This a huge number given the seats per session is 300 which is not being filled in any of the inductions. Every induction sees around 170-200 candidates inducted for NDA out of 100,000 applicants irrespective of there being 300 seats.There are almost 35 Lakh or 3.5 Million candidates for recruitment of 60,000 Jawans every year.Numbers don't lie.Indian armed forces need to do nothing to get more candidates, instead they should just induct handfull of good yougsters and build them strong."Hitler made a strong Army in less than 10 years" which wrecked Havoc in the WWII. They were less in numbers but dominated for the most part of the war because they were well trained and passionate about their nation.Indian Youth have both, they have never ending passion for their nation and they are ready to go through the strenuous and blood spitting training of defence. But the reason remains mystery as why Defence is so reluctant in filling up these positions.I've seen youngsters so passionate who applied for every possible entry NDA, CDS, UES, TGC, NCC etc. Unfortunately were never recruited inspite of giving their hearts out. They end up working in private sector at a good payscale but the beast inside them that wanted to live and die for their country never found peace as their dream never came true.Just one thing remains: "Once a Fauji always a Fauji."
