PDF Editor FAQ
What makes an Indian student frustrated?
The students who are going to appear in Boards 2021 might relate to this.So we were really frustrated about the Boards exams to get postponed. The schools were giving pressure of Pre-Boards which might be conducted offline.Suddenly on 20nd December 2020, our school sent us a message stating that Pre Boards will be conducted offline “very soon”. Meanwhile we were waiting for 31st December as our HRD Minister(Pokhriyal chachu) will be announcing the date sheet on that day. On 27th December 2020, our school sent us the pre-board schedule that will be starting from 4th January. I had a well planned strategy to study for the next 2 months to score very well in Boards 2021 even if the Boards would have started by 1st March. As I didn’t studied many chapters from Maths, Science and SST, I decided that I will just go through the overview of all the chapters and giving the preboards. By 20th January 2021, our pre boards came to an end.As I knew that I will fail in maths, I started preparing for the retest of Maths from 21st January. Meanwhile our schools were forcefully calling us to school by messaging us. My grandmother didn’t allowed me to go to school on the first day. Usually our schools used to send us an SMS(computer generated) when we were absent. But this time, we even used to get SMSs, along with this:So I found out that I scored 31 in Maths, just 2 marks below the passing marks. I knew this would happen as i didn’t practiced it and just watched the lecture videos and went to give the exams. When I got the copy of my Maths pre boards, I simply checked the marks and gave it away to my maths sir and told “Sir aap paper lijiye wapas hum retest de denge” (Sir keep the answer paper, I will appear in retest). But to my surprise, my Class Teacher(CT) told me to appear for every retest..I mean why? Is there any subject left? She forgot to add English here, I guess..I went to give Maths. I didn’t appeared for other retests..On 11th Feb, I went for PTM as the PTM was scheduled on the day of my parents’ anniversary so I couldn’t go. From 9 to 12, it was the SST retest on 11th Feb and I didn’t go as I had scored more than 50 in pre boards. After nearly 1 hour of waiting for my teacher at the Office, she arrived and started scolding my me and started shouting. She gave threats of Admit Card more than 4 times and told me that my carrer will be destroyed and I will be responsible for this. And she told my mom that I have to come to school everyday and give each and every test or retest which will be conducted later on. I went away home, shared the feelings with my friend DK and SV and cried whole day. Even my mother was scolding me because my teacher brainwashed my mom in the name of Admit Card..The IT and Sanskrit retest were scheduled on 3rd Feb together but there were some people who had to appear on both so IT retest was shifted to 12th Feb. The teachers announced this to students appearing for IT retest at the school with no message on whatsapp so I had no idea. And the next day, I joined the online class instead of going to school and my teacher suddenly gave me 2 calls. I didn’t picked them up and she called on whatsapp and I picked them up.Here is how our convo went -CT - Why you didn’t came for IT retest today?Me - IT and Sanskrit were scheduled on 9th Feb.CT - IT is today and you didn’t came so give the phone to your mother.Me - K giving right away hold on..CT - Mam your son has not appeared for IT retest today. I sent him a Whatsapp message that today is IT but he didn’t came. Now his Admit Card is in danger.Mother - Sorry Mam I will take care of it from next time..Mother - What is this?Me - Mummy listen, she didn’t sent me any message on whatsapp you can check my whatsapp now.Mother - What about admit card?Me - Mummy trust me this fool teacher can’t stop my Admit Card according to Page number 47, Article 16 of the CBSE Exam Laws..My mom went away. I started crying again because no one was believing me..I went to school for few days forcefully. Appeared in retests. My teacher warned me that if I missed the school even a single day, I might get suspended and my Admit Card will fly away...Meanwhile did I told you that every student were forced to give retest of all the subjects who scored 40(50 in other cases) or less even in a single exam?.I forcefully went to school for 15–18 days which sucked my morning study time. Sometimes, I was forced to give retest instead of attending classes. Sometimes in a lecture hall, sometimes in a room with very less students, and even once alone at Library..Meanwhile the Retest series 2 also were announced. Every students who appeared in Retest 1, also had to appear in Retest 2. Forcefully, offline. Each and everytime..On 6th March 2021, I was forcefully made to sit on the SST retest. The normal timing of test is from 9 to 12 but