PDF Editor FAQ

How is the style of architecture observed in the temple building process of North India and South India?

South Indian Temples styles represent a gradual uninterrupted evolution over time. North India Temples styles have a distinct break with traditional evolution due to the destructive impact of Ashoka, and then Islam. It has been the Indian view from times immemorial that the arts convey a spiritual message. The original Aryan view is that the Sun is the living idol of Brahman and all nature is his temple where every deity and spirit is a manifestation of Brahman. Where every entity (or body) is a complete Bheeja (seed or fractal) replicated by and, in turn, mimicking Brahman. The austere Rig Veda (10,000 years ago?) of the Central Asian plains was infused with the joy of the Aryan discovery of India, a land overflowing with milk and honey, to birth the Yajur Veda (8,000 years ago?). The itinerant Aryans, reaping the fruit of Dravidian agriculture, architecture and civilization, settled and progressed to the stylized music of the Sama Veda (6,000 years ago?). With the integration of the technologies and philosophies of Dravidian civilization (such as Agriculture, Architecture, Irrigation and so on) into the Aryan culture (Chivalry, Law, Astronomy, Military Science, Animal Husbandry and others) was born the Atharva Veda (4,000 years ago?), incorporating the Agama (that which came from outside) Shastras (rules) that dwell, among other things, on temple architecture. This, then, is the genesis of Indo-Aryan architecture. The earliest surviving temples, that have weathered the destructiveness of Islamic invaders, are all designed as material mimicry of the Spiritual realms. Hewn out of rock by Chalukya and Pallava Kings in the Deep South of India and comparatively safe from Moslems, these are all allegorical puzzles intended to evoke spiritual realization. In an inscription by Mahendravarman Pallava (around 1,500 years ago?) we are clearly told that the exquisite cave temple (at Mahabalipuram) was built “without bricks, without mortar, without wood and without metal” (etad anishtakam adrumam, aloham asudham – Sanskrit. i.e. Indo-Aryan, not Dravidian). The hidden allusion in this passage becomes clear when viewed in the context of the Rig Veda, where, the heart is a cave (guha), hewn in the rock of the body, in which dwells the eternal spirit (guhasaya gahvareshtah puranah). A vedic text describes the citadel of the Deva s (Brahman’s officers), as having eight nodes (Chakra s) and nine doorways and as enveloping a golden core of light, (Chintamani lit. Gem of consciousness), where divine beings actually dwell. Tantra texts explain how there are openings in the human body, and Chakras are key point nodes (Loka s : spheres of positive existence; also Laya or melody) juxtaposed with antinodes (Tala s : spheres of negative existence or rhythm - hells) where the divine-spiritual will manifests in the human body through key points in the nervous system. The seven major ones are stacked vertically from a point near the coccyx to a point just above the head and represent ascending planes of consciousness, perception and truth. These are dynamos of sensory and motor energy. Note: Tantra means “methodology” (of which there are sixty-four distinct traditional disciplines, ranging from Asceticism to Hedonism. Brahmins, traditionally follow Samayachara Tantra – balance and moderation). Mantra is the vibration of manifest consciousness (meaningful sound). Yantra is a tool, machine, puzzle, symbol or temple. The three (Tantra, Mantra and Yantra) form the ingredients of human ritual, culture and civilization. The congruence between a temple of stone and a temple of flesh and a temple of spirit is carried much further when we proceed from the cave temples to the structural ones of later times. In these, the “King of the Dark Chamber” is conceived as enthroned in lofty majesty (South India), or encircled by a divine aura or halo of light (North India). While the Devalaya (Temple) is regarded as the house of eternity or the abode of the immortal everywhere, in the North the emphasis is on the Aryan conception of Brahma (or Budha) as omniscience or consciousness. The South Indian temple is skewed, in Dravidian parlance, to be the abode of the King of the Universe (Ko-il). Emphasising this conception is the choice of rock as the material for construction and a tower, particularly should a hill or promontory be unavailable to site. The imperishable material of stone was suggestive of eternity while the promontory uplifted the focus. On the plains, a tower sought the same latter effect. Generally, in the North, towers received emphasis over the sanctum while the South moved from this position (as in the Brihadeeswara (Lord of the Universe) Temple at Tanjore) to raise the more imposing towers over the entrance (Meenakshi Temple of Madurai or Sriranganatha (Lord of the glorious theatre) Temple near Trichinopoly). The form of ritual worship is often in the form of stylized court (durbar) procedure where the Deity is referred to as Emperor (Sarvabhauma) and obligatory royal greetings, tributes, ceremonies and services (Rajopachara) are performed stressing that the deity is a representation of the “King of the Universe”.As regards the form of a temple, one is struck, at first, with the flagstaff (dhwajasthamba) right in front. Dhwaja (flag) represents the creative principle in the human body, and the festive season when the flag is hoisted corresponds to Spring when flowers blossom and nature unfurls Her flag. The courtyard of a temple may be compared to the lungs. Past this is the heart of the temple called the Garbhagruha – the house of creation / origin. This word is a silent witness of the original form of the temple, which consisted of a rock cut cave with one or more chambers. The spire (Vimana-Lit. Sky, Fig. Roof) over the Garbhagruha might be of seven, nine, eleven, or twelve stories. In the exquisite, and perfect temples built by the Hoysala Kings, we find three, five or seven rows of friezes on the railed parapet. In Srirangam we find seven walled enclosures. The number of porches and niches (mantapa s) is 108 or 1001. The significance of number is apparent not only in present day India, but also in Greater India. The grotto of the 1000 Budhas in Serindia, for example. In Borobudur (Java) we have an enclosing wall, five polygonal and three circular galleries connected by a staircase, and 504 figures in niches and cupolas. It is noteworthy too that the number of figures in the niches is 108 to each side on the decorated platforms.Since ancient Rig Vedic times, the Aryan novitiate repeats sacred mantras in sets of 108 till it becomes an integrated inner vibration that can be evoked at will. The symbolism of number is explained in various passages of the Yajurveda and in the Tantra texts. Three denotes the attributes of matter and spirit ; the proclivities (guna s) of Rajasa (Activity, extremism and materialism), Tamasa (Inertia and negativism) and Satvica (Truth, moderation and positivism); the aspects of Brahman (Shiva :destructive, Vishnu: preservative and Brahma: Creative) and their Shakthis (manifestations/energies of Parvathi :power, Lakshmi: prosperity and Saraswathi: wisdom) etc. Seven refers to the orifices in the head, the structure of creation (loka and tala) and the spiritual or subtle (sukshma) layers of manifest reality (sthula). Eleven indicates the mind, the sense organs, and the senses. Twelve refers to the power of light. The Vimana, thus, traditionally represents the head over the region of the heart (garbhagruha). There is a detail, more prevalent in the South, significantly called the neck (kantha) between the two spaces. The terms used by traditional architects, sculptors and masons (sthapathis) are full of allusions to the human body.Fa-hien, the medieval Chinese explorer who chronicled his journeys through India (Beal: Budhist Records. Vol.I, pp 68-69) describes a since