Apart from this, which is a short and not at all comprehensive example, I don’t think anybody has ever done a frequency analysis of all the letters used in Marathi, so I can’t give you an exact answer.Having said that, as a Marathi speaker, I must say that the letter ळ is used way too often in Marathi. In names, nouns, verbs and whatnot. Mostly it’s used in places where there would be ल in Sanskrit or its descendants other than Marathi. There are hundreds if not thousands of Marathi words that use ळ.One clue may be to check the frequency of usage of the letter ल in Sanskrit. The frequency of ळ in Marathi may be somewhat similar- albeit not at all identical because Marathi also uses the letter ल extensively, the letter being enshrined in some fairly frequent declension forms. The link I gave says that ल is the fifth most common letter in Marathi. I wonder what would be the position & % of ळ. That the letter is damned common in both writing as well as conversation is so blatantly obvious that it need not need any clarification.