this time, we have to start the test at 8:30 exactly and submit the paper exactly at 11:30. We need to reach home and give attendence for online test by 11:50. The online test was between 12 to 1..We are only able to give retest or attend classes at schools and are not able to study. In the class of 30 mins, all they are able to teach is 3–4 questions. And the cases at my town also started rising before they called us forcefully to school..On 8, 9 and 10th of March, I didn’t went to school because I wanted to study by myself at the morning and see here is the outcome:.I just said okay. I didn’t called my CT. All she will say is “Your ward is not coming, he is not performing well, admit card is in danger and all”..I showed message this to my mom and here is our convo:Mother - Let me talk to her otherwise she might not give the board admit card.Me - Aah leave it. Let her call herself. I wanna study at home. And now all she will speak is “if your ward don’t comes to school, no admit card. If he won’t appear in test, no admit card. If your ward won’t marry my daughter, no Admit card. And my mom left.So our school told us that 10th March is the last date to submit the school fees. Here is the message I sent to my friends regarding fees after I came back from school:Today was the last day of submitting fees i.e 10th March. The senior teacher messaged the same and told us 10 days back. I went to school in this heavy hot weather. When I reached the school, the guard told me to come on monday. I told him that the teachers told us today is the last day. So he told me to go to account section(not inside the school). At the account section, I was told to go to the Office(inside the school). When I told the guard that Account Section Department asked me to go to Office, he told me to go on Monday. I agressively spoke that today is the last and for class 10 fees submission. He ignored and was using his mobile. I asked my friend to call the teacher and we were going away until the same guard called us back. He was in a call on a telephone and asked my details. He told me that the Office department has called me to submit the fees on Friday. I just told Okay and left.Teachers - Last date on 10Guards - come on 15, not allowed to go to officeAccount section - go to officeOffice - Come on 12What to do? Does this school has any kind of coordination? There are lots of incidents that happened at my school and some teachers forcefully involved my name in it. This school treats me like a terrorist. But I won’t settle. I might change the school in 11 or stay here only. But i will take revenge from this school soon. Won’t leave them.Today they are torturing me mentally, tomorrow, they might torture someone else. And the best part is that, right after SSR’s death, our school sent us 7 phone number(including 5 of teachers and 2 of experts). They told us that we need to keep our mental health strong. My school also took 2 hour online test everyday for 3 weeks in December. Online classes from 8 to 11 and online test from 12 to 2. Everyday for 3 weeks(excluding sundays). Now they announced pre boards 2 from 18th March to 26th March. Maybe if we again score less than 40, we will spend whole April in retest and directly appear for boards. I don’t think I will appear for preboards 2 but again admit card drama will start. My school is considered a “Brand School” at my place. But no one tells that “B” is slient in “Brand”I just described a long story in short.Edit: On 16th Feb, I went to school with no idea that I will have to appear in retest of SST. I was forced to sit in SST retest. And the teacher didn’t told me what test do I have to give tomorrow and when I went to school on 17th Feb, I was forced to give Science retest. How could have I prepared in a day for science? Is it some way of “PRACTICE” or more like a “Mental Torture”?SAHAS KI VIJAY🇮🇳
What is the difference between a bed sheet, a bed in a box, a bed cover, and a bed spread?
A bed sheet is used to directly cover the mattress. In some parts of the world, it's customary to have a second sheet on top of that before a person could sleep on a bed.A bed cover on the other hand, is used to layover the bed when someone isn't sleeping on it. This could be a simple linen sheet, a quilt, or a duvet. It serves to protect the bed from dust and dirt, as well as even act as a comforter at night.A bed spread is larger. It should hang well below to cover the box of the bed, and is usually form-fitting.A 'bed in a box' features a simple, unassuming starter design; preferably adjustable, great as a starter bed or for those looking to quickly update the look of their bedroom for less. For your one-stop bed needs, try going online at bedworks.com.au for different top-notch bed sheets, linens, mattresses, bed covers, and duvets.
What are some of the greatest unsolved mysteries that we may not be aware of?