destroyed rock cut monastery of the Deccan as having five stages. The lowest is made with elephant figures and has 500 cells in it. The second is made with lion figures and has 400 chambers. The third is made with horses and has 300 chambers. The fourth is made with ox shapes and has 200 chambers. The fifth has dome shapes and has 100 chambers in it.It is not coincidence that the same animals are echoed in the Sanchi sculptures; which reappear, much later in Ashoka’s handiwork and play a prominent part in Budhist birth stories and iconography. One conjecture is that these animals symbolize the four quarters. But Rampurva is content with just two (the bull and the Lion – History of fine art, p.60). We have more than four animals in the remains of the Moslem depredations of the exquisite sculptures of the Hoysala Kingdomand Vijayanagar Empire, neither of which was Budhist, being driven by Aryan principles towards the emerging kaleidoscope of “Hinduism”, and were later than Ashoka. The symbolism of animals is apparent not only in the art of the ancient Indo-Aryans (Harappa and Mohenjo Daro – 8,000 years ago?) but throughout India and Greater India (Ceylon, South East Asia). The animals appear in the same order in almost all cases, cultures, kingdoms, empires, over a vast expanse of time. One plausible theory (Prof. S.V. Venkateshwara) is that this is a crystallization of the suggestive animal analogies and symbolism from the Upanishads (teachings) of the Rig Vedic period. Horses symbolize the senses (Indriyam Hayanahuh) and the chariot the mind, according to the Katha Upanishad. Later Vedic literature has the mind compared to the Bull, which would either rest (tamasa) or run astray (rajasa), and so has to be driven along the steep road of truth (Satvika Marga) to human perfection (ramyo balivardhah). Puranic (Allegorical traditional History) and Tantric cosmology elaborate the symbolism to a further extent. In the Markandeya Purana, Durga as Pranashakthi (life force), is described as riding a lion (Simha-Vahini). In Puranic and Tantric cosmology, the spiritual forces supporting the materially manifested Universe and the planet are named and represented as Elephants. The spiritual-subtle (sukshma) sheaths (auras) of the gross body (sthula shareera) are in exactly the same order in philosophy as in sculpture. The material body (elephant), the life force (lion), the senses (horses), the mind (ox), and spiritual knowledge (dome: Vimana – lit. Sky, fig. Roof). The crocodile (Makara of Hoysala for example) that appears and disappears from period to period and from dynasty to dynasty may be suggestive of Nescience (Moha- the illusion of passion and lust) whose capture is conquest of the self, as laid down in the Panchadasi-prakarana. (Savila-samahamohagrahagrasaikakarmane : Chapter 1:1). The symbolism of other figures is explicable on similar lines. Garuda (the now extinct Indian Eagle) preying on the dragon may represent the cycle during which the immortal parts are liberated from the gross matter to which they have been wedded. i.e. liberation. The Upanishads assert that the body is the sustenance of the life force (Sarire pranah prathistithah : Taitreya Upanishad), and that the emergence of the realised self from the gross body is with the speed of the hawk (Syeno javasa niradiyamiti). The message of the earlier surviving Indo-Aryan temples, such as Mahabalipuram or Tanjore is simple and straightforward. The intricately carved, awe inspiring main Vimana soars directly above the Garbhagruha, raising the eyes of the beholder towards the heavens. The vimanas (usually two) to the front of the Garbhagruha descend in height to the Dhwajasthamba. This asserts the supremacy of the spirit over the mind, and the mastery of the mind over the body. The clear message is that the spiritual precedes the physical. Contrast this with the later Indo-Aryan temples such as Meenakshi (Fish like Eyes – The fish nurtures and guides its young with its eyes) at Madurai, Sriranganatha near Trichinopoly, or Srinivasa (The abode of glory) on Thirumala. Here, the Garbhagruha is plain, dark, and simple. As one moves away from the center, the grandeur, the intricacy, the size, well-lit explicitness and the impressiveness of engineering, sculptural and architectural feats expands and grows rapidly in arithmetic or geometric progression towards the periphery. The Garbhagruha is comprehensively dwarfed by the towering Vimana (Rajagopura – Royal Tower) over the main gate and other gates. Fergusson posits that there is “a bathos of decreasing size and elaboration as one approaches the sanctuary”, and that there is “a mistake that nothing can redeem”. One hazard is that the temple commenced in a small way and was expanded with growing popularity and revenues. Nothing could be further from the truth. Each of these temples was conceived, planned and executed as a single project, albeit over time. In truth, these Yantra s (Temples) represent the creation of the Cosmos, expanding in intricacy from the simple primordial vibration of consciousness to the delightful, terrifying and intimidating illusion of the full manifest reality. As one moves through the Seven enclosures (Prakaras) sampling the beauty, the variety, the complexity of existence, often incorporating food stalls, boutiques, and bazaars towards the simplicity, stillness, and darkness of the center (Garbhagruha), one mimics and prototypes one’s own spiritual voyage towards the center of spirituality and truth from the periphery of materialistic illusion. The hidden message of the Indian temple is the conception of spiritual progress. Of passing from the heat and glare of work-a-day life to the dark chamber of mystery where the Human Spirit contacts its Soul and Reality. This last emerges from the naked form of the image in a dimness only sharpened by lights, with the worshipper, in poised contemplation, in which the self is forgotten, and the travails of pilgrimage and devotion are already behind, beholding the Glory and Power of Light contrasted in the shroud of darkness.Note on the teleology of Indian Temples: There are three principal Aryan Teleologies. Arundhati Darshana Nyaya (the logic of pointing to the star “Arundhati”). Bhaga Thyaga Nyaya (the logic of sacrificing the parts). Atma Darshana Nyaya (the logic of seeing one’s soul). The Atma Darshana Nyaya of the Brihad Aranyaka Upanishad (teachings of the forest of the universe - Rig Vedic Period) is the origin of, among other things, meditation and Zen Budhism. It proceeds from a deceptively childish tale. The beings of the three worlds approach Prajapathi (The initial creative representative of Brahman) for a last lesson to hold the advantage in their coming internecine struggle before taking up their positions in creation. First come the divine officers of Brahman (the Deva s), then the Dark Forces (Asura s – lit. anti law. The traditional name for Brahmins is Bhusura s lit. law on Earth), and then, finally, the Humans. In a wise display of compassionate equity, Prajapathi gives each of them the same Mantra in reply– “Da”. They then reflect on this and find a meaning in the remedy to their individual fatal flaws. The Angels see “Da” to stand for Damyatha (self-discipline / moderation), the Demons see it as “Daya” (mercy / compassion) and the humans as “Dana” (generosity/charity), which form the three pillars of the Dharma (The divine law of Brahma). Bhaga Thyaga Nyaya is invoked in the scientific and mathematical Samhita s (treatises / monographs – Yajur Vedic period) to reduce, by sacrificing the parts, anything too large to be viewed in its entirety into something capable of comprehension. This would be identical to the Western teleology of “analysis” but for the Aryan caveat: “what remains, therefore, is the truth. Yet, not the truth. For, it is reached by sacrificing the parts of the whole”. Arundhathi Darshana Nyaya holds forth on the importance of Yantra. If one points out a star in the firmament to another