The Charity Commission are still assessing the information before determining if there is evidence of wrongdoing or a conflict of interestBut haven’t we been here before? The criticism received by Charles regarding his multiple charities…some of which appeared to serve only to provide jobs for his mates, grant applications and funds channelled into other charitable interests? The word 'Hinduism' was invented by human minds who couldn't fathom a system of mutual respect for diverse schools of thought and had to pull another legacy of thousands of years into a straight jacket of an "ism'. By knowing enough about both, one would easily conclude that certain aspects of Hinduism are derived from yoga, the older of the two and not the other way around. The misleading impression of Hindu roots exists because for several centuries no other modern religion was even born, with an exception of Jainism.Anybody trying to promote yoga would soon bring its own agenda to play. There would be temporary distortion and a few individuals would carve for themselves celebrity status. They would stop at nothing until the political party and the certified spiritual giants would look larger than yoga.Any externalization of yoga is unyogic. As caste system could not end by passing laws, yoga wouldn't grow by its morbid public exposure. As an internalized discipline it would grow by multiplying teacher training / learning facilities, by supplying abundant resources at reasonable costs, by arresting the free abuse at the hands of greedy for quick bucks, by bringing in some fencing to the original knowledge through its trustees and not through compulsive innovators and by encouraging the individuals for an active engagement with all this.Yoga is a force, has its own energy, is built around perfect architecture, has survived for thousands of years and will survive for thousands more, incorporates a comprehensive eco system to remain what it should be. The last thing it needs is a political asylum or endorsements from the celebrities.