These Mysterious Unsolved Clues Lead to Virginia’s Lost Treasure of $63 MillionThose familiar with Appalachian folk history know that somewhere six feet under the ground in Virginia is over $30 million in gold, silver and precious gems stored in iron pots. For over two centuries, countless have invested decades and fortunes in the search for Ward's buried gold, without first determining if the treasure exists and if the cryptograms that describe its precise location are real.In 1885, after twenty years of puzzling over a difficult problem with limited success, James B. Ward of Lynchburg, Virginia, knew that he had little or no chance of solving the mystery that had consumed his life.[1] He decided to throw the problem to the public and see if anyone else could be successful. He published a pamphlet with the lengthy title: The Beale Papers containing Authentic Statements regarding the TREASURE BURIED in 1819 and 1821, near Bufords, in Bedford County, Virginia, and Which Has Never Been Recovered.[2]The Fascinating Tale of the Lost Treasure of the Beale Ciphers - STSTWIn this pamphlet, Ward spun a strange tale. According to letters written from Thomas J. Beale to Robert Morriss, Beale had led a party of thirty men west in 1816-17 on a buffalo hunt north of Santa Fe, New Mexico.[3] While out west they discovered a rich vein of gold and gave up hunting in favor of mining. By 1819 they had accumulated a large store of gold. According to the account:...the question of transferring our wealth to some secure place was frequently discussed. It was not considered advisable to retain so large an amount in so wild and dangerous a locality, where its very possession might endanger our lives; and to conceal it there would avail nothing, as we might at any time be forced to reveal its place of concealment.[4]The men decided to move their horde by wagon back to Bedford County, Virginia. They brought it back in two shipments and buried the gold in iron pots in a secret vault roughly lined with stone some six feet beneath the ground, four miles (6.44 km) from the town of Bufordville.[5] The treasure consisted of 2,921 pounds of gold and 5,100 pounds of silver, as well as jewels obtained in St. Louis to save transportation.[6] In 1982, one journalist investigating the Beale story estimated the modern value of the treasure to be 30 million dollars (62 million in today's market).[7]Thomas Beale - WikipediaAccording to Ward's writings, the group entrusted their secret to Robert Morriss of Lynchburg while they traveled back to west to get a third shipment.[8] Morriss was given a strongbox with instructions not to open it for ten years.[9] If the men failed to return by then, Morriss had been instructed to find someone trustworthy in whom to confide in case anything happened to him or his companions so that their next of kin could receive the treasure.Morriss followed his friend's instructions, guarding the box for 23 years.[10] In 1845, convinced that Beale was dead, he finally opened it. Inside, Morriss found a letter of explanation from Beale along with three sheets of numbers. The cryptograms consisted of a series of numbers from one to three digits long. Each page of numbers was a cipher. The first told the location of the treasure. The second described the treasure. The third provided a list of the relatives for the men who had discovered the treasure. Beale's letter stated that the key to the ciphers was to have been sent by a friend of his from St. Louis, but this had never arrived.[11]After spending years attempting to decode the ciphers, about a year before his death in 1863, he passed the box onto Ward. Ward, by accident, solved one of the cryptogram ciphers. The message Morriss’s friend successfully deciphered used a cryptographic technique called a book cipher.[12] To make a book cipher, you start with a document—any document, as long as the person writing the message and the person reading it have identical copies—and number all the words consecutively. This becomes your key. Then, to create your ciphertext, you look through your key for each word you want to encode and write down its number. He was able to decode the message by consecutively numbering the words in the Declaration of Independence, then swapping those words with the matching numbers in the cipher number 2.[13] The message he was able to decode gave him a list of the vault's contents.[14] The other two messages, which were supposed to carry the location of the treasure and the list of men who were part of the group, Ward failed to decrypt after many years of trying.Ward blamed his financial problems on his compulsive pursuit of an answer to the two remaining cryptograms. To put the matter behind him he decided to make the whole affair public: ....I resolved to sever at once, and forever, all connection with the affair, and retrieve, if possible, my errors. To do this, and as the best means of placing temptation beyond my reach, I determined to make public the whole matter, and shift from my shoulders my responsibility to Mr. Morriss.