person, which star might he see? The star you pointed to, or one of his choice from the myriads on view? And so, the teacher moves step by painstaking step. First pointing to a clump of trees, and then to one of those trees, and then the branches of that tree, and thence to a clump of stars closest to the chosen branch of the selected tree, and from this clump of stars to another, and so finally, the brightest in the final clump. Indian temples are constructed assuming the application of these precepts by their beholders. The Power of templesOrigin:The temple system comes from the Aagama (That which came from outside) Shastras during the Atharva Veda period following the great civil war at Kurukshetra. In this war nearly eight out of ten Arya males were killed and Aryan hegemony came to an end. At this time the Aryas and the Druhyus inter married and became one people. The temple worship of the hitherto subject people, the Druhyus, who brought agriculture, architecture, Vishnu, Shiva and Lalitha to the Indo Gangetic Plains from pre Abrahamic Mesopotamia were Sanskritized and amalgamated with the Aryan worship of Brahma and the forces of nature. The Druhyus entered the Arya Guru Kulas in the fourth Varna of “Shudra” but enjoyed full Varna mobility thereafter depending on the assessment of individual traits and proficiencies by the Adhyapakas, Gurus and Brihaspathis. This practice was brought to an end by Ashoka who dismantled the Guru Kulas, destroyed the temples, eradicated the resurgent Aryan power and the Dharma of Bharatha Varsha and brought the Vedic period to an end. Thereafter, temple worship continued in caves or places outside Ashoka’s tyranny , while Brahmanism largely went underground and the Yagnyas and Haomas that stoked the power of divine life forces present in nature were performed in secret. Without the Guru Kulas, the skills and proclivities of each varna descended from father to son for 2, 500 years to the present day with the natural genetic reinforcement that such a large stretch of time presents. Adi Shankara, whose ancestors had fled to the deep South from Ashoka’s persecution revived the Brahma Sutras, Sanskrit and much dormant knowledge while amalgamating the Arya, Druhyu and Tribal deities into the Panchayathana (five deities). However primordial Druhyu and Tribal forms of worship from Vaishnavism, Shaivism and Shakthaism to Necrophagy, Thuggee and Cannibalism that were resurrected in the absence of Aryan (Brahmin) Law as well as Jainism that rose in reaction to the violence of Kurukhetra and Budhism have survived to the present day. Budhism , though, suffered owing to the severe backlash to Ashokan tyranny that was propagated with Budhism modified into an instrument of empire and was nearly destroyed within India while prospering elsewhere under the benign Saffron Swasthika or Aryan law rather than the Ashokan Chakra of tyranny..A Temple’s sources of PowerA temple’s power derives primarily from Prana (the life force). And the Prana Prathistha that takes place there. The Prana of every temple is different from every other temple for a variety of reasons.First, there is the deity that is resident and grows in power there through repeated invocation and worship. Not only is every deity different, but the presiding aspect of the deity installed in any particular temple will invariably differ from those at other temples dedicated to the same deity.Second, there is the very location of the temple, which is based on the forces of nature brought into play there, from geo magnetic and geo thermal to altitude, latitude, water bodies, salience of the Sun, the stars and the planets as well as natural resources present there which contribute their own unique potentialities.Third, There is the love and power of the congregation that contributed and donated their money, labour or skills to creation of the temple. More particularly the love, care and aesthetic skills of the architect and the sculptors.Fourth, there is the power of the Brahmins and the Spiritual mentor who carry out the consecration to turn a concatenation of resources into a Yantra or a tool of power. It takes a lifetime (minimum thirty years) of training and apprenticeship for architects, masons and sculptors to achieve the ability to create a body to house a Prana. Similarly, it take a life time (minimum thirty years) of training and apprenticeship for Brahmins to achieve the necessary proficiency to perform prana prathistha and install a prana and sustain it for a temple to remain a functioning Yantra. The maintenance of Temple powerPrana Prathistha is not a one time effort but is a continuous process. It requires many practices to remain a yantra.First, there is the periodic Kumba Abhishekha ( the grand ritual purification with waters from the wider congregational territory in which the Law or Arya Varsha Dharma runs. For example, the various rivers that flow through what remains of India after the British stooges partitioned the country.Second, there are the annual calendar of events (Utsava) where the local congregation gathers to both empower the deity and draw power from the deity in a mutual process of power enhancement.Third, there are the daily rituals performed by the Brahmins and their apprentices competent to perform and maintain prana and the strict observance of the peculiar disciplines, traditions and practices particular to the specific aspect of the particular deity consecrated in a particular temple, which over time, builds a momentum of power accumulation.Fourth there are the visitors from the larger congregation (e.g. All of Bharatha Varsha) who heighten the power of the temple by merely drawing on its power.Fifth, there are the visits from Holy Brahmins like myself who by visiting and announcing their Pravara (Heraldry) at the temple to receive, in return, the Prasada and Honours , thereby parting with a portion of their accumulated powers to the temple for the benefit of the local and extended congregation.Sixth, there is the regular performance of Yajnyas and Haomas by Brahmins to attract the forces of nature to augment the power of the deity consecrated in the temple and maintain the inter relatedness with Nature while remaining a concentrated power node. All these spiritual processes are quite apart from the material function of congregational temples where the Vaishnavite Temples acted as the treasury and provided entertainment and short eats to the congregation, Shaivite Temples provided shelter, education, fortress and armoury for the congregation and the Shaaktha Temples provided food and sanctuary for the congregation.Destruction of Temple Power:Any interruption, desecration, or incompetence will diminish or completely remove the Pranic Power of a temple. Without Prana a temple is no longer a Yantra and instead of a deity, you will have just a stone idol. This is why, while the Moslems were so anxious to destroy the material existence of a temple through desecration, vandalism and destruction so as to weaken the congregations, the British and their PANGOLIN* stooges who ruled since 1947 concentrated on destroying the very root and sources of Prana of the temples. To do this, the British abolished the adjudicating and law giving powers of Brahmins in their parts of India in 1921 and began persecuting them. They also gave those who were never part of the congregations and outside Aryan (Brahmin) law the label of “Dalit” and declared that both they and the Congregational People of Dharma were a Legal Fiction called the religion of Hinduism. In 1923 they confiscated the heritage Pranic Temples, Treasures, Lands, Water bodies, Forests, Educational Institutions, Gymnasiums and other commonwealth that had sustained the congregational temple welfare system and the trustees of the commonwealth, tradition, culture, knowledge, History, and laws, the Brahmins, and commenced their desecration. In 1949, The British PANGOLIN* stooges turned the People of Dharma into Third Class citizens by way