had a few of the somewhat dreaded "is there a doctor on board" calls over the years and fortunately apart from one all could be easily ameliorated without much technology. From my limited experience people are prone to not eat and drink enough, hence had to treat a few simple faints and episodes of low blood sugar...both of which don't require much technology but mainly the ability to rule out that it is not something more serious and decided whether to advise a landing or not. Orange juice, water , a chocolate bar, some room to breath and just simply showing empathy while reassuring the fellow traveller go a long way! What did surprise me though was on one long flight while encountering a person with diabetes who had a low blood sugar I discovered there was no glucose gel in the emergency kit...such a simple and cheap remedy that can make all the difference to be forgotten and yet they had much more expensive kit included in the bag ?!?? Since then I always fly with a couple of glucose gel sachets in my overhead bag. (which -Murphy's law- have not been required so far)