[15]Purgatory Mountain (Does Cryptic Code Hidden in Beale Ciphers Reveal Secrets of the Freemasons?)After Ward published his pamphlet many people tried to decode the messages. Most failed. A few decided that they succeeded, but their decryptions were faulty, leading to wrong conclusions. Many spent small fortunes themselves digging up Virginia hillsides trying to find the treasure. In 1966 a Tennessee banker employed a backhoe to dig up a considerable chunk of land with no result.[16] A bulldozer was used to level most of a hill on Purgatory Mountain without any better luck.Between 1897 and 1912, two brothers, George and Clayton Hart, took up the Beale challenge, spending much of their spare time looking for documents that might serve as keys for the other two ciphers much as the Declaration of Independence had been for cipher 2.[17] Though they never managed to decrypt the messages, that didn't stop them from digging at what they considered promising sites. To this end they even employed a psychic who claimed to be able to trace Beale' s journey, but still found nothing.[18]In 1968 the Beale Cypher Association was founded.[19] The group hoped that by pooling their resources and talents they might finally solve the mystery, but though they have been successful in documenting the story of the Beale papers, they have not found the treasure, but rather are unraveling what could be one of history's most elaborate hoax. One of the first clues that the Beale papers are not what they seem is in one of the documents which is a letter from Morriss to Ward. He states:It was in the month of January, 1820, while keeping the Washington Hotel, that I first became aquainted with Beale...[20]A notice in the Lynchburg Virginian for December 2nd, 1823 shows that Morriss didn't become the proprietor until three years later.[21] In addition, the Washington Inn wasn't known as the Washington Hotel until after Morriss sold it. There are a few anachronisms in the text as well. For example, a letter from Beale dated 1822 talks about "stampeding" a herd of buffalo.[22] The word stampede (from the Spanish estampida) did not enter into print before 1844, twenty-two years after the letters supposed composition.[23] A similar instance with the word improvise, which was not in use during the 1820s.[24]Jean Lafitte - Buried Treasures of the Notorious Pirate of the Gulf - RareGoldNuggets.comBeyond that, there is no solid evidence that a Thomas Jefferson Beale existed in Virginia in the early 19thcentury.[25] The main character of the Beale treasure, the very mysterious Thomas Jefferson Beale, was described by Lynchburg hotelier Robert Morriss as follows:“About 6 feet in heightJet-black hair and eyesDark and swarthy complexionThe handsomest man ‘I have ever seen’Very charming and popular with everyone, especially the ladies” [26]This happens to match a description of Jean Lafitte during the same 1815–1820s time period.[27] Furthermore, Lafitte supposedly buried a treasure near Galveston, Texas, that was never found. Could these treasures be one in the same? Was the Galveston, Texas, treasure just transported to Bedford, Virginia, for safety? Was Jean Lafitte the real Mr. Beale? Also there are no records of an expedition that found gold in California. The original Beale papers themselves do not even exist. Some researchers believe that The Beale Papers was written anonymously by a playwright and novelist named John W. Sherman and distributed by Ward—a close relative—not as a hoax or a scam but as a fundraiser.[28] The pamphlet was published shortly after a major fire at the Virgina Job Print factory in Lynchburg, Virginia that killed five men.[29] Ward and Sherman may have cooked it up to help raise money to provide for the bereaved families, with the assumption that purchasers would realize it was a work of fiction.[30] According to this theory, only later, after the story had gained some popularity, was it sold more widely and with less virtuous goals. The Beale VaultIf the Beale letters are a hoax there are probably three candidates for the originator- Beale himself, Morriss and Ward. Clearly most skeptics focus on Ward. He published the pamphlet and charged for each copy. Statistical studies of the word usage in the pamphlet suggest that probably all the texts in it were written by a single person, most likely Ward.[31] Little is known about Ward, but unlike Beale, he clearly did exist. Ward grew up in the same section of Virginia as figures in the Beale papers story. It is believed he was a member of the Freemasons. Records show he joined Dove Lodge No. 51 in 1862.[32] Ward's membership in the organization may give clues to motives he may have had for concocting a hoax. Many of the elements in the Beale Papers' story show up in Masonic rites. The idea of a vault (the exact word used by Beale) filled with treasures and lined with rough stone is part of Masonic symbolism.