of the Constitution and, in 1959, confiscated the commonwealth in whatever remained of India as well as formerly well governed and prosperous Princely States and began their desecration with a vicious earnestness that makes the Moslems and the British look like angels.Today, India’s “Secular’ (i.e PANGOLIN*) Judges, Politicians, Bureaucrats and Journalists who, by definition and constitutional operation, lack integrity, competence, knowledge, erudition, and arithmetic ,dictate what “Hinduism” is and what temple worship may or may not be and even who may be a Brahmin and what the qualifications of a Brahmin ought to be. Thus, they are reducing Temple worship to the level of India’s corrupt and incompetent Courts, Government Offices, Police Stations, Public Works, Hospitals, Educational Institutions, Legislatures, Constitution and Laws.Temples were created by local congregations for themselves. Nobody outside the congregations, particularly those who do not follow the laws, rules, regulations and beliefs that the congregations followed were allowed in. Nothing could be more reasonable than this.Technically, all Land and Water Bodies (Bhooma Devi and Aaapoma Devi) in Arya Varsha and, therefore, Bharatha Varsha, belonged to Triguna (Virinchi, Narayana, Shankara) Savitur (i.e. Mitramsha of Brahma) and hence was vested in temple centered trusts. There were five equal divisions of the produce of the land. The first Vari went to the cultivator, the Shudra, the next Vari went to Public Works which was usually managed by the Vaishyas under Royal Supervision. The Third Vari went to Charity and Public weal such as orphanages, widows’ homes, poor feeding, pathashalas (Schools), vyayamashalas (gymnasiums) and swasthashalas (healing institutions) which were also managed by Vaishyas but under Brahmana supervision. The fourth Vari went to the Chieftain or King for purposes of administration and defence. The fifth and last Vari went to the temple and was administered by the education and law giving BrahmanasThe ancient traditions of giving education and shelter (Shiva Temples), Food (Shaktha Temples) and as Almoner of last resort (Vishnu Temples) devolved upon the Indian Republic (The State) when they confiscated the congregational benefits, religious freedoms temples and commonwealth and so on into a "Hindu" lumpen that was created by the British and adopted by their disciples,Temples must maintain their traditions. The ancient traditions of giving education and shelter (Shiva Temples), Food (Shhaktha Temples) and as Almoner of last resort (Vishnu Temples) devolved upon the Indian Republic (The State) when they confiscated the congregational benefits, religious freedoms temples and commonwealth and so on into a "Hindu" lumpen that was created by the British and adopted by their disciples, the PANGOLIN*s. The State should focus on health care and education instead pf plundering the nation through taxes and profligacy and corruption driven inflation instead of looting the temples even further to fund Haj pilgrimages, Church refurbishments and the pelf, pomp, pleasure, and perversions of those certified to be congenitally backward or of alien religions or their philosophy who have been entrusted with the power to plunder the temples.. Temples may resume their traditional duties, if their traditional freedoms, rights, and the lands, water bodies, educational facilities, treasure and so on are restored to the original owners by the State.Rituals are a ladder by which one climbs in spirtuality. But with the extermination of the temple centered congregational temple welfare system and the hereditary and traditionally educated Brahmanas* who used to be available in every temple, all that remains is rituals without spirit in the absence of a holistic way of life supported by a holistic eco system..On the Basis of Dharma (Law). All disputes and crimes were brought before the Shastris at the Temples for adjudication including those against the Chieftains and Rajas. The process of appeal went up to the local temple from the Panchayat and traveled up to higher (larger) temples and finally to the Royal Court. But there were hardly any appeals except against Panchayat rulings, as all adhered to the Dharma and the Shastri's word was final.Anybody could walk up and present the case and receive justice. Usually those who were party to the dispute or to the crime (accused and victims or victim partisans) were present as audience. The whole ,matter was public, open and settled orally with no need for documentation. The facility and personnel was maintained by the temples as were the Jyothishis, Purohithas, Poojaris and Vaidyas. The Joythishi's task is to guide individuals towards Jeevan Mukthi. Focus is the individual. Shastri's focus is the Society (stability, safety and harmony), Purohith's focus is family units, Poojari's focus is community.. .Brahmanas must undergo an education in the Vedas, Shastras, Samhithas, Upanishads and so on for some thirty years beginning at the age of 5. 7 or 9, Thereafter they go through a life time of apprenticeship and learning to specialize, as Panditas (educationists), Shastris (Law givers), Jyothishas, (personal counselors in spiritual evolution), Vaidyas (Personal guides in health matters), Deekshitas (Maintainers of standards in one or more disciplines), Bharathis (repository of the History and Geography of Bharatha Varsha), Archakas and Tantris (performers of temples rituals) , Purohithas (those who guide families through spiritual evolution by means of rituals) and others. With their eradication by the British who confiscated the Temple based commonwealth (of agricultural lands, water bodies, educational institutions, gymnasiums, sacred medicinal groves etc) of the Savarna (who followed the Arya Brahmana religion) and by the Indian Rapeublic in 1959 which confiscated the commonwealth in residual India including the formerly well governed Kingdoms of Bharathavarsha (such as Mysore, Travancore, Puri, Kohlapur etc) that had now fallen into the maws of the PANGOLIN* Rapeublic, the British formed lumpen of “Hindoos” were now left to tender mercies of politically correct, populist God Men as individuals and Secular Politicians and Judges as communities. This is because, just as you cannot have a University without a campus and professors without grants to maintain them, you cannot have Brahmanas without an eco system and funds to maintain themThis brought spiritual progress to an end as a prelude to religious extinction as was the intention of the British and their stooges who ruled India after 1947.*Note: PANGOLIN: An enemy of India who believes in inequality under law, exceptions to the rule of law and persecution of some for the benefit of others. At present, the sole purpose of the Indian Republic, Constitutional or otherwise, is to pamper and provide for certain constitutionally preferred sections of society who the British found useful to hold and exploit India at the cost of those who the British hated and persecuted. Who do you think is better, Devdutta Pattanaik or Sadguru?

