I have read an article in Bangalore Mirror on Mr. Rajeev Suri in which he had thanked MIT, in his letter to Dr. Ramdas M Pai, chancellor, for celebrating his appointment with enthusiasm, and added, "You and my fabulous teachers and professors have been very kind. I recall a lot of happiness. Education was terrific, the learning was holistic and the infrastructure was excellent. My professors were very supportive, encouraging and superb at their skills. Like many students, I took full advantage of my education and the all-round experience that Manipal provided. I also ensured that I built remarkable and lifelong friendships and I had great camaraderie with many wonderful people. I thoroughly enjoyed the fantastic environment and the learning that was to be found everywhere in this beautiful university town. Indira PriyaDarshini was born to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and Kamala Nehru in Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh.During independence and freedom struggle, Mahatma Gandhi aka Mohandas KaramChand Gandhi among with others used to frequent Tihar jail as to suppress the freedom struggle by the British Raj.Once in that process Nehru and Gandhi stayed for a long time in the same jail, without no idea of when they were going to be released. During these times of hard ship, due to lack of atleast minimal facilities inside the jails. It is not like today's jail facilities during pre independence or in British India.Then Nehru started writing letters to his only and one daughter Indira PriyaDarshini from the jail. Indira too used to continue the correspondence with her father in the jail. Later in post independent India, those letters are published as Letters to his daughter.During this times when both Gandhi and Nehru were put in the jail, both Nehru's wife Kamala Nehru, his parents Motilal Nehru and his wife died due to Ill health concerns,as well as Mahatma Gandhi's wife Kasturba Gandhi too in the same circumstances. They all were attending as nurses to the injured and diseased and dying people as the members of freedom and independence struggle, where Nehru's parents made make shift clinics in their own real estate properties to serve to the needy injured members of the struggle, and they too restless tired and became prey to the diseases borne by the injured and the dying, also because of lack of medical facilities like medicines etc., to treat every body including for their own personal survivals out of that sicknesses spread to them too.Same type of Ill health was experiencing by Nehru and the Gandhi in their respective cells in the jail. Nehru clearly mentioned about the very poor conditions prevalent during British ruled times jails. So, Nehru mentioned in one of the letters to his daughter Indira PriyaDarshini, he don't know in that kind of pathetic conditions, how long will Gandhi and he will survive inside the jail.If so, suggested her to lead the independence and freedom struggle and continue it till they get the end result out of it.In this kind of situation, Indira, as an young and lonely woman, used to get help from Feroze(Firoz) belonged to a minority community. He is to run errands for her and slowly became close to her, which in turn they both fell in love with each other.Then when Nehru and Gandhi survived from the jail and came back to the main stream independence and freedom struggle,with in no span of time British retreated by inviting Mahatma Gandhi(Mohandas KaramChand Gandhi) and Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru to London in present UK(United Kingdom) and gave the India's freedom and independence declaration doctrines signed by both parties in the name of Mohandas KaramChand Gandhi(Mahatma Gandhi) by the seal of approval by the queen of England H.E. Elizabath 11(2). on August 15 th 1947. At the stroke of midnight of August 14th 1947.Then Gandhi, Nehru and other Congress party stalwarts decided to go for democratic type of government instead of MahaRaj/Raj style of government known as democracy, where people will elect directly their representatives in the name of voting or electing process by the people, of the people and for the people.Then Gandhi nominated Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru as the first prime minister of free and independent India. That is on August 15th 1947, our first independence day.Later on, Indira PriyaDarshini brought in front of his father Nehru, that she wants to marry Firoz, her lover during the absence of his father's jail days, they both fell in love with each other.Nehru requested Indira, his own biological daughter to forget her love towards Firoz, and listen to him, where as his beloved daughter will seek for an appropriate match and can live happily ever after.Indira, refused to yield in to his(Nehru's) advise and threatened him, she is not fond of his riches, position, status etc., at any cost she will marry Firoz and no one else.Then, Nehru too became enraged, as she(Indira) didn't heeded to his advise and told her, once she steps out from his property by eloping with her lover, will end all kinds of relationships with him and also couldn't get even a single paisa from his tangible and intangible properties.Without hesitation, she immediately bagged her belongs and left to the Gandhi's ashram. And told to Gandhi about her love affair and how she wants marry him, while when brought the matter in front of her father Nehru, how he refused her proposal of marrying Firoz and she had cut off all kinds of ties with her father Nehru. Gandhi immediately summoned Nehru to his place, and tried to convince him, he didn't heeded to Gandhi's advise and or request to accept their love and marriage.Later on Gandhi summoned Firoz, in front of him, Gandhi adopted Indira PriyaDarshini as his daughter and made them marry in his ashram. Due to which Indira PriyaDarshini became Indira Gandhi or Indira PriyaDarshini Gandhi. As Firoz also got no parents, he requested Gandhi to adopt him also and treat him like his son, instead of son-in-law. Like that Firoz also got the name tag as Firoz Gandhi.Later on Firoz entered politics and elected as Lok Sabha member under the Nehru's government, and he was killed by a bomb blast still in his stint as member of parliament.Then as Indira Gandhi became alone again, then she went to Nehru's place and pleaded pardon/excuse, which he whole heartedly accepted and pardoned her. She became a personal aide to him in-house and outhouse, she used to accompany Nehru every where he went with in India and abroad not only as his beloved daughter, also as a personal aide to him, as the first prime minister of independent and free India from the foreign power known as British Raj.
