If you’re anything like me, you can ALWAYS use another online platform to advertise your property listings – especially when that platform is FREE.In this blog post, I’m going to show you 50 different websites you can use to put together a simple real estate listing and post it for thousands of new eyeballs to see.As you’ll probably recognize, some of these websites are more established, some of them have a more targeted audience for real estate and some of them get significantly more traffic than others… so to keep it simple, I’m going to start with my current “Top 10” and follow with the rest of the websites that are currently operating on the internet.Side Note: While it’s easy to assume your property listings only belong on websites with tons of traffic, I think it’s also important not to overlook the value of having your listings in front of many different audiences. As you can see from this screenshot – they’re nothing special, but they get the job done.Even though Craigslist is clearly the winner in terms of traffic, it’s not necessarily the most versatile medium. Rather than serving the needs of many different types of buyers and sellers like Craigslist, this website is focused specifically on being the number one marketplace for buyers and sellers of real estate.The great thing about Zillow is that it’s one of the few online real estate marketplaces that also allows property owners to post real estate listings For Sale By Owner for FREE… and this is actually kind of a big deal.There are hundreds of millions of people passing through this site each month (with many of them coming from syndicated outlets like AOL, Yahoo, Trulia and more) and most of them are there with the sole purpose of looking for real estate to buy and rent. It’s also worth noting that many buyers start their search with Zillow (instead of looking only at their local MLS listings), so it’s a great way to gain exposure to a massive (and targeted) audience at no cost.I actually think Zillow listings are some of the best when it comes to compiling the information. While I’m certainly glad they provide ANY options to add video (unlike most of the free listing sites I’ve come across), I’m not a huge fan of their 2-minute self-shot video option. It’s not easy to show a property in it’s best light in under 2 minutes and/or by only using the camera in your pocket. It’s unfortunate that they don’t offer the ability to upload or embed a higher-quality, better-produced video. FacebookFacebook is a website that needs no introduction. In addition to being the dominant player in social media today, it has also grown into a very active and effective place to buy and sell real estate. Whether you choose to post properties for sale in the Facebook Marketplace or in one or more a local “For Sale” Facebook Groups in your area – this social platform offers a TON of opportunity to get more exposure.With a website like Facebook, most people are already spending time here every day (and they’re not here solely for the purpose of finding real estate deals), so there’s a great opportunity to catch the attention of buyers through a different (and hugely popular) avenue of the internet.If you can get your property information posted in the right groups and include some great, high-quality pictures and basic property information, it’s a fantastic way to increase your chances of finding a buyer for your property.The property listings look similar to most Facebook posts…Here are some of the features Facebook has to offer…Image Uploading? YesKeep in mind, if you include a longer property description with these kinds of ads, users will have to manually click “See More” to read everything – so really, the primary selling point that catches most people’s interest is the pictures. Paying a little extra for a good photographer to take good pictures can go a LONG way on Facebook.Facebook makes it easy to link to an outside website (like your selling website, for instance), so you can always include the more detailed listing information there, as long as you can draw your buyer’s attention with a few good pictures and enough information to entice them to click through.Another nice thing about Facebook is that once you create a posting, it’s very easy to post it in multiple Facebook groups (if you happen to be a member of more than one group that will find the information relevant)… which means you don’t have to “fight the system” to get more exposure, like you would with a website like Craigslist.RELATED: 5 Proven Fundamental That Sell Real Estate FAST4. Connected InvestorsIf you’re a real estate investor, Connected Investors is a site you ought to know about. It’s a pretty sizable online community of like-minded people, and the site offers more than just networking opportunities, you can also list your properties for sale (as well as view properties for sale from other investors).Since the vast majority of folks on this website are real estate investors – it’s important to recognize that people are here to make money from real estate… so the properties generally aren’t going to be priced absurdly high, but for investors who want to get in and squeeze some equity out of the deal.Something I appreciate about the property listing platform on this site is that you can enter in A LOT of deal-specific details that real estate investors are going to care about, as explained in this video (e.g. – costs associated with owning the property, cash flow details, zoning and uses, etc.). I also really liked the ticking time clock at the top of each listing, as it helps instill a sense of urgency/scarcity for anyone who wants to take advantage of the deal.Here’s a quick snapshot of what their listings look like…Here are some of the features Connected Investors has to offer…Image Uploading? ForSaleByOwnerForSaleByOwner is one of the more well-known websites for property owners who want to sell their home without paying a commission to an agent. Ironically, both of their premium listing packages actually do involve third-party agents who get paid (either by the buyer or the seller) from the sale… however, I think the most