See your question, hope it's in GENUINE intention. Otherwise it looks like just asking for fun. Because you are asking to compare Chalk and Cheese or you are asking what is Trigonometry but you are not aware of Mathematics. But let me tell why I am answering this. Like most of us even I too got curious or say BORED, what is life all about. There must be something more. No matter how happy you are, how successful you are, how good you are, you always still yearn for something more. It is just matter of time. For eg: Even if I make you king of earth, after a point you will start to feel something is lacking. So you will not understand the answer if you are not having first hand experience of life energies, Consecration, etc. As I said if you know what is mathematics then it's easy to understand Trigonometry. So if you are aware or experience energies around you then only you can understand the answer. For this you will need some receptivity or meet a good genuine guru who can make you realize about energies.Devadutta with all due respect and with his fair share of criticisms is a well known Author, Intellectual person say like Javed Akhtar, Shobha Dee, Shabana Azmee etc. Yes a good role model if you want become a writer, a responsible person in the society and most importantly a celebrity.Coming to Sadhguru, there is nothing to hide about him. He has his fair share of critics and is a well known Spiritual Guru or Mystic is what I prefer to call. Now when you say Spiritual Guru he does not fall in the bracket like the usual do good, be good gurus or just preach, does yoga, give gyan, or offer solace. He knows how to handle the very life energies that is source of all creation. This is where I say DON'T BELIEVE THE ANSWERS I SAY, BUT FIND OUT IF WHAT I M SAYING IS TRUTH.Here’s few OTHERS who have Transcended human Body, Mind, Consciousness, Emotions, Desires, Sins and even worshipping God himself. Trailanga, Vivekananda, Ramana Maharishi. These people where able to die at will because they knew how to handle their life energies. Details may be exaggerated but its not impossible. Dig deep, atleast you will know they left body or died at free will. FACT, they left their body@ will. Even Gandhi– fasted for 21days. So you can call not even as spirituality. So Sadhguru is truly a MYSTIC & read on for proofs. It is hard to realize if there are people who have TRANSCENDED five senses in some way or other.Read their #Mahasamadhi Stories. #Vivekananda’s & especially #RamanaMaharishi leaving human body is well documented. Even Jesus reserruction. So if you have no death i.e leave your body @ will, Time ceases to exist for you. In short you are not bound by limitations that ordinary people face. Hope you got the point. It's not escaping from life. You can reach such a position only if know the nature of life completely. Else you might die at will but only to be reborn as you tried to escape life. In fact, you won't be able to rise beyond life, death and rebirth and cycle keeps repeating. But this is what these people did, TRANSCENDED being human. Why can’t a human quit his body consciously, tell me. Let’s not goto Yoga or Jaggi or which method works. This is not Believing. This is Science.Prove this wrong??? E=MC2. So anything in universe can be converted to anything right. So humans are also form of Energy in Universe. What i meant by “lets not goto” means first hope you agree E=MC2. Meaning anything in universe can be converted to anything. So you can convert anything to anything. Life to death, death to life etc. Ask any scientist. If you agree E=MC2 then we can GOTO to debate can person quit his body, Jesus, God yoga, isha, jaggi etc. Who is fake?Fact: Humans are beyond physical world. Not just survive and die or just enjoy life. Only as a human you can know the highest possibilities of life. It doesnt matter what the final destination is, if its Hell, Heaven, Meditation, God or something new in future. Don't worry you will miss out heaven or goto hell. No, 96% universe is NON-MATERIAL or nothing. 4% is physical like stars, galaxy, planets etc. In this humans race born from first man till date are just not even 0.1% of the cosmos. So don't worry. Point is Universe is itself a living cosmos and too big to just end with earth, heaven and hell. Don't you still get it. Universe is simply too big. If Sun, moon moves even a centimeter whole life on earth will perish. Everything is connected. Sun, grass, blackholes, animals, rocks, oceans etc. It is just that we stupid humans feel are superior. All are equal in universe be it a drop of water to the mighty stars. Living or Non Living.Just destroy the ozone layer and the whole game will change. Lot of other species will rule earth. E=MC2. Everything in Universe is one and same. There is no special status to humans. So now you see where heaven stands.Ramana Maharishi Mahasamadhi - deathOn April 14, 1950 it was apparent that his physical end was near. In the evening, as the devotees sat on the verandah outside the room which had been specially built for Bhagavan’s convenience during his illness, they spontaneously began singing “Arunachala Siva” (The Marital Garland of Letters). On hearing it Ramana’s eyes opened and shone. He gave a brief smile of indescribable tenderness. From the outer corners of his eyes tears of bliss rolled down. One more deep breath and no more.At that very moment 8:47 p.m. what appeared to be an enormous star trailed slowly across the sky passing to the north-east towards the peak of Arunachala. Many saw this luminous body in the sky, even as far away as Bombay and struck by its peculiar appearance and behaviour, they ascribed this phenomenon to the passing of their Master.Vivekananda Mahasamadhi - deathOne day when Narendra was on the ground floor, meditating, the Master was lying awake in his bed upstairs. In the depths of his meditation Narendra felt as though a lamp were burning at the back of his head. Suddenly he lost consciousness. It was the yearned-for, all-effacing experience of nirvikalpa samadhi, when the embodied soul realizes its unity with the Absolute. After a very long time he regained partial consciousness but was unable to find his body. He could see only his head. “Where is my body?” he cried. The elder Gopal entered the room and said, “Why, it is here, Naren!” But Narendra could not find it. Gopal, frightened, ran upstairs to the Master. Sri Ramakrishna only said: “Let him stay that way for a time. He has worried me long enough.” So he had already know knew to leave the body. But unfortunately today people have spread news that he died becoz he was celibate and sperm became poison in his body. Bull..Google about sperm, it is the finest, final byproduct of the food we eat. First food we eat becomes, blood, muscle, nourishes organs, hair, bone marrow, and like this only purest food is processed to become sperm. As it contains DNA for next generation. Google properly. So sperm not ejaculated nourishes the body even more. Still don't believe. See Sivanada's book on Practice of Brahmacharya. Yes I know modern science will say crap. I am saying just google. Find the truth. On 4 July 1902 (the day of his death) Vivekananda awoke early, went to the monastery at Belur Math and meditated for three hours. He taught Shukla-Yajur-Veda, Sanskrit grammar and the philosophy of yoga to pupils, later discussing with colleagues a planned Vedic college in the Ramakrishna Math. At 7:00 p.m. Vivekananda went to his room, asking not to be disturbed; he died at 9:20 p.m. while meditating. According to his disciples, Vivekananda attained mahasamādhi; the rupture of a blood vessel in his brain was reported as a possible cause of death. His disciples believed that the rupture was due to his brahmarandhra (an opening in the crown of his head) being pierced when he attained mahasamādhi. Vivekananda fulfilled his prophecy that he would not live forty years. He was cremated on a sandalwood funeral pyre on the bank of the Ganga in Belur, opposite where Ramakrishna was cremated sixteen years earlier.NERUR SADASIV BRAHMENDRA SWAMI BIOGRAPHY MIRACLES AND SAMADHIHe is said to have performed many miracles whilst alive, some of the most prominent are provided below.1) On the river banks of Cauvery in Mahadhanapuram, he was asked by some children to be taken to Madurai, more than 100 miles away, for an annual festival. The saint asked them to close their eyes, and a few seconds later they reopened their eyes and found they were in Madurai.2) While relaxing near a heap of grains, he began meditating. The farmer who owned the land mistook Sadasiva for a thief, and confronted him. The farmer raised his stick to hit the saint, but became a statue. He remained in this state until the morning, when Sadasiva finished meditating and smiled at the farmer. The farmer was restored to his normal state, and asked the saint for forgiveness.3) At another time, while meditating