Yes and No. It was my Creative Writing Major.I have finished University now, but I did certainly regret the first degree I did.Although I was not the smartest in High School, I was getting decent grades (mainly B's with a few A's). I live in Australia and we generally get into University based on an ATAR score. This score is obtained after completing four of more ATAR classes. I was doing four ATAR classes in Year 12, however I just had to go ahead and have a brain tumor that caused me to take time off school. I could not keep up with the work load and had to drop one ATAR. I was now in the position of not being able to obtain an ATAR score.I tried completing a University Preparation Course, however, I was still going through treatment and I once again could not keep up with the work. I had wanted to study History, but consequently went for my second passion, Creative Writing. I got into this course as I only had to give a portfolio of my written work and was accepted.I did my Creative Writing Major in a Bachelor of Arts Degree. I enjoyed it, as I loved writing, but I knew in my heart I should have waited till I fully recovered, completed the preparation course and studied History.However, it did turn out well in the end. After completing my Creative Writing major (I had since made a full recovery), I applied to do my Masters in Philosophy, Masters in Creative Writing and my Bachelors of Arts Degree with a History major. Somehow, I managed to complete all three degrees with Honours. The Bachelor of Arts Degree lasted a year longer than the other two, and I completed that one when I was in my first year of my PhD in Philosophy.As of right now, I am under 30 years old and Lecture at a University for both History and Creative Writing.

The uncertainty.I'll graduate from college in May of 2018. I'm already a year behind my age group since I transferred, but that's okay: I'm a summer birthday so the kids in my grade were always older than me. I'll be 22 this year as a senior, and will turn 23 a few months after I graduate.The only regret I have about transferring is that at my old school, I did 3 years in a highly intensive, nationally renowned Bachelor of Fine Arts program. At the end of this school year, I’ll have earned a Bachelor of Arts. I wish I was getting a BFA. I worked for it.I don't have a single clue where I'll be next year with my Creative Arts degree. I have a wide variety of creative-based interests and I don't know how to begin my job search. Should I be a wedding planner? Should I be a makeup designer? Should I work for a bakery and aim to own a shop someday? Should I write children’s books? Should I be a cheerleading coach? I have no idea what my calling is, except for the facts that it would be something traditionally girly and artistic. When I was a graphic design major, it was much easier to narrow it down.Realistically, I know I can't control everything and that very few people my age have it all figured out. I just hate not knowing. I wish I had a clearer idea and it would reassure me that I'll do okay as I transition into being a full-blown adult.
