Can you share some before and after photos of yourself?

This will be a long journey but ill try to keep the words and even pictures at minimal and hope i m still able to cover most in between the before and after. The above pic is in late 2013 when i was around 23 yrs old.(i will start from here right now , i may or may not add my prev fut pics and parts upon interest from my school and high school period) It is at gwalior fort at a setting evening background. Before *THE SWITCH*Today , may 23 , 20. i m here in indore and awaiting quarantine isolation to end and also recovering with diff pains.*** This pic has reference later****Above pics is few days back and its a random selfie from between the managing daily chores trapped alone in a flat here with nearby proximity to covid homes etc and little daily support. May , 2020 ( Age 29).to see me in pics during the turning points of my life go down ways (2014 to date ,2020)i have always lived in gwalior , india but this is me at a visit to indore for 2–4 days in dec 2013. ( age 23)never did i think ill b here again at some point in life.march 2014 i met an unkown accident as i was standing by the side of a diversion of road and stopped for water etc. I was with a frn and i was headed towards meeting my thn girlfrn. (and also then immediately for some football tourney related meetups n scouting with some young players in the nearby city ,as i was working on my freestyle football and creative project by the side of dads shop way before it , and the internet was so accessible like today, was the complete plan.)That ws my last memory.i woke up in hospital back in gwalior with a broken jaw broken right leg and broken right arm.before here i was previously resuming towards playing soccer and working with my dad in his shop. All so active lifestyle, not an hour spent in home well until late evening.my right hand and right leg were fixed with rods and nails, i later found out.i also had head injuries so was for few months not as well in sync with reality. And was also in lots of medication and pain.my then girlfriend , in long distance, stopped any active communication in few weeks and started ghosting me. And later broke up wierdly.hell broke out.life switched.by December 2014(v v long time if you count the hours spent bedridden since march) my fracture in tibia wasnt healing much and i had to walk etc with it any ways with supp of the rod in leg. My father was alone managing his shop and my mother was herself dealing with psychatric conditions.i had no hope for any immediate relief during this phase.above pic is in mumbai, i guess 2015 mid..and this in pune down below just around the same time shortly after.Life was contrasting and so overwhelming at the same times. One , as u see it and as others see you , the other that only you feel. And something on the top of it (now this is the bonus but biggest part) that you have to feel constantly at all the times such as the constant spooky hitting pain of the rod and screws in ur leg. Unoticably ignorable as per community standards ,and lacking options of govrnmnt backed recovery support system for complex medical problems in a young developing country ladden by beliefs and with big population such as india . But… i was getting there, day by day, not easily for sure, and how,i tried to visit shop with stick at one point later again and try for some pending modifications , upgrades and other ways fr work which was not to my dads understanding and all would be discarded again and again.my mother's schizophrenic and depression triggered and worsed as well and now i was even battling to keep good meals as she was the only support till she was fine for this…i was in severe depression at this point and maybe waiting to stand up so as to cut the pain some way..2014 decmbr i went to Gujarat , my native place with my grandmother for some change. And it helped me get some change of air.i strted being positive and was somewhat moving on my ex nd past. I ate better and tried to hope ill recover some day.seeing one or two new people and friends, and being comforted really helped mei could walk with a stick by now.i appeared to be better looking n fit thn before however from inside i was in pain due to rod etc n broken. This is the first time i went to the ground after my accident in 2015 (early)2015 march, rod from my right arm elbow was removed.i later even tripped other cities with rod in leg and met old random frns i hadnt spoke ever in years .i also started studying towards going abroadabove pic is in Delhi.and again mumbai during that 2015gwalior fort.and thats my bike in the side unscratched, that was during the accident with me .i started trying to play footbal(freestyle and control sessions)whenever posble by myself ,with the rod still.i looked better after 1 year but the pain and issue with rod and mental traumas were still dere.me , 25 then in 2015 at another trip nearby gwalior .i even joined college again . This is a pic of a random performce which was suddenly done in short notice for teachers day.i was better thn before it seemed. Something tht looked impossible (but i was still a lot in pain and still too cut off and broke)however i never took life as easy and tried wherever i could for some memoriesabove pics are in 2016 beginning.i met a new person and i felt some small connection after long time . However i was a still not done of the 2014 things and couldnt connect as easy.i was otherwise better and doing more better at things.however at 25 i was in a diffrnt phase now totally i was still not fit to think to pursue the abroad dream. i also had issues at home with my mother n father due to differences in understandings about life and manipulations. My fracture was not healing due to malunion.it was toughsep 2016 i looked btr. thn i hopedbefore this the rod in my leg was removed in mid 2016 and i felt bit free.took another 2– 3 months to be back walking after it againat 26 i was losing hope of going abroad or to step out with ease or js anything , i started learning finance and investing by the side and started my venture for the same in busy market area where my house is at , in small town gwalior.by this time i was doing crunches and. cardio nicely and ignoring any pains to be stronger.howver due to