[33] Joe Nickell, a skeptic researching the Beale tale concluded in his book Mysterious Realms:9...Beale and his treasure are illusory-merely part of an allegory meant to evoke the anticipated Masonic `discovery of the secret vault and the inestimable treasures, with the long-lost word'...The contrast between the futile quest for gold and that for more spiritual wealth are didactically expressed in the allegory...[34]A Treasure a Freemason’s Tale by Dan Mento identifies lifelong Freemason Dr. Robert Morris, the second Freemason Poet Laureate and father of the Order of the Eastern Star, as the architect of the Beale Papers.[35]Where did Ward get the inspiration for his story? Several have alluded to Edgar Allan Poe's story The Gold Bug. Published in 1843, the plot follows William Legrand, who was bitten by a gold-colored bug.[36] His servant Jupiter fears that Legrand is going insane and goes to Legrand's friend, an unnamed narrator, who agrees to visit his old friend. Legrand pulls the other two into an adventure after deciphering a secret message that will lead to a buried treasure. Poe became aware of the public's interest in secret writing in 1840 and asked readers to challenge his skills as a code-breaker.[37] The popularity of the story centers on one such cryptogram. The encoded message is:53‡‡†305))6*;4826)4‡.)4‡);80 6*;48†8¶60))85;1‡(;:‡*8†83(88) 5*†;46(;88*96*?;8)*‡(;485);5*† 2:*‡(;4956*2(5*-4)8¶8*;40692 85);)6†8)4‡‡;1(‡9;48081;8:8‡1 ;48†85;4)485†528806*81(‡9;48 ;(88;4(‡?34;48)4‡;161;:188;‡?; The key (with letter frequency) is: a 5 (12) b 2 (5) c - (1) d † (8) e 8 (33) f 1 (8) g 3 (4) h 4 (19) i 6 (11) j k l 0 (6) m 9 (5) n * (13) o ‡ (16) p . The legend is that a retired shipping company man named John Swift found a treasure of silver west of the Allegheny Mountains.[39] He claimed that he operated a mine from 1761-1769. During that time, he was counterfeiting English crowns in anger or resentment toward the British king who controlled the colonies.[40] The legend goes that he buried large amounts of silver in the area. Swift fell on hard times when he was imprisoned in Britain for speaking up for the colonies. When he was finally released from prison and returned to the United States for the silver, the story goes, “he was blind and couldn’t find it—he had written down some cryptic notes on how to get to the mine, but he never could find it”.[41] Swift’s journal—which some believe was faked in order to draw tourists—has been used for more than 200 years by treasure hunters.[42] Among those said to have searched for the mine was James Harrod, founder of Harrodsburg, who disappeared in 1792, and was never found. [43] Some believe he died searching for silver. If the Beale Papers are only a story, what about the two undecyphered messages? Are they merely random series of numbers? In 1971, Dr. Carl Hammer did a computer study of the undecyphered messages and concluded that there were cyclic patterns in the numbers that suggested they were not just random, but most likely text-encoded in the same manner as the decoded cipher number two.[44]Consequently, the tale of the Beale ciphers continues to enthral generations of codebreakers and treasure hunters. However, anybody who might be tempted to take up the challenge of the Beale ciphers should take heed of some words of caution given by the author of the pamphlet:“Before giving the papers to the public, I would give them a little advice, acquired by bitter experience. It is, to devote only such time as can be spared from your legitimate business to the task, and if you can spare no time, let the matter alone … Never, as I have done, sacrifice your own and your family’s interests to what may prove an illusion; but, as I have already said, when your day’s work is done, and you are comfortably seated by your good fire, a short time devoted to the subject can injure no one, and may bring its reward.”[45]So what would the undeciphered messages tell us? The location of a priceless treasure? Or a confirmation that the story is a fabrication by Ward? Unfortunately, until Beale's Cryptograms are deciphered, Ward's treasure remains a mystery.Footnotes[1] The UnMuseum - Beal Cryptograms[2] https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://www.bibmath.net/crypto/ancienne/bealetextes.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwjQ88ni85rqAhWKW80KHYhWBsAQFjAbegQIAxAB&usg=AOvVaw3C9UHn0cMCFZGsCbqLNjb1[3] The Quest to Break America’s Most Mysterious Code—And Find $60 Million in Buried Treasure[4] The Fascinating Tale of the Lost Treasure of the Beale Ciphers - STSTW[5] Does Cryptic Code Hidden in Beale Ciphers Reveal Secrets of the Freemasons?[6] The Lost Treasure of the Beale Ciphers[7] Uncracked Codes and Ciphers[8] Books of Interest[9] https://treasurehunter.proboards.com/thread/124/who-robert-morriss[10] http://Some researchers believe that The Beale Papers was written anonymously by a playwright and novelist named John W.
