How can I travel abroad when my passport is with the embassy of another country for a visa application?

Hi Dwaipayan Sarkar thanks for the A2A!Until and unless you get passsport from the Embassy you cannot travel abroad, Two things you can do.Either wait for the passport, once you receive it from Embassy then travel or if it’s its very important to travel and you don’t have time then you need to write a request letter to Embassy to expedite your visa process or you need to write a visa withdrawal letter to Embassy. They will stop your visa process and return you the passport.Hope this helps!

What incident has traumatized you for good?

United Kingdom Visa and Immigration denied an application to extend my stay in the UK after having worked, paid taxes and paid substantially higher tuition fees than my European counterparts. Integrated to society, active with charities, worked at a UK gov't office, etc. Plus I can speak four languages and I have a northerner accent....I appealed this decision and this is how it went.Home Office retains your passport for the duration of the appeal which is not defined clearly in a time scale. You're not allowed to leave the UK only if you have an emergency and/or if you withdraw the appeal. So basic right of free movement is denied. You have to wait for your hearing date which is usually 8-10 months down the line. During this time you're allowed to work, but changing jobs or planning is a dead end.The day of the hearing, everything's so chaotic that you can be as well be the main character of a Kafka novel. My first hearing was postponed as the Jury decided that my case was not priority (have to give him credit, a Somali family of like 5 was claiming asylum). However, they well knew about this months in advanced and I had to pay solicitors and barristers (almost £1000 for a day)As for solicitors, they will tell you it's doable until you commit and learn that your case's outlook is so dire you might as well buy an inflatable raft and row across the Channel or the Atlantic. Laws are so mixed up that even them complain about the system's ludicrous approach to treating immigrants."To be honest, they don't know what they're doing" they told me a couple of times. So you wait till your next hearing date which could possibly go ahead or not. I got in, in another London Tribunal, and went in. The judge couldn't care less what came out of my mouth and the Home Office's barrister's comments and questions were so flawed that I doubted whether she had actual knowledge of my case. It also felt as it was rushed as they needed to go through a whole day of other appealants; after all Home Office needs to comply with it's yearly quota.First appeal was denied, next comes asking for permission for further appeal. Basically more waiting.Refused for ridiculous reasons.Submit second permission for appeal. At this point I'm £5,000 into the case, exhausted, two years into the process and with no outlook whatsoever. Did I say that at no point the authorities care to give proper timeframes?Plans, work, hobbies, relationships, everything's put on hold.I decide to withdraw and ask for permission to leave the UK voluntarily; in the meantime I keep receiving threatening letter from a third company on the behalf of the HO that I will be removed if I don't let them know what I'm going to do, but my appeal is still ongoing --- HO and the subcontractor appear to have forgotten to synch their servers...Negotiate leaving date as my passport is held in an obscure HO building in Durham. Buy a train tickent to France.HO says it doesn't deal with Eurostar.Loose a train ticket.Buy a plane ticket and set the date.HO agrees. They will send my docs in a Taxi to Heathrow the day before.Pack my luggage. The afternoon prior to my departure I receive a call from my solicitors: the request for a further appeal to the Upper Tribunal has been granted.£"$£"%! ! ! !I decide to withdraw. There's no point, I have no job and left my house.Arrive to Heathrow at 4.30am, check in. The lady at the check in desk asks for my passport. I don't have it and let her know of my situation."Ah, one of those" she says. She calls someone and puts me on the line."So you're the INSERT NATIONALITY ? "I wait 15 mins. A guard arrives with my documents. He stays on my side as I check in and as I go through security. It's dehumanising. He hands my passport and my UCL diploma."Have a good flight, sir"Board a plane...Today, months after that event am only starting to recover. I have no job, personal and professional life in the process of healing, and with no prospects of going back to the place where I started to build a life 6 years ago.I have dreams about it every single day.PS - This is child's play compared to how UKVI treats asylum seakers, refugees and immigrants in detention centres...

How would YOU solve the Brexit deal problems we are facing?

As PM I would surround myself with Brexiters as a cover. I would say Brexit means Brexit a lot". I would come up with cheap stunts to show we are really leaving like Blue passports without EU on them (secretly understanding that these are perfectly allowed if we stay in). Maybe I would announce Brits will have own passport line. Cheap easy wins. But I would allow the passports to go to a EU printer as a subtle hint how Brexit means massive loss of business. For my colleagues I would chose the biggest but plausible biggest idiots I could. Especially foreign secretary and chief Brexit negotiator. Eg Boris and Raab. Those that make the village idiot look good and are Brexiters. Just to make sure we really don't get some half baked deal and anger the EU. If things go bad and a deal might ne possible as the EU wants rid of us whiners I can always leak that Cameron might come back as foreign secretary.I would then make lots of leaks about planes not flying, food shortages, people dieing from no medicines etc. Project fear was a distaster so I would be subtle. As time goes on the older Brexit voters die off and more importantly I would have an end of austerity budget as research shows that was THE issue (blamed on EU and immigrants). So let that take effect. So I would have a 2 year transition period and extend to 3 when I can. The longer the better as I know Tories are finished for a 100 years if Brexit actually happens and that awful Socialist Corbyn will take over. Now comes the Exitbrexit end strategy. Another referendum is risky as leave may well win. It dilutes UKs Parliamentary democracy. So no way. Anyway need so keep saying that. That awful right wing nutter Rees Mogg isnt a fool.I would sack Raab and take over myself then announce as the EU has surrended concessions like the Blue non EU passports, that we can have border checks and throwout immigrants who don't work or claim benefits. Also I would announce the EU has agreed to pay 3,000 euro per year per immigrant who use the NHS. Of course this is possible now but…….Then I would withdraw article 50 myself when the time is right. Best before March 2019. The PM can do this alone. Easier after the chief village idiot Raab make everyone see Brexit is terrible and just say “for national interest will withdraw article 50 letter” (secretly making sure now that the EU is ok with this as they would be even after March 2019 — they are king of fudges anyway —they would agree to a NI border fudge ). “announce how a loyal Tory can't see the break up of the UK and that after EU backed down on immigration, sovereignty and passports the will of the people has been respected”. Say “Brexitexit is freedom" a lot.Call a snap election and hope enough young voters vote. Daily Mail has already started to change . Give it time it will sell all this for me as PM.Go down in history as a hero.NB This is a work of fiction. Names, characters, businesses, places, events, locales, and incidents are either the products of the author's imagination or used in a fictitious manner. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental. Except Raab really is the country's chief idiot. That's pure fact. And Boris is an idiot but had the sense to bail out at least. Coward.