office sitting and other added jerks(one major was my bike getting stuck by a rock and its weight shifting towards my weak leg until it fell down stretching my leg n back all the way) that occured due to mutliple instances that year i had bck pain started by thn.not too long later it was understood tht it was something severe and wouldnt settle down. By nov 2016 the pain level went up crazy as the cold weather went up in gwalior.the doctors were only saying it was some muscular pain and to rely on painkillers only but it was not.i was again feeling disconnected and in same state. And even the new person left me again.jan 2017i was again all trapped and all alone. This was a forever and never ending isolation phase.the back and leg pain issue was later understood to be sciatica and slip disc. Above image is around feb 17 when i was in traction (Weights are hanged to decompress the spine).Like all , it didnt work much.and i would try everything over the next few months ayurveda and therapy and all and get even worse again wherein i couldnt walk or sit with ease the same.this was even more horrible thn that rod in leg i had earlier. And times many as bad the feelings..the entire year i stayed bedridden.this is mid 2017.by septmbr i had to bet my odds and undergo a risky spinal surgery.just a lil back i was so close to recovery from that earlier thing and now this. life was testing.me in 2017 sept at 27 shortly after the micro discectomy surgery.after the surgery in 2017 end i got a job for myself in baroda, gujarat next year in a broking firm.above pic in march 2018i was little back at it.howver due to pain and other issues i wouldnt continue the job for long.for another one year i would struggle with other stuff and be in gwalior. this pic was next year 2019 may in gurgaon.me now.i came to indore last year in 2019 nov.before i could settle in ..boom.the world is in quarantine and so i m in it again.but hey , this is not my first time is it?and i m trapped alone in a flat in severe corona hit city in the state****enter the second reference pic i posted above here******and i cn laugh it off to myself..tho being alone all over right now sucks…and i still wait to move on the pain and see back at life better.…and somedayz i just wonder…is this too much or is this normal?update::prev pic was around i dnt remember , some 2 months back or what.. being alone n by self n thn tested by stuff again here in corona situation ….with no immediate resolve…i decided to keep up and not choose the escape route .Meanwhile my health has gone all time low due to poor diet as i m cooking by self and back pain is at 7 on 10 after a long time(anything more thn this means it will affect my v basic movements )Also i moved to indore again last year after trying all in regards to options n sorting out the stuff in my native town but it ws js not working with my family or in the family business without any growth option. I did not want to jus settle in with belief based option so i decided to relocate here n try for own investment and portfolio management venture with a head start by a job. Also i am studying(not actually able to proprly since months) my masters in finance by the side of it from a uni in mumbai with xam centers here in indore.it was tougher thn ever finding a sorted place in a new geography with sudden people change which was unpresented and unpredicted. So i did get another job in feb here whch i didnt like due to no proper structure or timing etc whch was not good for my health recovery n all..and immediately later i was in btw the final negotiation with a bank for a job with about the same basic pay but more stability and security…after clearing 3 rounds…that the janta curfew happened and thn the lockdown!!few days ago June , 2020now next hve to swich my area and flat soon and going home is not yet an option…..lets see how ill come back next ;|stay tuned at my insta : @ 9mt9 for other pics etc-Also if any creative person want to collab for any creative video or something online and is reading this while in lockdown …pls reach me out and lets make a vlog or something. (i have officially changed a simple photos thread to my update feeds) lol.seriously i miss football n being out n hate being in pain again now…idk if this is ‘edge of tommorow ‘ kinda thing going on here :|| (im more distubed now due to some major stress and also both career and relationship choice failures during the lockdown thn what i was whn i last started writing this post in may, but ill comeback with more again….)update : june 29,20 lost some weight , (relationships or works back in my town dont sound comforting to immediately jump there for uncertain time, until covid , theyre howvr in talks , dont wanna be stuck in the old lockdown state. if i gotta b lockdown, ,gotta struggle n work to b away from.the same old tried n tested lockdowns is the plan here, not psynical but calculative too here, getting calls for odd jobs at crap pays , all negatives , finding another place for luggage is the frst task.*remember, i m.not mentioning all issues you could possibly have here in a new place etc, combined with escalated prev stuff already ,before you judge my current situation ..i m choosing to battle everyday here or at times whn i wnt to look back the wys didnt work)m weaker and amidst searching n shifting all alone.(owners n everyother person is shitty in this area or town n wouldnt bother infact taking advantage tht m alone here), current flat is old n has water logs everywhere by now in monsoon. With corona everywhere n my health down again.