They are official collaborators with Bhubaneswar Club of Poetry, which organises city poetry workshops. They are responsible for release of Annual Student Magazine “INSIGHT” which shows the campus activities, achievements, talents, photos etc.AIIMS BBSR Gymkhana Club: Maintain Gym Equipments, Registry and Fitness Collaborations with companies.Social Activities Club : They handle the social welfare activities of SAAB be it donations, awareness, or other activities.Recently a small sum was donated to victims of Cyclone Amphan that was raised by our Fund Raiser Fest “ALIVIO”.There are several non formalised clubs for Nukkad, Modelling, Biking etc. So one will always find a group of like minded people in the college.All Clubs function under Students' Association of AIIMS Bhubaneswar, which is a registered Association under Association Act for MBBS and Nursing Students.

I’m not owned by the government of India, but I’m an Indian. You don’t need to be owned by the government to represent the country in global events.Let’s say you are going to a global spelling competition after topping the Indian league, they can put your team as India — and you don’t need any permission from the Indian government for this. As far as I know there is no law limiting the usage of term India in global events.ECB is a private company and Cricket Australia is a company too. None of these are owned by the governments. Why should BCCI be owned by the government?Again what expertise does the government have in managing a sport? Does the government owned sporting bodies treat & pay their players as well as BCCI does?Indians often have a dual personality. On one side we constantly complain about our government’s performance and on other side we want the government to manage everything. How do these two things go together?BCCI is doing the job it is supposed to do and manages a team that is at the top of its sport at the global and manages one of the most successful sporting leagues in the world — not just in cricket. They have their own issues, but those are less compared to the mess the government brings when they take control of things.Don’t you find it ridiculous in wanting the only successful sporting body in India to meet the same fate as the other sporting bodies stuck in red tape? BCCI is rich not because the Indian government did anything for it — actually Indian government’s mismanagement of other sports have left spectators to have no option other than to watch just cricket. And as sports like football become more private (with the likes of ISL) they are getting more rich too with the players getting better attention. That should tell you which way we should go.Since IPL launch, BCCI has paid Rs 3,500cr in taxGovernment’s job is to ensure law & order, and take care of things like primary education, security, regulating various industries. And not run cricket bodies, wine shops, telephone companies, hotels and airlines. If the government sells off BSNL, AI and other things that the private sector does great, it can actually use the money to do the job it is supposed to do — provide vaccines and medicines to control epidemics, provide basic healthcare, primary education, drainage etc.Whenever you want the government to take over any successful private body, find the nearest wall and bang your head three times chanting “Air India”, “Air India”, “Air India”.