on the banks of the Cauvery river, he was carried away by a sudden flood. Weeks later, when some villagers were digging near a mound of earth, their shovels struck his body. He woke up and walked away.4)Long after all these happened when almost people had forgotten the memories of his wandering in their lands, once the naked sannyasi was seen walking right through a Muslim harem of a Nawab. As a brahma-jnani who sees nothing but brahman everywhere, he would not distinguish between the different human figures which cross his path nor would he be distracted by the sights or noises that his environment may present to him. It was in this state of trance that he was walking along. He, the naked sannyasi, walked straight into the harem, entering it at one end and walking out at the other all the while walking through a maze of inmates of the Nawab’s harem. The news reached the nawab, he had his men chase him, they cut off both his hands as he was walking along, the hands fell off and still he was walking along silently as if nothing had happened. The Nawab got scared, picked up the hands that had been severed, ran to the Sage and offered them in total remorse. The sage stopped his walking, the severed hands were restored to their place, the hands became normal and the sage walked away! There was no conversation.5) In 1732, While SadaShiva Brahmendra was roaming near Pudukottai forests some soldiers saw him & mistakenly asked him to carry some sticks on his head. SadaShiva Brahmendra carried happily & when he kept that sticks in kitchen ground, it burnt. Then those soldiers understood that he was an great Saint.6) There was a uneducated & born dumb man who was a devotee of SadaShiva Brahmendra. He served the Guru immensely. One day, SadaShiva Brahmendra kept their hand on his head & prayed to Lord to give him speech and knowledge. By the grace of SadaShiva Brahmendra that dumb man became educated & he started to talk. He started giving speeches & he was famous as “Akasha Purana Ramalinga Shastry”. Up to this 20th century, Ramalinga Shastry’s relatives were staying in Nerur. This incident is also mentioned in the Sri SadaShivendra Sthava7) His most recent miracle(2004) is about the temple of Ageeswarar near Tiruvallur. You can read more about it in the belowShree Agneeswarar Temple at Neyveli (near Thiruvallur)MahasamadhiLater he left Tiruvisanallur and reached Nerur, the surroundings of which were conducive and ideal for stay and penance with the river flowing southwards. A place where river flows southwards, is considered equal to Kashi ( Banaras).Sri Sadasiva Brahmendra attained Maha Samaadhi on the Vaisakha Sukla Dasami with Makha star in the year 1755 A.D. Before his Samadhi,he mentioned that a Bilva tree would come over his Samadhi. He also mentioned that after 10 days, someone would bring a Shiva Linga and it has to be installed at a particular distance from his samadhi. Needless to say, it happened the same way.He is said to have attained samadhi at 3 places:Nerur(TamilNadu)Manamadurai about 60 km from Madurai.Karachi, now in pakistan.Paramahansa Yogananda Mahasamadhi - DeathIn the days leading up to his death, Yogananda began hinting that it was time for him to leave the world. On 7 March 1952, he attended a dinner for the visiting Indian Ambassador to the US, Binay Ranjan Sen, and his wife at the Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles. At the conclusion of the banquet, Yogananda spoke of India and America, their contributions to world peace and human progress, and their future cooperation, expressing his hope for a “United World” that would combine the best qualities of “efficient America” and “spiritual India.” According to an eyewitness – Daya Mata, a direct disciple of Yogananda, who was head of the Self-Realization Fellowship from 1955–2010— as Yogananda ended his speech, he read from his poem My India, concluding with the words “Where Ganges, woods, Himalayan caves, and men dream God—I am hallowed; my body touched that sod.” “As he uttered these words, he lifted his eyes to the Kutastha center (the Ajna Chakra), and his body slumped to the floor.” Followers say that he entered mahasamadhi. The official cause of death was heart failure. His funeral service, with hundreds attending, was held at the SRF headquarters atop Mt. Washington in Los Angeles. Rajarsi Janakananda, the new president of the Self-Realization Fellowship, “performed a sacred ritual releasing the body to God.” Yogananda’s remains are interred at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in the Great Mausoleum (normally closed off to visitors but Yogananda’s tomb is accessible) in Glendale, California.Ramakrishna Mahasamadhi - deathSri Ramakrishna was sinking day by day. His diet was reduced to a minimum and he found it almost impossible to swallow. He whispered to M.: “I am bearing all this cheerfully, for otherwise you would be weeping. If you all say that it is better that the body should go rather than suffer this torture, I am willing.” The next morning he said to his depressed disciples seated near the bed: “Do you know what I see? I see that God alone has become everything. Men and animals are only frameworks covered with skin, and it is He who is moving through their heads and limbs. I see that it is God Himself who has become the block, the executioner, and the victim for the sacrifice.’ He fainted with emotion. Regaining partial consciousness, he said: “Now I have no pain.He had cancer but no pain.MAHASAMADHISunday, August 15, 1886. The Master’s pulse became irregular. The devotees stood by the bedside. Toward dusk Sri Ramakrishna had difficulty in breathing. A short time afterwards he complained of hunger. A little liquid food was put into his mouth; some of it he swallowed, and the rest ran over his chin. Two attendants began to fan him. All at once he went into samadhi of a rather unusual type. The body became stiff. Sashi burst into tears. But after midnight the Master revived. He was now very hungry and helped himself to a bowl of porridge. He said he was strong again. He sat up against five or six pillows, which were supported by the body of Sashi, who was fanning him. Narendra took his feet on his lap and began to rub them. Again and again the Master repeated to him, “Take care of these boys.” Then he asked to lie down. Three times in ringing tone’s he cried the name of Kali, his life’s Beloved, and lay back. At two minutes past one there was a low sound in his throat and he fell a little to one side. A thrill passed over his body. His hair stood on end. His eyes became fixed on the tip of his nose. His face was lighted with a smile. The final ecstasy began. It was mahasamadhi, total absorption, from which his mind never returned. Narendra, unable to bear it, ran downstairs.Nirmalanda Mahasamadhi - death 1996He decided to shed his body in the month of January in ’96, and announced that he would attain Mahasamadhi. But there was a big ruckus all around. The rationalist society of Karnataka filed a case against him saying that this man is going to commit suicide, so they put two constables in the ashram. When Sadhguru went there, he hugged him and cried, “I have not even plucked a flower from a tree. Even for my pooja I don’t pluck a flower, and they have put police in my ashram.” Just the insult of that hurt him so much. Not once did he even pluck a fruit. He didn’t want to hurt the trees. Only if they fell down he ate them. Otherwise he wouldn’t touch them. Sadhguru told him, “Don’t worry. What are the police going to do to you?” When the time to leave came for him, he sat outside on a small deck. About forty people were sitting in his ashram including the two constables. He sat in front of them and just left his body.Exact Details may be exaggerated but its not impossible. FACT, these people left their body@ will. Get the essence ignore the meaning what you get.In fact Snakes know when they Die.So like this even humans can consciously leave their BODY at will. What