“”” …being positive is the last thing ud want “”moved back to town in a disstress and unplanned state..were the toughest of all days thanks ot my father**spoilers : shit is gettin real here** https://l.instagram.com/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fselfventure.blogspot.in%2F2017%2F10%2Fvisualize.html%3Fm%3D1&e=ATOT_HZia2MtuE5b9S9xcxUntZ-tpOKm5fUX3hVgsK2YO8hH1HikAliY7Q9_HxtkEC137uYK2bxz55lEnlRzSc2KD-dT6kAqyT27&s=1ill be updating more stuff that i hve learnt and expin my blog (not professionally done) above.more update, 23 aug now Turnedi ws picked up by my father suddenly out of the way, in 1 day whilst i ws down n helpless. i didnt expect him joining the broker/owner to pack my luggage n vacate the flat without my approval. there was still time n major woorks.like itr filing etc. it was anything but normal. i faced unbelievable situations n danger on the way back n now realize its since my father indirectly n his certain frn n trappy somethin behind . sos times.that m getting into dis again n again. i learnt this only now 23 aug . also its wierd and confusing during such times. i have already lost all network n connect n m in financial distrss/health risk/traumas combined. wherein i wish to work on fixing these things up.i also had some higher experiences. n even the apartment back in indore was all but a stressy mess.no one will blv me presently, but i m also worried of my mother. its too much. i didnt know where else to write.update : 22 Septemberi got severe depression and bits of schizophrenia due to triggered back pain n trauma n fear in times when i didnt sleep for 15-20 days straight or wasnt able to do cook or do laundary in the flat. There were suspicious all in the nearby flats and the area . Even my wifi and some passes /internet didnt worked . All this causes me to fear more and revisit more traumas n worry as a chain reaction of thoughts. Apart this corona like symptoms and being stuck alone made everything worse. In the end few weeks i had to also complete itr of my startup for whch i asked my father after long on call for some supp. But over the weeks it made things worse btw us.After coming back home at gwalior i.had more fights thn ever with my dad. And was even made to wrongly visit the police station for the same. All so. cause i was struggling for my rights and working up some prev legal doc stuff since my granfathers demise and unlooked earlier due to my bed riddedn and younger state. I was majorly decepted. All this and CORONA outside , and back stiffnes from a disc being removed /prev traumas ,this is a never like anything situation. But ive been worse, tho i am all cut off with my friends or of any network in the past 2-3 years as its a lot of bother , which makes this current time more lone and tough , but in my mind m not able to keep away or channelize well and live freely. Or step up as quickly towards anbut hope ill be there……..lets see..-also id wish to transfer this post to a blog somewhere but m.all to clueless and messed up right now.Sans the sudden chaos. if you did read uptil here.-update 11 dec 20ill not add anymore of the of the messes ive been facing, and just summarize with words ,‘2020s been a really one hell of a crazy hell bent year again for me…and no clue what up ahead n where m headed from here…’#depressing right now , if any thing better comes up ahead ill surely add.—minor recent updates and new pics jan 2021moved to a new flat here in gwalior for the time being until corona eases up. Also doctors have called me out as a candidate for another big spinal surgery from the recent MRIs but its a riskier one with no guarantee so avoiding for now. Lets see what time has in faith as i am short for any more thought on dis…Wednesday , April 28 , 2021The world and more so this country and my state is still affected badly by covid , my current town gwalior (hometown as well but living in a rented place away from home) is again in lockdown and this time covid is at its worse which i was already estimating and fearing for at some point as per my basic analysis of the various datas already last year. Thankfully i am in a btr flat this time but this doesnt mean im less alone or less in pain or life has stopped throwing wierd.By now if you have made it.up reading uptil here, you might be a little blank, exhausted or have got some anxiety by just reading all this , whilst this is the smallest possible extracts of the situations tht life is throwing at being here at this end , so you could imagine my mental state hahaAlso i never re read this story or did corrections etc etc so pls omit any bad grammar typos etc and maybe connect with all in a natural way . thanks.lastly , about one year earlier the younger and more trapped version of me who was really stuck with this paranormal situation was too occupied to process all of the past , so i would like to correct certain grammar and facts where i m saying ‘my ex left me or implying they did me wrong ‘ as i really dont know at this point but in a way they left this ,’ different’ ‘disturbed ‘ , with anxiety of being normal and fighting again and again to make it to the normal pain free and supprting /understanding kind of people life situations and in a long distance stuck kind of person, my exes being certainly less mature , with i suppose typical indian social standard pressures from their families and have being never dealt with such situatuons in life i would say it would be unfair to just say this quiet simply, but things changed as per situations which really was bad for me to take maybe… and not the person they actully met before my such accidents who they imagined life with..(1. rod situations , 2. back pain , spinal 3. post spinal surgery complications 4. Re mental and family complications amongst covid affected carewr and health ) , so i dont want to be drawimg implying and wanting any conclusions from all this and maybe its just as is…..and as was in fate and destined too…sooner or later.Continuing the trend of sharing my loneliness here on this post and thead, i wouls say i m disturbed today and in shock as i got the news that my grandmother passed away 2 days earlier evening suddenly and i hadnt even spoked to her well for months ..and waa unaware of her such critical situatuons. The last time i called her she couldnt pik up as maybe she was sick. She would really be wanting to se me married and meet my partner since the past 3–4 years with this as her one of her sole greatest wishes and same that of my granddad earlier. But i couldnt do.or make it in this department due to the various situations and traps ,and feel a bit in shock and trauma that i couldnt quiet make it to their wishes. Or nothing i can do about this ever now. To get those blessings ..but m no god or anything..so..I anyways made this clip today which makes me smile or feel good; also that i always love football;Login • Instagram

Is the Indian Army demoralised and are its soldiers seriously scared of Pakistan?

