It’s true that several states were decided by margins close enough to warrant recounts — and recounts have been known to result in changes of as many as 14,000 votes in a state like Wisconsin, for example, in 2011, two days after the election for state supreme court, “ Waukesha County Clerk Kathy Nikolaus announced she had found 14,315 votes that she had failed to save on her computer; the new ballot count gave the overall lead to Prosser, by nearly 7,500 votes.”) Trump currently trails by 20,000 in Wisconsin.But the margins, though thin, are probably robust enough to hold, especially given that Trump would have to win several such recounts.In states like Nevada there have been legal challenges made (thus far unsuccessfully) that about "lax procedures for authenticating mail ballots and over 3,000 instances of ineligible individuals casting ballots," "Ballots have even been cast on behalf of deceased voters."Similarly, in Georgia, the trump campaign had a lawsuit accusing the Chatham County Board of Elections of improperly intermingling ineligible ballots with valid ones, but this suit was dismissed.In Pennsylvania, there are legitimate legal questions about whether the state secretary of state exceeded her authority in ordering counting to continue past the deadline established in state law and the state supreme court ruled that ballots received by mail by Nov 6 be accepted even without a legible postmark,which went against the legislative compromises passed by the state legislature.