notable part of this site is that it also offers a FREE 30-day listing option, and their ads are put together pretty nicely too.Considering this website brings in millions of targeted visitors each month AND the listings are supposedly syndicated to appear on Redfin, HomeFinder and more, it may very well be worth your time and effort to upload your listing details to this website.Here’s a quick look at how these ads are laid out…Here are some of the other features this site has to offer:Image Uploading? I appreciated their integration of video (i.e. – virtual tours) into their listings as well as the supplemental tools they offer to users. LetgoLetgo is a free listing website that seems to prioritize the ease-0f-use and visual elements of each listing. In my interactions with the website, it seems to be intended more for a mobile audience than for those on their desktop computers.While I haven’t personally found a buyer through this website yet, I have heard from others who have gotten very fast results with it – so depending on which market you’re working in, it’s probably worth your while to at least try posting your properties here to see if they get any traction.The Letgo app has a decent rating on iTunes, and from what I’ve seen of the listings I’ve posted on this website, the descriptions and pictures do legitimately look a lot better on a mobile device than when viewing it on a desktop (hopefully this will change, because most of the work I do is not on my phone).Here’s a screenshot of what these listings look like on a desktop:Here are some of the features Letgo has to offer:Image Uploading? NoLetgo is unique in that listings are displayed to users based on their geo-location (which means buyers will see your listings if they’re located in close physical proximity to it… which isn’t always going to be the case with real estate).The website and app also have chat capabilities, which can help communication between buyers and sellers.7. FizberFizber is another helpful website for listing properties, and it’s one of those key platforms with a targeted audience for real estate buyers.Fizber also offers sellers the ability to list their properties on the MLS for a flat fee (without signing a contract with a real estate agent), which is another notable feature that most real estate listing sites don’t bring to the table.My only real complaint with Fizber was that the site doesn’t allow sellers to list properties priced less than $25,000 (which seems like a random number to peg as the floor). For most sellers, this won’t be an issue – but if you’re selling something really cheap (like a $6,900 vacant lot), this pricing floor will obviously get in the way.Here are some of the features Fizber has to offer…Image Uploading? YesThe listings on Fizber are pretty basic, and like most of the sites on this list – they’re geared towards properties with improvements. The site gets a respectable amount of traffic (given that it’s focused solely on the real estate crowd), but it’s not quite in the same ballpark as Zillow or Craigslist. Overall, it’s not a bad option to work with, especially if you’re interested in blasting your listings out to the MLS as well.8. OodleFrom what I’ve seen, Oodle probably has the most streamlined process for posting a property for sale. You don’t have to navigate through page-after-page of details to post a property. Property sellers can fill out one simple submission form to get their entire listing compiled and posted in a matter of seconds (and it’s especially fast if you already have the listing information prepared and you’re just copying it from another source).To be honest, I actually had a hard time with this site at first. For some reason, it was automatically flag and removing all of my listings almost immediately after posting… which was a little problematic. I’m still not sure why it was doing this – but I’m guessing it was because my listings were all for vacant land, and these properties typically don’t have a verifiable street address. That being said, if you can actually get your listings posted successfully – the ads do a good job of highlighting all the important details in a short amount of space.Perhaps the most notable thing about Oodle is that these listings are supposedly syndicated with Redfin – so when you post a listing on Oodle, you’re also getting some notable exposure to another massive audience of real estate buyers.Here are some of the features Oodle has to offer…Image Uploading? YesOverall, I like how Oodle makes it pretty quick and simple to compile a listing, and the syndication with Redfin is another huge selling point for the site. Assuming you can get the site to keep your listing active without flagging and removing them (which was, unfortunately, a big obstacle for me), it’s a nice little outlet to get some additional exposure for your listings.9. Asset ColumnI had never heard of Asset Column until I really started searching hard for free real estate listing websites. When I finally found it, I was honestly surprised it had never come across my radar earlier. This platform is designed pretty well, the website as a whole looks great and it makes the process of putting together a listing very easy.I liked some of the unique features of the site, like how it specifies the percentage below market value each property is priced at, and the easy and prominent social sharing buttons. All in all, it seems like a pretty nice platform to post real estate listings on.Here’s a quick look at the standard listing…Here are some of the features Asset Column has to offer…Image Uploading? YesLike most free listing sites, the format isn’t necessarily optimized for vacant land properties (like the kinds I typically sell), but it’s certainly possible to work within the parameters they give you (Pro Tip: On the first step when they ask for an address… you can also enter in the GPS coordinates of your property, in case it doesn’t have a registered address yet).10. FindMyRoofFindMyRoof does a pretty decent job of putting together a nice listing that gives all the basic details in an easy-to-follow format. It’s not a