You must either be ignorant of the history of Indo-Pak Wars or a staunch Pakistani Nationalist to assert your judgement through this question. Irrespective of your position let me rationalise the facts for your consumption through the history, but first through the mouth of Pakistan’s trusted ally BBC and its own media and leadership in recent past. I will not quote Indian media or leadership at all. Hope you read through. With me…Surgical Strikes by India in PoK in September 2016 Reported by BBC“Despite the use of the term "surgical strikes", the Indians definitely did not airdrop commandos to hit "launching pads of militants" inside Pakistani-held territory, or conduct ground assaults deep into the Pakistan-administered side. But they did cross the Line of Control (LoC), in some cases by more than a kilometre, to hit nearby Pakistani border posts.Police officials on the Pakistani side privately concede that such a ground assault did occur in the Madarpur-Titrinot region of Poonch sector, west of Srinagar, where a Pakistani post was destroyed and one soldier killed. In Leepa valley to the north, locals said that the Indians crossed the LoC and set up their guns on ridges directly overlooking the village of Mundakali. A Pakistani border post located at some distance east of the village was hit. Two other posts higher up in the mountains were also hit. At least four Pakistani soldiers were injured in the attack, which lasted from 05:00am until 8:00am, locals said.A similar advance by the Indians in the Dudhnial area of Neelum valley further north was beaten back by the Pakistanis. At least one Pakistani soldier was injured - reports of a dead soldier could not be independently verified by the BBC.The Pakistani army described the exchanges as nothing more than cross-border firing, albeit in a more co-ordinated fashion and all along the LoC.Officials said two soldiers were killed in the attacks - one in Poonch, and one in Bhimber sector, further south. Defence minister Khwaja Asif later said a total of nine soldiers were injured in the assault.”Eyewitness: Ali Akbar, Mundakali village resident, Leepa Valley“I normally wake up at 4:30 am. As usual I did my chores - and just then I heard small arms fire, about 100 rounds. I waited a few minutes and then I heard four bombs [mortars] land near the village. We have been in a state of war for a long time, so I knew that heavy guns meant trouble and that the village might get hit. I was standing there when four more bombs came. Then four more, after a few minutes. The first shells had landed in the forest near the village [where a border post is located] and I saw flames and smoke rising. My wife called to me to get in. We have built a bunker in the basement with 24-inch thick walls. She said everybody was inside, and wanted me to get in too.By now they had started targeting another one of our posts higher up on the mountaintop in front. Then the next round of shells hit another post further back.Small arms fire also continued. This was surprising for me. They had apparently crossed over from the LoC and had set up their guns at the top of the cliff. I could heard the bullets whizzing overhead, through the treetops, snapping twigs and leaves that were falling to the ground. The firing continued until about 6am. After that, the heavy guns fell silent but small fire continued. We remained in our basement until 10 am. No one had had time to eat or drink that morning.Later, we heard that the Indians had crossed the LoC and hit our posts from positions overlooking the valley. I don't understand why they didn't try to reach our post where we have the local company headquarters. They could have done it. It's walkable, and is easier for them because they occupy higher ground. Perhaps our people detected their movement and fired at them which pushed them back. This is the first time since the war on the LoC began nearly 30 years ago that they have fired from this position.”Border post in Mundakali was said to have been hit by Indian fire.In many areas the attack came as a surprise.Accounts of villagers gathered in Leepa suggest that Indian soldiers first opened fire in the valley at around 0500, hitting the post near Mundakali village and blowing up a mosque adjacent to it. A soldier who was preparing for pre-dawn prayers was hit and injured, they said.Fire was also directed at two other posts higher up in the hills, one of which served as the forward headquarters in Leepa. Locals say bunkers at these posts were partly destroyed and their communication system was paralysed for some time. This meant that troops stationed down in the valley and at the brigade headquarters took a while to realise what was going on.The soldier who was injured at the Mundakali post was given first aid by villagers, and then transported to the military-run hospital in Leepa on a motorbike. Nearly two dozen villagers helped put out the fire that had engulfed the mosque. In Dudhnial in Neelum valley, the action took place further up in the mountains, away from the village. A few villagers were awakened by gunfire. An official familiar with what happened that morning said the Indians had advanced well beyond the LoC when their movements were detected.Down south, in Poonch, Kotli and Bhimber areas, it was more or less the same story: Indians coming forward from their positions on the LoC, taking unsuspecting Pakistani soldiers by surprise both due to the suddenness of the attack and the intensity of the fire and then pulling back once the Pakistanis had a chance to respond.Unprepared, and having a numerical disadvantage generally, the Pakistanis made use of their firepower to the fullest, exhausting their ammunition.Locals said that in the days following the attack, hundreds of villagers were pressed into service carrying artillery shells and other ammunition to border posts to replenish their supplies.Locals in Leepa told the BBC that following the attack, there had been an increased influx of militants in the valley. Are they in the