PDF Editor FAQ

Who do you want to see, as the Prime Minister of India in 2019? Why?

Disclaimer : I am from TN. I will not vote for TN-BJP leaders, because they are as stupid as Rahul Gandhi. Even less logical guy like RAGA will not vote for TN-BJP leaders. If PM Modi, Fadnavis, Piyush Goyal or similar kind of leaders contest in TN, I will vote for BJP.Now, You know my answer. I want to see this man below to govern ( not rule)us as PM in 2019. Rule and govern looks same. Difference is HUGE.Okay. He has got so many qualities to continue as a PM in 2019. He is far better any of the leaders that we have now. So many of us already talked about his classical behavior, generosity, uprightness and other management skills.I want to bring one small thing to your attention. Look this man below in the picture,Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports and former Olympian from 2004 Athens Olympics. The above photo is going viral in the internet. He was found carrying a tray with food. Some media claims that HE WAS SERVING THE ATHLETES. I cross-examined this picture and there could be two possibilities,He was carrying the food to serve the playersHe was carrying the food for himselfEither case is good. I will explain here.I am going to ask you guys four questions. If you could answer those questions with moral - logical responsibility , Why I want MODI-fied is justi-FIED..hahaWhen was last time sports person was made as a sports minister of INDIA?When was last time athletes were considered as a highest priority than ministers? When was last time sports minister acted as a professional and normal person rather than Maharaja or Lord or VIP?When was the last time the sports minister witnessed carrying his own food and eating with athletes? or as per Republic TV, serving the athletes?..When was the last time sports minister understands the true feelings and difficulties of sports person in INDIA?.I can go on like this until number 100. The points is that it is also applicable to other ministries to a major extent. Still, lot needs to be done. This is best ever we got.It took 70 years for us to realize that sports ministry exists because of athletes. Not the other way around. Without these athletes or sport persons , there wont be any need for ministry of sports.Minister, RS Rathore, Just showed us through an awesome gesture that “You guys (sports persons) are VIPs, not ministers like me”.. We must be proud to have ministers like Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore - Wikipedia.Bottomline: Seeds of new political culture is sown with new breed of leaders, who came all way from bottom to TOP though hard work and dedication. For this culture to grow and to become a norm , I want to be MODI-fied strongly. They are all self-made leaders like our PM. (Note : They did not achieve this position, because of family ties or by surname. From INC to most of the regional parties comes in this bracket for seriously practicing nepotism.)Now, you tell me “ Is it justi-FIED to be MODI-fied?.”…PS: Last time, I wrote a wonderful answer, QUORA collapsed it. I hope they don’t do the same for this answer..Before collapsing, read as much as you can..

Is it really true that “back in the day” a person could work a 40 hour a week job without a college degree and support a spouse and children?

Yes, it's really true because my father was one of those people. He graduated high school in 1942 and went into the Army. After his discharge he tried college but it just wasn't for him. He went to Photography School and worked at a portrait studio. After a few years he got his big break when he got a job in the photo lab at Time Inc. They published Time Magazine, Life, Sports Illustrated, People, Money, Fortune and many others. On his Time Inc salary he could buy a row house in Brooklyn for $18,000. He bought a new car with cash about every 10 years. My parents went out to dinner every Friday and Saturday night. Nothing fancy, mostly diners, family restaurants and of course Chinese and Italian food.We took a car trip vacation every summer. After my brother and I left for college they traveled all over Europe and Mexico. They couldn't pay my dental school education but they did help alot with my living expenses. No reasonable request was ever denied. My parents lived a very good life without college degrees. That era from post WWII to the late 1970s will probably never be replicated.

What life lessons can one learn and apply from the sport of boxing?

Have you ever heard of the bleep test?If not, it is a fitness test. A running fitness test. Two markers are set about 20 meters apart. A tape on a cassette player (or these days probably just on someones phone) is played that bleeps. The aim of the test is to run from one marker to the next before the next bleep occurs. The tricky part… the bleeps get shorter every time. So if you have, say 20 seconds for the very first bleep, you will have 19.9 seconds for the second.I used to be pretty good at the bleep test. I would get to level 13.8 or so. Far surpassing everyone else taking the test in my group. If you’re about 19 or 20, basically in the peak fitness of your life, level 13.8 is quite good. You’re well above average at running.Well, one day a guy was taking the test in the same gymnasium as us. He wasn’t part of our group. He ran until the tape STOPPED! It was something like level 20 he ran to.Unless you have tried the bleep test, you might not ever be able to appreciate how difficult that is. The guy was a boxer and just wanted to participate in the test as part of his training.I cannot emphasize enough how difficult what he achieved is.Let me tell you what it taught me, because it taught me a few things about boxers:Their mental strength is INSANE! The amount of mental strength it takes to just keep going even though you are already tired and know it is only going to get worse, that is something I don’t think a lot of us are capable of enduring for too long.Boxers are generally viewed as being strong. Not necessarily aerobic or have high stamina. False! Their stamina is better than pretty much everyones. See all those soccer players and NFL players you see on TV every week? Odell Beckham, Neymar etc etc… yeah they’re impressive in their own right. But pit them against some of the fitter boxers in a running session, the boxers win. Every time. I didn’t believe that until I saw this guy in the gym and did more research on it.This kind of goes along with # 1 a bit. That guy’s performance in the bleep test that day is literally the most impressive thing I have ever seen. I can be impressed, but many times my impressed state is justified. “A 12 year old has discovered something to help cure cancer”. Sure, that is impressive. The kid has put a lot of hard work in to get there. But put 500 kids in the same position and have them apply the same amount of work, the same outcome will happen a lot of times.i don’t get the impression the same is true with what this boxer achieved. The mental strength it takes to do what he did, and to undergo the training they go through, is something I don’t think a lot of us have in us. Don’t get me wrong, it’s certainly possible, otherwise he and everybody else couldn’t do it. But my point is, even after all the hard work and dedication he has applied, his mental strength to carry him even further is what separates him from all those who can’t achieve those results. It was the most impressive thing I have ever seen.