terribly complex process to create a listing, and the site doesn’t draw in a huge amount of traffic – but it is a relatively targeted audience of real estate buyers, which may make the site worth your time and consideration.Here’s a quick look at the typical property listing…Here are some of the features FindMyRoof has to offer…Image Uploading? Another unique feature is that FindMyRoof also allows visitors to click the “Flyer” button on each listing and generate a nice, printable version of each ad.Still Looking for More?Okay, now that we’ve covered my current “Top 10”, I realize some people may still be looking for even more places they can post their real estate listings for free… so with those folks in mind, I spent some time scouring the internet to find an extensive list of websites that will allow this functionality.Before you try out any of these websites, let me be clear – I haven’t used all of these platforms and I’m not intimately familiar with how they work (including what kinds of people run them and/or what kinds of people peruse through them on a daily basis).I’m not necessarily “endorsing” these websites or recommending that you use them, this is just a centralized list of what else is out there right now (note: this information was last updated as of mid-2017), so you can investigate them on your own and decide of they’re the right fit for you.Make sense?Good!Here’s what I was able to find out on the inter-web (in no particular order)…11. HotPadsHotpads is unique on this list because it’s only intended for listing properties (houses, apartments, condos, etc) for rent, not for sale. Nevertheless, this still fills a major need for many property owners, and since it’s one of the bigger players in the space, with a very well-designed layout and interface, it’s definitely worth mentioning on this list.This site pulls in over 10 million monthly visitors, and as one of the Zillow Group Brands, all listings are syndicated to appear on Zillow and Trulia, which is a huge value add.12. CozyCozy is a bit different from the other listing websites on this list. The first differentiator is that (similar to HotPads), it’s intended only for rental properties, and marketing them to prospective tenants (not selling a property outright).Another key difference is that no prospective tenant actually searches on Cozy for rental properties. Instead, Cozy syndicates their listings to websites like Realtor and Doorsteps (Cozy is one of the few sites – maybe the only one – that allows independent landlords to get their rental listings on the MLS via Realtor.com).You can also simply use Cozy as the place to host your listing, and then share the URL wherever you want (post it on Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn, text it to a friend or email it to everyone on your list). This gives you more control over who is looking at your rental property – which can be very useful in some cases.Cozy is also a full-blown property management platform, which means the listing functionality is tightly integrated from listing to the application to lease to payment collection. Cozy is built for landlords, which means its usefulness can be taken much further than a site built strictly for advertising your properties.13. KahpingKahping makes it very easy to create real estate listings, add photos and highlight what the features and details are of each new listing (and it does a better job than some of the non-specialized websites like Craigslist). The listings make pretty good use of space, giving users different tabs to click on and expand to see more information.14. OfferMarketOfferMarket is a marketplace where you can create free listings for off-market real estate. The idea behind this website is to make real estate transactions faster and more efficient. Sellers can receive an instant offer for their property. Buyers can gain exclusive access to off-market deals.15. BuyandSellBuyandSell was is a free listing site that was launched in 2005 in Toronto, Canada. The site serves users across over 190 countries and 6 continents and it is focused on accelerating trade between buyers and sellers in every market across the globe.16. ClassifiedAdsClassifiedAds is another free listing website with a similar look and feel to Craigslist. You aren’t required to maintain an account here, and the ads on this site also come with a nice little inquiry form at the bottom of each listing – so it’s one less step for an interested party to contact the seller for more information. The listings also allow sellers to link to third-party websites, which is a nice little extra feature you can use to send extra traffic to your selling website.17. FreeClassifiedsFreeClassifieds is another free listing website you can use to sell pretty much anything. You can post free local classified ads and search free local classifieds as well.18. WebClassifiedsWebClassifieds is another US-based classified ads website you can use to buy, sell or trade. Similar to the other classified ads websites, this is another catch-all platform that us used to sell all types of items.19. LandSaleListingsLandSaleListings is a great site to know about if you’re trying to list and sell vacant land specifically. The site offers a few paid listing options, but it also allows users to post listings for free (with only one picture). It’s not necessarily the most versatile or beautifully designed site on this list, but it’s another valid option that doesn’t cost anything and can potentially get your ad seen by a new audience.20. AdsGlobeAdsGlobe is an advertising gateway for online classifieds in jobs, real estate, rentals, autos, services, items for sale, travel, events, pets, business, and community.21. BeycomeBeycome is a real estate listing site that offers both free and paid listing options. Designed specifically with FSBO sellers in mind.22. HooblyHoobly is a pretty sizable classified ads platform that draws in millions of visitors per month. People use this site to sell arts, books, clothing, electronics, home and garden, pets, real estate, vehicles and more.23. PennySaverUSAPennySaverUSA is another run-of-the-mill