area to help the army in case border skirmishes with the Indians get worse? No one is sure.India's 'surgical strikes': Truth or illusion?Surgical Strikes by India in PoK in September 2016 Reported by International MediaThe UK Telegraph said that Indian army destroyed six to eight terror launch pads in PoK.The Washington Post said that the surgical operation could mark a shift in India's policy towards Pakistan as "the most aggressive military action from India toward Pakistan in years and could mark a shift in India's strategy toward its neighbour".Al Jazeera quoted a PoK local as saying that people were frightened when Indian army attacked terror camps. The New York Times termed the Indian army operation as a 'precedent setting' one. The NYT also reported that India's operation had rattled Pakistan, which is threatening to use nuclear weapons in the event of a war.'Most aggressive action from India in years': What international media said about surgical strikesAs far as the Indian side is concerned, just watch the movie URI on the Surgical Strike. Now every Indian asks “How’s the Josh?’ and Indians respond “High Sir!”You can also read at https://www.indiatoday.in/india/story/uri-avenged-inside-story-indian-army-surgical-strikes-pok-343995-2016-09-29 It gave the proof from Pakistan Army too, “Few hours after the surgical strikes in PoK, Pakistan government has released the photographs of 2 dead soldiers. They have been identified as Havildar Jumma Khan and Naik Imtiaz.”After Indian Army's statement, Pakistani media started updating their pages with news of Pakistani army denying the claims. Read their Pakistan Army controlled narrative at India delusional? How Pakistan's media looked at surgical strikesBalakot Air Strikes Feb 2019 as reported by BBC“Balakot air strike: Pakistan shows off disputed site on eve of India election” 10 April 2019 (Note the headline and date of report. Two months after the strike)Foreign journalists and diplomats were taken by the Pakistani army on the visit to Balakot in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa state. They were shown a medium-sized crater which the army said had been made by an Indian air force bomb.A single house had been slightly damaged by the blast and a man had been injured, the BBC's Usman Zahid reports. The visitors also saw some fallen trees. They were then taken to the Taleem ul Quran madrassa, the first such visit by foreign media.Pakistani army spokesman Maj-Gen Asif Ghafoor insisted the madrassa did "no harm" and that Indian allegations that it was a terror training camp had "no truth".Some 150-200 children could be seen reciting the Koran in a mosque at the school. However, a teacher and a student interviewed by the BBC said they were all local people and that the madrassa had been shut since the Indian attack. While the media were allowed to take interviews they were told to keep them short and it was clear that the tour was being restricted.Balakot Air Strikes Feb 2019 as reported by International MediaThe New York Times Before the situation worsened on February 27, NYT published a piece pointing that in the aftermath of India's air strike on Pakistan, both the countries had left some room for de-escalation. "With India claiming to have avenged the Kashmir attack, and with Pakistan claiming that India had done no real damage, it seemed possible that the situation could yet be defused," the paper stated."Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government, up for re-election in two months time, claimed to have hit a terrorist training camp in the Balakot area in the northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan, killing 300 militants. Pakistan’s military spokesman, Major General Asif Ghafoor, denied the claims, saying that Indian war planes dropped their payloads without causing any casualties or damage to infrastructure."The Washington Post The Post's coverage of the ongoing conflict between the two nations is nothing short of extensive. It, so far, has at least over a dozen pieces ranging from "Pakistan captures Indian pilot after shooting down aircraft, escalating hostilities", "Pakistan violated Geneva Conventions by tweeting video of captured Indian pilot, expert says" to "Pakistan calls India airstrike on militant camp 'fictitious'".Like the NYT, a piece in the Washington Post also pointed out the duelling accounts concerning casualties reported. It stated that the act of an Indian aircraft venturing beyond the Line of Control to hit targets on Pakistani soil marked a potentially grave escalation of tensions between the nuclear-armed neighbours.ABC News also seems to have taken note of the differing number of casualties being reported by the two nations. "While the Indian foreign secretary claimed in a statement on Monday that a "very large number" of terrorists had been killed, the effectiveness of the attack has been refuted by Pakistan," the piece stated. The Guardian quoted the Local media in Pakistan as well as Reuters quoted residents of Balakot who said they heard four to five blasts overnight which damaged homes and left large pockmarks in the ground," the piece noted.Importantly, Al Jazeera noted the presence of a Jaish seminary near the site of India's air strikes that it was not allowed to visit.China Daily has carried close to 10 pieces on the issue: Pakistan army says Indian aircraft cross LoC, India strikes inside Pakistan after attack, Pakistan foreign minister speaks to Pompeo, warns India's 'aggressive posture' could affect Afghan peace process, Pakistan says it downs two Indian warplanes, Pakistan PM invites India for dialogue amid escalating tensions across LoC and so on.Given the sophistication of the Indian MiG-21s and considering their use of Tactical Data Links and high end avionics and sensors surpassing those of early fourth generation fighters, there is little reason to think that they could not down a Pakistani F-16. The F-16A and more modern F-16C relied on by the Pakistani Air Force notably lack many of these