does this Prove? It's up to you.See about Sadhguru's previous life births. He has taken 3 life times of Sadhana just to be where he is today. Read about his previous births.Lifetimes Three - BilvaBilva - A Devotee of ShivaSadhguru: Nearly four hundred years ago, there was a man in a small village in the present state of Madhya Pradesh. His name was Bilva. He lived a totally different kind of life. He was too wild and intense. He didn’t really fit into the norms of society. There’s a certain tradition in India, where people just walk through the streets, usually very early in the morning, when it’s still pitch dark. They wake you up with their drumbeats. Intuitively, if they see something, they will tell you; otherwise, they will sing songs in praise of the Lord and walk away. This is a certain tradition within the Shaiva culture, where this particular tribe of people is also involved in snake charming.death by a snake’s bite...Bilva was the snake charmer of his tribe and he was deeply in love with what he was doing. These were people who lived totally, loving life for what it is. They weren’t the kind to accumulate anything. They had no sense of money, property or possessions. They simply lived, and Shiva was very important in their lives. Bilva loved snakes. If you love poisonous creatures, you have to be a different kind of person. To kiss a snake, you must be very courageous. For a person for whom love means everything, everything else is secondary; being alive itself is secondary. That’s the kind of person he was. He was someone who could not fit into the social structure and was looked upon as a rebel. For one of the many rebellious acts he did, not respecting the prevalent caste distinction, at a very young age he was put to death by a snake’s bite, while he was tied to a tree.He was a great devotee of Shiva. Our mantra, “Shambho,” comes from that era. At that time, you couldn’t really call him a spiritual person; he was a devotee, but not really a spiritual person. Those last few moments of his life, he watched his breath. Cobra’s venom acts on the cardiovascular system. The blood thickens and makes cardiac and respiratory action difficult and ultimately it stops. Poison was all through his body and death a few minutes away. There was nothing else he could do and breath watching just happened. It was more of an accident than a conscious awareness. It was more Grace than a sadhana. From that breath-watching, which happened for just a few minutes, a new spiritual process began which changed that person’s future in so many ways. In his next life, he was a very intense seeker of the Ultimate nature. Shiva was his way.ShivayogiSadhguru: For one to flower spiritually, the lap of grace is most important. If you have to grow without grace, you have to be literally inhuman to yourself. People who chose very hard ways of doing things, they have chosen that way because they are orphaned seekers – they are trying to grow without the lap of grace.I know the pain of this better than anyone. After two lifetimes of very intense, truly heartbreaking sadhana, the body anyway breaks. For some people, their hearts break before their bodies break. But there are some others who will not let their hearts break because they have made themselves like stones. So body breaks first, but slowly, the heart also begins to break. These two lifetimes, I was referred to by people as Shivayogi. I explored various possibilities and dimensions, went to any number of places, did absolutely intense sadhana, experienced various states of samadhi, and acquired various capabilities. But still, the real thing had not happened. So, I explored various occult sciences just to track down somebody who could push me across the final step. Because of a certain understanding and mastery over the system, knowing the process of creation within me on many levels, I decided to leave my body and do the search without the body.It was at such a point that my Guru entered my life. He touched me with his stick. And everything that needs to be realized was realized. I was at the very peak of anything can be.My MasterWhat can the poor Guru do? All I have done is do and do After seeing all that is there to see He comes to teach me how to Be. – SadhguruMy physical proximity with my Guru was just for a few minutes. And it was in these few moments that this fabulous, crafty man enslaved me for his project. Somehow he identified Shivayogi as a person suitable for establishing the Dhyanalinga, and entrusted this work to him – not in speech or in words, but he communicated the immense technology needed to consecrate the Dhyanalinga. If not for that project which he wanted to be fulfilled through me, my physical presence here would be out of question. Shivayogi attempted to establish the Dhyanalinga, but wasn’t able to fulfill his Guru’s vision because of limited resources and lack of support. To continue this work, he came back as Sadhguru Sri Brahma.Sadhguru Shri BrahmaSadhguru Sri Brahma TrailerSadhguru All 3 lifetimes storySadhguru previous birth, as Sadhguru Sri Brahma Movie Sneak PeekSadhguru: Sadhguru Sri Brahma was not a nice guy. He never called anyone by name – he only said, “Eh!” “Eh” was the one name for everyone. People were terrified of him, just because of the way he was. But at the same time, they loved him immensely. That is the beauty of contradictions.Sadhguru Sri Brahma was like fire – simply on.They did not love him because he was nice to them. They loved him because they could not help it. Thousands were drawn to him. He set up 70 institutions in Tamil Nadu, within a short span of time. He mostly travelled around and spent very little time in one place. But wherever he went, people gave lands and things to him so he could set up institutions. They did this because they could not help loving him, not because he was nice to them. The energy at the Seventh Hill is very different because Sadhguru Sri Brahma left his body there. His whole focus in life had been to consecrate the Dhyanalinga. But in spite of all his inner capabilities, lack of social skills destroyed the project. The society turned against him and made sure he could not do it. When this happened, he wanted to check why this project failed, if something was wrong with his energy system. So, to do this, he left the body through all the seven chakras. This applies to everyone – if something in your life does not work, the first thing is to check yourself, if there is something wrong with you. The problem with most human beings is, if something does not work, the first thing they do is blame someone else. You should first look at yourself. Pay absolute attention to every aspect of your life and see why this has not happened in a successful manner. Something may not be okay with you. Only after checking this and being sure that everything is okay with you, you see if there is some other factor that is messing it up.Sadhguru Sri Brahma was immensely empowered and lived almost miraculously. You may have heard of some of the things that he did, like walking through a locked prison door or making a boy walk on a lake. Things like that happened around him on a daily basis. People saw him as godlike, but they were terrified of him, because he seemed to be always angry. He was not angry with anyone – he was simply ferociously intense. Sadhguru Sri Brahma was like fire – simply on.When people gathered around him just before he went up the Seventh Hill for the last time, he said, “This one will come back again.” One who leaves his body through all the seven chakras referred to as Chakreshwara. That means he has complete mastery over his energy system. Even today, about seventy years later, the energy there is alive and on like it happened yesterday. The energy is so crazily intense that it just blows you away. This Velliangiri Mountain is one of the rarest places on the planet – you will not experience that kind of energy anywhere else. This time around, our social competence has