What are the most visually creative resumes you've seen?

Wow! These are amazing though. However, recently I sketched this minimal printer-friendly resume in A4 format. You can Download the resume template in .Ai format via my Behance and feel free to make changes.Resume is the first thing when hiring manager gets to know about yourself. Millions of candidates use Microsoft's Word template for job applications. But to beat other candidates all you need is a professional resume template to blow their mind away! Just make sure only using a professionally designed template won't work unless you put up relevant information such as what you do and what you have accomplished till so far. You also need to mention what are your objectives under the career objective section.View this via Behance Network, or Download as Freebie.Cheers!

What is the strangest IIT JEE story?

Well, I too have an IIT JEE story..Luck was one of the major factors during my JEE preparation. But not good luck always! This is going to be really long so bear with me.So while my preparation for JEE, I had to go to the market to get printouts of online question papers very frequently so my dad got me a printer at home itself. This was a printer as well as a scanner. You will know the importance of this very soon. So everything went smoothly for one and a half years and then finally the application portal for JEE Mains opened. So the procedure was, you have to fill an online form, they will generate a confirmation page, and you have to post that confirmation page to their office in Delhi. So that's what I did. After my dad posted the letter, he handed over me the speed post receipt and told me to keep it with me safely. As I had a scanner at home, I just scanned the receipt, just out of fun, I never thought I ll be needing it again, and then kept it safely. After a month or so after the deadline of application submission, they started posting the Application numbers of those forms whose confirmation pages have been received by them. You could enter your Application number and check yours. Everyday 2 days, roughly 1 lakh application forms were received. I checked in the first round - "Not received yet", second round - " No", third round- "No" and it went on like this. On the day of final round, I was really nervous entering my application number but I somehow did it and the screen displayed a terrifying message like this:I was so damn scared! But then I told myself that the JEE people must have considered all possibilities like this and would have made a procedure for the same. So I told my dad that we have to go to Delhi to submit my confirmation page in person. My dad told me to collect all the documents and that we will be leaving the next day. So, I started collecting the documents. That scary message on the screen asked me to bring the original speed post receipt of the confirmation page. You know when you keep something very very safely, sometimes you actually forget what the "safe place" was. That's exactly what happened with me. I looked for it everywhere but couldn't find it. I told my dad. My dad knew that I had fucked up but he started searching with me. Then I realised, I had scanned a copy of it the day my dad handed it over to me. So I took a printout of it. We were sure that this would work, but just to satisfy ourselves, we went to the post office and got that printout stamped with all the head officials confirming the details of our receipt. After collecting all the documents, we headed off to Delhi.I remember clearly the feeling, I was standing at the gate of the CBSE office and I could see some students crying. I was afraid to ask them the reason because somehow I knew why it was. But then I entered the office where the confirmation page was to be handed over. They asked me about the speed post receipt and I explained to them the entire situation. At first they said, "Yeh nahi chalega, original lagana padega!" which means that this won't work, but after I requested them, they took it, again... not accepted, just took it. There were 2 bundles of forms on their table, the ones which were accepted and others which were rejected and they placed my form separately on the desk creating a third bundle. There was nothing I could do. Hoping everything will be alright, I returned. It took them a month to process those applications. While my friends were busy verifying their information on the JEE website, I was still waiting for my confirmation page to be accepted. I still remember, I used to attend tutions half heartedly because the most important thing was still pending. My tutors used to tell their own JEE stories and all of them said, " Don't worry about the things over which you have no control. In the end, everything will fall into place".That was the only motivating factor those days because if you analyse the situation, that was my last shot. Somehow, a month passed and one night, it was 1 am, I had just finished an online test and I opened the JEE website. I entered my application number hoping to see that same old, disgusting message again. As I pressed enter, the screen displayed this:I kept staring at the screen for like 5 minutes. I may even have refreshed it like a million times just to confirm that it is not a dream. I woke up everyone and told them about it. It was one of those situations where I was not sure how to react. I was happy, shocked, relaxed and another whole bunch of feelings was rushing inside me. That night was the best sleep I had in months. After that, I became a bit serious towards my studies. My JEE mains result was amazing, JEE Advanced result was not bad either. I got an AIR 3333 in JEE Advanced. I was getting admission into an IIT but was not getting the stream of my choice. Somehow after a long brainstorming I decided to choose the stream of my interest in a local but a very reputed college, rather than an IIT with any random stream, but that's a whole another story. Maybe someday, I ll write that too.