high end capabilities. Did an Indian MiG-21 Shoot Down a Pakistani F-16? A Look at the Bison’s Capabilities and Prospects for a Successful Air to Air KillA top expert with the Chinese defence forces has said it wasn’t Pakistan Air Force’s (PAF) US-made F-16 that shot down India’s MiG-21 Bison during last month’s dogfight when the two air forces had scrambled jets along the Line of Control (LoC). F-16 didn’t down India’s MiG-21 Bison, says top Chinese military expert"Despite Pakistan's efforts to deceive the world on the Indian airstrikes on the Jaish-e-Muhammad camp, small details of what happened in Balakot in the wee hours of February 26 and thereafter have kept trickling in from my source," Italian journalist Francesca Marino wrote in her report. Marino further wrote that a Pakistani army unit from Shinkiari base camp arrived at the location of the strike on February 26 around 6 am, just two-and-a-half hours after IAF successfully bombed the terror camp. Quoting sources, Marino wrote that a unit of the Pakistani Army arrived at the spot and transported the injured to the Harkar-ul-Mujahideen camp, located in Shinkiari, where Pakistan Army doctors treated them. Marino wrote that her sources indicated that around 45 individuals injured in the strike are still undergoing treatment at the military camp while 20 have succumbed during treatment. And, the terrorists who have recovered are in custody of the Pakistan Army, according to her report. https://encrypted-vtbn0.gstatic.com/video?q=tbn:ANd9GcRIjr4HA9TGOtJRXZnXOd64eV7wBrvYccBloov3h6V0howQEVjg and https://encrypted-vtbn1.gstatic.com/video?q=tbn:ANd9GcRAon7NsB4E5xpKQn8Jg9l90YyMeoKIW08ZreiuiNV2y9r_89Ac and Who is Francesca Marino? On August 29, 2017, for instance, the ISPR’s historical record is found to have acknowledged the loss of one Pakistani soldier along the LoC. But the same information is missing from the media statement of the day. It carries no mention of any LoC casualty but a reference to a Pakistani army operation in the Peshawar division. One soldier died at the LoC on August 26, 2016, according to the ISPR's historical data. The Pakistani army issued two statements the same day, but none contained any reference to any losses along the Line of Control, the Open-Source Investigation found.”Busted: Pakistan's ghost martyrsAmerican defence major Lockheed Martin, the manufacturer of the F-16 fighter jet, Saturday rejected a Pakistani official’s remark that it was going to sue India for “wrongly claiming” that one of its planes was shot down by MiG-21 Bison during an aerial fight in Jammu and Kashmir. Lockheed Martin, maker of F-16 jet, denies Pakistan’s claim about suing IndiaA picture of the wreckage of a Pakistan Air Force F-16 fighter jet, which was shot down by the Indian Air Force (IAF) and landed in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) on Wednesday, has now surfaced. According to ANI, the photograph shows Commanding Officer of Pakistan’s 7 Northern Light Infantry inspecting the wreckage.“Initially, Pakistan’s Major General Asif Ghafoor, the director general (DG) of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) had claimed that PAF had shot down two IAF aircraft and captured two of its pilots. Pakistan Prime Minster Imran Khan in his address on Wednesday had also claimed that the PAF had shot down two Indian’s jets and taken into custody its “pilots”.Although a Pakistani military spokesperson later clarified that it had in its custody only one IAF pilot, it appears Pakistan’s wrong assessment over the shooting down of its F-16 jet had led to the erroneous claim, both by Imran Khan and Major General Asif Ghafoor.” Did Pak count its own F-16 jet as one of IAF? Pakistan has been consistently denying using the American-made warplanes despite India displaying fragments of an advanced missile from the felled F-16.At Bhimber in PoK, the truth came out tumbling when the SIT dialled the city police station, posing as Pakistani military spies. An officer who picked up the phone revealed the Pakistani army has ordered the entire security establishment not to let any information about the crashed jet go out. The concept remained valid, and if ever there was need to invoke this concept, it was on November 21, 1971, when Indian troops crossed the East Pakistan borders in naked aggression. Unfortunately, the delay in opening the Western front and the half-hearted and hesitant manner in which it was ultimately opened only helped in precipitating the catastrophe in East Pakistan.Tactical Military Failures: Besides, the detailed narrative of events, as given in the supplementary report, clearly shows that the planning was hopelessly defective. There was neither any plan at all for the defense of Dhaka, nor any concerted effort to stem the enemy onslaught with a Division or a Brigade battle at any stage. It was only when the General found himself gradually being surrounded by the enemy which had successfully reached Faridpur, Khulna, Daudkandi and Chandpur (the shortest route to Dhaka), that he began to make frantic efforts to get the troops back for the defense of Dhaka.Moral Collapse of the Military Commander: The Report maintained that there was no actual order to surrender. In view of the desperate picture painted by the Commander Eastern Command, higher authorities gave him permission to surrender if he, in his judgment, thought it necessary. General Niazi could have opted not to surrender if he thought that he had the capability of defending Dhaka. On his own estimate, he had 26,400 men to hold out for another two weeks. The enemy would have taken a week to build up its forces and another week to reduce the fortress of Dhaka. But evidence showed that he had already lost the will to fight after December 7, 1971, when his major fortresses at Jessore and Brahmanbari had fallen. Detailed accounts of witnesses given to the Commission indicate that Lt-General Niazi had suffered a complete moral collapse during the closing phases of the war.Moral Degeneration of Military