I saw one post on the web (from 2011) claiming the Dell only reported delinquent accounts, but that they presumably would report your account to the credit bureaus if you asked them to.This makes a certain amount of sense, because for people who pay on time, their credit score may be impacted (but only in the short term) by such accounts, because they’re revolving accounts, but credit utilization percentage may be very high in the beginning. This contrasts with a typical revolving (credit card) account, where it would be fairly common for somone to spend around 10% of their credit limit each month and then generally pay it off in full.I suggest contacting the number here: Web Bank | WebBank/DFS, hopefully you can get hold of someone who will explain their policy on reporting open accounts.

I think you need to show some data that points to bitcoin being “taken seriously.”I have seen no evidence that it is being taken seriously beyond the crypto enthusiasts. There are a handful of companies that accept it, but these are more PR stunts than actual solid business uses. For instance, Microsoft said they were accepting it in their store a few years ago. Just went to the Microsoft Store online and I can use credit card or PayPal. It even gives me an option for “Dell Preferred Account” which is leasing through Dell. No Bitcoin. So maybe companies put their toe in the water to see whether or not bitcoin was viable but have backed away. And please don’t put Tesla on that list. That is a PR stunt and making a one-time purchase through a convoluted process like bitcoin is not the same as using it every day on a website regularly.

Not true. Dell laptops are not perfect, You will occasionally encounter some flaws and minor annoyances but, more often than not, it's because of some faulty software configuration-- not hardware defects. Dell's tech support can be a pain sometimes especially if you are just a customer without corporate account. I'd say that they did improve their tech support lately in order to be more competitive in the consumer space. The 18-inch Dell Precision Pentium Duo laptop (now a dinosaur) my employer provided me 8 years ago is still working great. It was originally running Vista (suck) but I upgraded it to Win 7 and recently to Win8.1 (IT will not always do this for you and, if they do, they will usually install Win 7). Dell products (like HP) are quite durable and when they break they can easily be fixed. That's why you still see a lot of old Dell and HP machines in offices and institutions and that's why many companies refuse to replace their WinXP machines. Dell is also trying to keep up with the touch-screen and portable device demands of the "post-PC" or "PC-plus" era, whichever you prefer. I have a Dell Latitude ST2e 11" tablet which I have been using for a year now. I also have a Dell Venue Pro 8" tablet, which is more portable, so it's the one I take with me if I have to do work outside the office/home. Those are the only Dell PC products I owned (btw the laptop is still the property of my employer). I never owned a branded desktop PC since I always buy parts from NewEgg, Amazon, and eBay and build my own. If you are planning to get a Dell laptop, I suggest you get a laptop-touchscreen hybrid. Once you've tasted the convenience of a touch-screen, you'd never want to revert back to a laptop. That said, you still need the "laptop mode" or "desktop mode" to carry out certain tasks more efficiently. For non-console gaming, a desktop PC with a 27" to 40" monitor is still the best.
