I don't remember Ryan Reynolds being panned for Green Lantern. A cloud. Yes, a cloud. There's a saying that a movie is only as good as its villain. A cloud.As for Deadpool - excellent writing and the role Reynolds was born to play.

The overarching theme of someone who has narcissistic personality disorder (npd) is that they are protecting a very vulnerable inner ego. More often than not they are going to protect their fragile inner-self through denial and manipulation. Knowing this and the person with npd that you are dealing with you can start to answer the question - when will they stop trying to track an old discard? - with some accuracy.The narcissist will need to be secure in these areas before they stop trying to track you or the discarded person. FYI I will use the word “you” or “the discarded person” interchangeably throughout this post:Unique Energy/Attention: Narcissist are able to deny that anything is wrong with them because they get so much attention from people. Without this attention the narcissist would start to become aware that something is wrong (and maybe it is them). If the person that was discarded supplied them with a unique type of attention, let’s say they were famous or very popular, the tracking may not stop until the narcissist can fill that gap. This may be easy, difficult, or a never-ending process (cringe) because of how unique that person was. It does not have to be that you are famous either. In general, the more unique you are in terms of energy/attention the more time and barriers it is going to take in order for them to back off and stop keeping tabs on you.Damage control (reputation): Once again, protecting the inner-ego at all cost, the narcissist will track the person they discarded to stay on top of the story they created, they’ll draw validation from any negativity they find, and will use that to control the damage done by the bomb they set off in their life. You get hit with all the manipulative tactics towards the end of the relationship with a narcissist because you’ve witness things that they do not want anyone else to know about them and you’ve shown resistant to their attempts to place the blame back on you. Should this information get out into the world by a credible person (you) it could ruin their reputation or cause them to have to answer questions from their family and friends that they are not confident they can escape blame from. With this in mind, they will track you as long as they feel threatened by your voice. If you have kids together, it’s going to be awhile before the threat of you speaking out goes away in there mind. If you do not have kids, a general rule would be - the less combative you were throughout the discard, the shorter amount of time they’ll spend tracking you for this reason.