Leaders: It had been concluded that apart from the political, international and military factors, an important cause for defeat of the Pakistan Army was the lack of moral character and courage in the senior Army Commanders. The process of moral degeneration among the senior ranks of the armed forces was set in motion by their involvement in Martial Law duties in 1958. These tendencies were intensified when General Yahya Khan imposed Martial Law in the country once again in March 1969. A large number of senior army officers had not only indulged in large-scale acquisition of lands and houses and other commercial activities, but had also adopted highly immoral and lewd ways of life, which seriously affected their professional capabilities and their qualities of leadership. It appears that they had lost the will to fight and the ability to take vital and critical decisions required for the successful prosecution of the war.Read more at Hitesh Lav's answer to Why did the Pak Army surrender to the Indian Army in Dhaka almost without fighting, when they had resources for fighting? and Hitesh Lav's answer to How do Indian soldiers compare to Pakistani soldiers?Kargil War 1999During the Kargil conflict and in subsequent years, the Pakistan Army insisted that none of its regular soldiers were involved in the hostilities. This stance continued despite the Indian Army capturing several serving soldiers. The Pakistan Army never issued an official list of its casualties. Even in the middle of the war, the Indian Army had handed over bodies in coffins draped in the Pakistani flag to the Pakistani army at a border crossing near Kargil. Pakistan had at first refused to accept the bodies but later did. At least seven soldiers were caught and diaries and documents were found on them.[2]Eleven years after the Kargil war, Pakistan’s army has officially acknowledged its role by naming 453 soldiers and officers killed in the 1999 conflict. The soldiers have been named and listed on the army’s official website.[3]Twenty years have been passed since then and the state of Pakistan Army is still the same. Whether they are on Indian Front or anywhere else, Pakistan rarely accepts its military casualties. [5]Are you still with me…Do you still think Indian Army is demoralised? Indian Army is prepared for another round…where is the scare? Look at GHQ Rawalpindi. It doesn’t have a Military General to replace General Bajwa despite Sep 16 and Feb 19 reverses. What are some things you don’t like about living in San Diego?

I lived in The Marina section of downtown SD 2003–2016 (plus another 20 years prior to that in Marin County and OC, providing alternative California perspective) but eventually got bored with the area and moved away with no regrets. Allow me to be brutally honest without homerism and exaggerations one often hears about San Diego.Although the 8th largest city in the country it has a much smaller feel to it with residents willing to accept its many shortcomings in exchange for a warm(er) weather climate most, but not all, of the year. The city lacks the amenities and benefits of larger and similarly sized cities—including within its own state and some other sunbelt cities—that I will highlight in detail below, addressing this topic question of what you do NOT like about San Diego….not being a palm tree, there are other factors in a city that matter to me besides just the weather (with which I also found some flaws) and beach. Overall, San Diego is a laid back but second tier city—less fine (and as good) dining options, less culture, less community bonding, less pro sports teams, regional—not hub— airport, less nightlife, less shopping, less corporate, career and wealth building opportunities, etc. with poor infrastructure, less culture, class and style along with more homeless, more pollution and higher cost of living than many cities.A combination Military, border, Beach and tourist town with some STEM but many more service industry types is a combination that does not usually produce a sophisticated city—San Diego is no exception and why I eventually outgrew what some refer to as “Iowa by the sea”.1. Let’s start with the people/residents. Saying anything remotely critical about SD will instantly make you a pariah—very defensive, thin skinned, insecure and easily offended populace. Point out deficiencies or provide constructive criticism and you will get an infantile “if you don’t like it here, why don’t you leave” response. (Though, in fairness, good portions of CA and the Western 1/3 of the country exhibit similar traits).San Diego lives in the shadow of LA and has an LA sized inferiority complex. Small town and NIMBY mindset along with military presence set in its rigid ways limits the pace of progress combined with too much controlling influence from Manchester, Bosa, and The Port. (Don’t get me started on Faulconer and the screwed up local government). There is an element of aloof, provincial, parochial, non-inquisitive, “bubble” or ostrich mentality, content with status quo, overinflated—bordering on elitist—opinions of themselves, and seedy/grunge that describes many—but not all— who live here and justify their behavior under “we’re laid back.”There is a lack of basic common sense and common courtesy. Just living here seems to be some type of lifetime accomplishment for some, based predominantly on weather, which is why San Diego attracts more than its share of slackers from across the country. There are certainly some very good and successful people here along with pockets of very nice and affluent neighborhoods and I made and still have some great friends with whom I keep in contact but they were the minority, many of them transplants, and you really need to make a major effort to seek out quality and weed out the crap to find quality.2. Mediocre / Overrated restaurant city—not on par with top tier restaurant cities (NYC, LA, Chicago, SF, Houston, New Orleans, Miami, Portland, etc) or even smaller ones, such as Las Vegas, Charleston, or D.C. I cannot name one great restaurant I truly miss or salivate over on an upcoming visit as I do with these other cities, even though there have been improvements in recent years. Some are good/decent—such as Baci, Dobson’s, Addison, George’s California Modern, Juniper & Ivy, and Athens Market but the majority are meh. The only reason Marine Room, Bertrand at Mister A’s or Brian Malarkey and other so called good chefs make it here is because of self promotion and restaurant build outs or views, rather than the actual quality of the food. Not surprising since many locals couldn’t tell good food from bland if it bit them in the nose…Fillipi’s, Phil’s BBQ or Hodad’s anyone?