Since the Republicans have never* appointed a female to the Senate judiciary committee, it is impossible to say whether this behavior was that of a misogynist pig or mere partisan hackery. You have to go back to the 19th century to see racism on this scale - that’s how racist the caucus proposal is. If you read a great deal of nineteenth century literature in English like me, it’s common to come across pejorative words against the French, the Italians, Jewish people, Greeks, the Irish and more.
