Exchange Ambassadors and diplomatic staff.Open the embassies in respective countries.Sign agreements on trade, banking, science, education, investment, customs, mineral extraction, nuclear research, air transport agreements etc..These are the standard agreements that need to be made in order to have normal relations. Do you want to have trade between the two countries? You need trade agreement. Do you want your airlines to fly to your respective countries? Sign the air transport agreement. But to have all of these, two important issues need to be addressed.If you read the Joint Statement, there are still two big elephants left in open. First what would be the security guarantees the the US has to provide to North Korea? And when and how the de-nuclearization is going to occur?And don’t forget South Korea.