improved. I consciously civilized myself to the extent that is necessary to function in society. Today, we have social skills, which we lacked then. Because of the intensity of energy that he carried, other things did not seem important to him. He thought that what people in society think does not matter. But do not underestimate the power of ignorance. There is power to knowledge, but there is tremendous power to ignorance. Many things in the world do not move forward because of people’s ignorance. No matter how hard you try, ignorance is like an anchor – it will not let even the biggest ship move. This time around, I took care of the ignorant from the beginning, treating ignorance with respect. He treated ignorance with disdain. If someone said something stupid, he just kicked them. He did not understand the democratic process. The majority is always ignorant, and they have the power. He ignored that, because he thought with this intensity of energy, everything will happen. And when it did not work, he tried to check out if his energy was not good enough. So he left his body through all the seven chakras, which is a very rare phenomenon. This Velliangiri Mountain is one of the rarest places on the planet – you will not experience that kind of energy anywhere else.Goto the village of Sadhguru Sribrahma. Find the truth. It's easy to sit at computer and give criticisms about things. So just to find if it's true, sometimes you have to do the work. Not only Sadhguru, google about rebirth. For few days if you research, don't assume and search. Just find what is the truth. You will come to know that you can't 100% DENY REBIRTH PROOF.Still not convinced meet any authentic, reputed, genuine VEDIC ASTROLOGER. He will make predictions about you that Will blow your mind. Yes, meet 5–10 of them. You will know though some are fake, wrong predictions some will give but you will also get 100% predictions. This is just prove to you that all universe is energy. What you are seeing is the physical dimension of universe. Say you can't deny entire UNIVERSE has Atoms, including blackholes, comets, animals, water, plastic, and you. And if you access that dimension, you will be 100% happy irrespective of the worse that happens to you.Still don't believe. Meet any Reiki Guru, proper authentic yoga guru, (not fitness yoga guru), Kundalini guru, or other genuine Spiritual or mystics like Sadhguru. They will make you reverberate from the spine.Forget Spiritual gurus, goto any temple like Tirupati, Abhayahastha Venkateshwara temple, Ujjain Mahakal. I just know temples. There are Islamic Prophet Dargahs, and Christian Saints and Mother's places as well. Try to go immediately after bath, especially cold shower. And see if you feel the reverbation, the energy around that place. Now you might feel it or may be Not. So how do I prove you. Trust me out of 100 atleast 10 people will feel. Take with you 100 people who do not believe all this stuff. Trust me. You will know what I mean. Nothing in the world is 100%. It' like will flight take off Everytime, no. But we can know the reason. Same with people who do not feel the energies. It's just that you are not willing to find the reason why YOU CANT FEEL THE ENERGIES. I know many ordinary people in my society who can feel these ENERGIES. We live in city, go through daily life, enjoy the comforts as well yet we also know that there are things beyond all this.Remember you need to have a certain RECEPTIVITY to realize these ENERGIES.Now don't think it's religious. Ancient Indians had 33 million Deities or Idols or Tantras (machines or Tools) when the population was around 33 million. Each ancient Indian knew that if we energize a non living object like is stone which is stable, does not need food, water, medicine or falls sick, we can use that energies from the idol or deity to be happy and live life to fullest.See today humans are most dominant and comfortable species on earth because of our ability to use Tools. So ancient Indians knew we could use ENERGY TOOLS or MACHINES for our well being. Remember as i said E=MC2. Anything in Universe can be converted to anything. That means for health create one Deity-Yantra- temple. And off course for those who didn't want anything, temples were places to just go sit for Spiritual purposes or ultimate realization, again create one deity-temple-Yantra etc.It only after invasions people felt embarrassed, later some people started to make it as rituals. Otherwise ancient(I mean really ancient like during indus valley civilization times) every indian created a energy form to live his life happily even if WORSE happened to him or around him.Tell me what do you want. You want everything in life and be sad/ say atleast discontent or be “100%. Happy” 24/7, 365 days inspite of all the WORSE problems of life.Still not convinced show me any Veda or Hindu scripts where religion or God word is mentioned. It's only mentioned as Hindu Dharma and Bhagwan - meaning blessed being. Dharma does not mean religion. Google properly to see meaning dharma. Hindu means land between Hi-Himalayas and Indu- Hindu Maha Sagara or Indian Ocean. It's like saying African, Asian. It's a geographical identity. As I said it became religious over centuries. So point is Sadhguru like other Spiritual gurus is saying in the way he has experienced if you can access that dimension beyond the 5 senses, which is your true nature. It's like can you show life soul or life inside you…No but it exists, you will have no more suffering. Only Bliss.Need I say Sadhguru can leave his body at will. If everything goes well, he will show that to the world. But I already shared with you many who done this already. Also see Swami Rama lingam. Even British have documented his mahasamadhi. He made is body into light and disappeared. Google it.Still don't believe goto Isha, visit Dhyanalinga or Linga Bhairavi temple. Or Meet people there and ask them if all these are true. Try to find if what I am saying is true. Don't assume already this is mumbo jumbo.Yes, I also know about Sadhguru married a person who was already someone's wife, his rumoured relationship with Bharti Akka, him being lavish, his daughter being lavish and leading non-spiritual life, accusations of mind wash to kids by their parents, land grab, forest exploitation, high fees, premium kinda Spirituality, police complaint on him by his father in law, his wife Vijji, mahasamadhi, quick funeral, elephant corridor land grab, business ventures of Isha, their costly products etc.I have made the effort to find what is the matter, no assuming. Then I have come to conclusion. So you find the truth in such a way that if someone asks you to prove you should be able to prove. For instance I can prove that these accusations are not proven and false.Btw I m as educated as they come, have a good family and I am very much into today's modern world and entertainment. So it's not that I am brainwashed etc. I just was curious to find what is this all about. It's not only consecrating or energizing idols, yoga, mantra chanting (sound is the last barrier of physical dimension, so chanting mantra in a proper manner with RIGHT MINDSET creates a positive energy), wearing gemstones/precious metals (these are purest of matter found on earth. Hope you know Gold, Silver is good for health in minute quantities, similarly wearing them creates positive energy over a period of time) etc.Still don't believe, there is a homa/Havana to produce rain. Yes in Bangalore there is a festival called Kargha, and trust me it always rains atleast surely drizzles and surely weather becomes overcast in the peak of summer for few days. Just google it. There is science behind it. See or Google how homa, havan works. You will know. Like these there are many homas. Only thing is we don't find reason when it doesn't work. We think it's waste. As I said google how homa works, you will know and then try for few times at your place. But it should be done properly and right intention.