classified ads site where you can browse and post free online listings, get coupons, and find other interesting deals.24. Claz.orgThe claim behind Claz.org is that you can search all classified ad sites at once. Given that you can also post ads for free, it’s probably worth checking out.25. RecyclerRecycler is another online marketplace that connects buyer and sellers together at the local level. It’s an ideal platform for buying and selling cars, pets, real estate, jobs and more.26. REIFreeClassifiedsREIFreeClassifieds is a listing site geared specifically towards the real estate investing industry (it’s not just a catch-all listing site that anyone can use for purposes unrelated to real estate). If you’re looking to tap into a bit more of a focused audience, this one could be a great fit.27. GeeboGeebo is website where it’s easy to place ads and safer to search. As stated on their home page, their goal is to go the extra mile to help build, protect, and connect communities.28. AmericanListedAmericanListed provides millions of safe and local classifieds for jobs, rentals, pets, for sale, housing, real estate, cars, boats, services, events, clothing, furniture and motorcycles.29. FreeAdsCityFreeAdsCity is a free photo classifieds site that lets you post and browse classified ads under the categories of auto, real estate, pets, furniture, electronics and more.30. FreeAdsTimeFreeAdsTime is a worldwide classified ads website where you can browse and post ads with a photo. Free classifieds can go under houses for rent, apartments for rent, roommates, local jobs, pets, vehicles, for sale items and other available categories.31. BeatYourPriceBeatYourPrice is another standard classified ads website where it’s free to browse and post listings, including categories such as art, electronics, jobs, real estate, jobs and more.32. LootLoot is a pretty well-designed listing website where you can post free real estate ads and browse the site for other opportunities, such as jobs, cars, properties, pets, services and more.33. EPageEPage was one of the first “dot-com” companies in the world, founded in 1994 as an “Internet only” business dedicated to providing the best classified and auction services to its customers. The EPage Network has now grown to over 850,000 monthly visitors and has displayed over 3 billion classified advertisements.34. DomesticSaleDomesticSale is a place where you can post US-based online classified ads. Use this place to buy & sell autos, real estate or general merchandise.35. LocantoLocanto is a free, user-to-user local community classifieds site. You can use the site to post and search ads, to find a new place to live, buy a new car, find a job and much more.36. AdPostAdPost is another classified ad listing website that can be used to browse and sell all the major categories you’d expect to see on a classified ad website.37. KugliKugli is another free classified ads site and international business networking site. They have dedicated categories for dozens of different local and regional classified ads.38. Sales SpiderSalespider.com is a free social network designed to help small to midsize businesses expand their networks, connect with contracting and supplier opportunities, post free classified ads, and gain free access to sales leads and business opportunities. It’s supposedly one of the largest free social networks for business owners and includes free sales leads and prospect lists, free classified ads, free business directory, and free business forums.39. AblewiseAblewise is one of the biggest business ads posting site that lets you post ads for free like, rentals, automobile, business opportunity, merchandise, services, employment and more.40. BuySellCommunityBuySellCommunity is an online community where you can buy and sell your stuff for free and/or open up your own online storefront.41. House.InfoHouse.Info is one of the few websites on this extended list that is focused specifically on real estate. The site features thousands of listings in brings in a fair amount of monthly visitors – so this one could be of interest for the specific purpose of posting your properties for sale.42. Gold ClassifiedsGoldClassifieds provides free online classifieds, free online advertising services, including free online classified ads posting and searching. This website is available for Global users.43. AdFreePostingAdFreePosting is another classified ad listing website that can be used to browse and sell all the major categories you’d expect to see on a classified ad website.44. FreeToClassifiedsFreeToClassifieds appears to be a pretty basic listing website, but it could do the trick. This platform will allow you to publish real estate listings without an account.45. TopClassifiedsTopClassifieds is another basic classified listing site. Nothing particularly special about it – just another platform to get some extra exposure for your listings.46. AdsKeepAdsKeep is another basic (and fairly unsophisticated) classified listing site. This site has several real estate related categories and could be a good place to connect with buyers and sellers.47. SuperAdsSuperAds is a pretty self-explanatory classified ads website. If you know how to use Craigslist, you should be able to figure this one out pretty easily.48. Global Free Classified AdsAs the name implies, Global Free Classified Ads features listings from all over the world, so it’s not the most centralized place to connect with local buyers and sellers. However, if you’re looking for more of a global audience, it could be a good fit.49. 10DayAds10DayAds is a free classified ads website for selling new or used items and listing your business in the USA or worldwide so that you can reach millions of buyers to sell your stuff. There is a real estate category available, along with all the other, standard categories you’d expect to see on a website such as this.50. HouseListHouseList has a fairly small audience and the website doesn’t have the freshest design or layout, but it’s an audience specifically targeted in the real estate space – so it could be a great place to post your free listing.51.
