special fun when you write something just intended as a little fun read for fans of Batman who might get a laugh out of it, and it ends up finding so much more appeal.And lastly, that answer played a pretty big part in my getting the blogging job at Forbes (Forbes.com and magazine). When that happened, however surprised and pleased I'd been before about the answer going viral, I was a thousand times more shocked and happy that it gave me such an opportunity. The answer even ended up being rewritten a bit as my first blog post.

It was to indicate her then-boyfriend, Ramesh “Sunny” Balwani, who stood by her and guided her in her beginning days.She had that attitude of Steve Jobs. She had everything an average 30-year-old would dream of- A multi-billion dollar company, a great boyfriend and an amazing lifestyle.But by 2016, all hell broke loose. Her game was finally over. Her company was found to be a sand castle of lies and secrecy. It was found that she had risked the lives of several patients to get rich for which she never apologised till date.She started facing allegations of fraud. Her company was accused of providing fake blood-test results.She was accused of cheating doctors and patients. She faced huge criticism and warnings. She was banned by the healthcare community. She had several cases filed against her. She stepped out of CEO post. Her company is now de-functional.Fortune, the same magazine which featured her on the cover, termed her as “one of the most disappointing leaders.”She lost everything. She had to pay a heavy fine of $500,000. Her net worth was revised to 0 by Forbes in 2016. She was bankrupt. Her ex-boyfriend left the company and they broke up. She is in a huge debt of nearly $23 million. Now she and her ex-boyfriend are pleading innocence in the court.If they both are convicted, they will face lifetime imprisonment with a fine of $3.6 million each.Just imagine the stress she must be going through!It is not that people with no financial support will suffer the most. Even the richest of the richest will be facing severe pressure and problems in life. Sometimes it is more traumatic and cruel compared to the struggles of an average man.Why would you have to complain when you are honest, hardworking and truthful?If you are honest, you can face any problems in your life. If you are taking shortcuts, dishonest, guilty and caught, then you have set the trap for yourself. No one can save you.Indifferent to rich or poor, everybody has to face their own problems and are fighting their own battles. Yet, life has to go on. It is not worth wasting your time on complaining and whining. Your every second is valuable.Elizabeth Holmes is not going to get back her good old days, when she was admired and seen as a visionary. Similarly, we are not going to get back that moment we waste on complaining and worrying about our misfortunes. Time gone is gone.Instead of looking at the negative aspects of life and complaining, look at the positive aspects. There was once a young woman who was hailed as a strong, independent female pioneer, an example to all modern women.She rose very quickly from a complete unknown to being a globally recognized name, the cover girl of many magazines and being invited to give inspiring speeches.She was extremely convincing and she had many rich and powerful people supporting her.The last I heard of her, she was considering using “mental disease” as her defense in the trial against her. She is facing up to 20 years in prison and her name is Elizabeth Holmes.If, at the height of her fame, someone would have accused her of making the whole thing up, few (if any) would have believed them. Surely, she must be a real genius if she convinced so many rich and powerful people to invest in her company. There’s no way she could’ve raised billions in investments using nothing but her fantasies.Well, that story had a really impressive plot twist.Turns out, if you act convincingly enough, you can make people buy anything you’re trying to sell them.Elizabeth Holmes had an idol, Steve Jobs, who she worshipped and copied to the smallest details.From his way of dressing……to his way of working. According to the employees of her company Theranos, she studied the biography of Steve Jobs and her employees “could pinpoint which chapter she was on based on which period of Jobs's career she was impersonating.”She also used to speak in a low voice which, as it turned out later, wasn’t her real speaking voice.Does any of this sound familiar?I used to think that when a notorious conman (or woman) is unmasked and the story creates ripples around the world, most people learn a thing or two, and it becomes more difficult to pull off big schemes like that, at least for a while.However…Meghan’s scheme is much more difficult to unravel because she is speaking about personal experiences rather than claiming to have some specific thing or technology, like Elizabeth did. You can only lie about having something for so long before people discover you do not in fact have it. But with personal experiences, you can say whatever you want and nobody can prove you’re making it up. You get bonus points if you speak about sensitive topics. That way, anyone who even tries to question the validity of your claims can be labeled as an insensitive jerk.And let’s not forget, Elizabeth Holmes gave a stellar performance without having any experience as a professional actress. Meghan does have that experience.The tell-all interview, 2021 edition.We could talk about another young woman who managed to elevate her status in society (however briefly) and rub shoulders with celebrities in New York by claiming to be a wealthy heiress, Anna Delvey (real name Anna Sorokin). She was also extremely convincing and many people bought her story. She went to prison for larceny and is about to be deported from the US.Every time this happens, people are shocked and wonder how such a thing was possible. When you look at it in retrospect, it all seems so obvious.But it has been happening since times immemorial all throughout history, and it will keep happening again and again in the future.Perhaps you noticed I haven’t mentioned Harry. That’s because his role is that of a supporting actor only, while his wife is the producer, director, scriptwriter and main star of this show.And it’s not even a good show. Two adults of nearly 40 whining about daddy cutting financial support. Who in the world can take this seriously?