….lol….no highly rated NYC or European outposts, 1 Michelin restaurant (suburban OC has more than that), no James Beard chefs or in the same league as Jean-Georges, Thomas Keller, Daniel Boulud, Jose Andres, Stephen Starr, etc etc. that you will find in top tier cities. Ever see flagship San Diego restaurants in other major cities?? (Hint: Jack in the Box and Rubio’s are not flagship).Besides high end, San Diego does a below average job with Italian (yes, even Little Italy for the most part is meh—Bencotto a rare exception), French, Peruvian, Indian, Spanish, Middle Eastern (Persian, Israeli, Lebanese, Turkish) Chinese (Convoy St restaurants suck compared to SF and LA), Steakhouses (heck, Donovan’s couldn’t survive here) and BBQ cuisine. Even the basics, such as serving good bread (if at all—let alone not charging you for it and often without crust) or being adept at picking out and offering a good wine by the glass selection, at the vast majority of restaurants was sub par. Restaurants that locals think are very good, such as Puesto or Buona Forchetta, would be considered average elsewhere. Man cannot live on fish tacos, sea urchin (WTF) or carne asada fries alone. One needs to dumb down their palate to “enjoy” the food scene in San Diego. Tijuana/Baja has better options.Update 11/6/20: as if above weren’t bad enough check out conditions in San Diego during the Covid pandemic—from a consumer and business owner perspective:Many San Diego business owners fear move to dreaded purple tier3. Mediocre nightlife for professional adults (maybe due to no central business district like other cities have), great if you are a 9th year junior in college, tourist or conventioneer who think The Gaslamp (which many downtown locals know better and avoid) is the best thing since sliced bread; Many classier neighborhoods (La Jolla, Del Mar, Coronado, etc.) seemingly shut down and turn into boring ghost towns after 9:00PM. Some, perhaps many, don’t like staying out late so they can be up early the next day. I require more than just sitting around in a ripped tank top drinking craft beer all day and night with others and their dogs waiting for the next Green Flash or UFC match. Need more places like Rancho Valencia’s Pony Room, Prohibition, Cafe Europa, and Grant Grill. Second tier entertainment—-more likely to get musical acts 20 - 40 years past their prime (Humphrey’s) than current top acts which play in LA but bypass SD. The biggest “cultural?” event of the year is Comic-con….lol, enough said.4. Poor professional sports town (only 1 team). Buffalo, Charlotte, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Kansas City, Cincinnati, and Nashville—all much smaller cities— have more pro sports teams than SD. Columbus, Sacramento, Hartford, Salt Lake City and Green Bay also have only 1 pro team….sad.Failing to build a new stadium cost the area a NFL franchise plus future Super Bowl hosting city rights—instead, LA will get that honor. Will the same fate occur with Comic-con—largest event of the year—due to the city’s inability to get its act together on expanding the Convention Center??…..think small, remain small.Speaking of Comic-con (I know, not sports related but I had to throw this in since I mentioned it above) evidently it attracts the crowd that does not like to or cannot afford to throw money around. One more example of the type of person SD attracts, as compared to other cities.Large Crowds Spend Little at Comic-Con5. Dated, dirty looking city with poor infrastructure, in spite of high state taxes—potholes everywhere (including affluent communities), frequent water main breaks, sewage spills—and it’s not like they can use snow and freezing weather as an excuse. Evidently, tax monies earmarked for the homeless has not eradicated that situation nor the other deficiencies cited above. Where does that tax money go—to undocumented families seeking free healthcare that legal residents pay for???Desert brown and dirt filled topography—even the brownish, non maintained palm trees look like they are dying. Weeds and brush grow freely along freeway dividers and sides of the road along with trash. Dated, 1970’s Koll cookie cutter office complexes throughout the County. Uninspiring architecture with the exception of Balboa Park, 1 or 2 unique buildings in the Gaslamp, and the musty smelling Hotel Del Coronado that badly needs renovation. Many older homes and apartments were poorly constructed (lacking insulation) and do not have air conditioning—which, in spite of what natives incorrectly claim and recent climate change, you need in the summer months (especially once you get just more than a mile or two inland). Heck, I lived less than 1/4 mile from the bay and routinely ran up $200+ SDGE utility bills (AC) from July - September in my 1200 square foot condo. For those on a budget I suppose a fan might work.Cross Border Sewage Flow Inundating San Diego's South CountyWater main break floods streets, yards in North ParkCounty issues beach closure after La Jolla sewage spill4,200-gallon sewage spill closes beach in Del MarWater main break causes flooding in Normal HeightsCrews work late into night to repair sinkhole near Hotel CircleWater Main Break Causes Muddy Mess in Old TownRepairs to 30-Foot-Deep Sinkhole May Affect Evening CommuteRequests to Repair Potholes in San Diego Pour InSan Diego Gas & Electric rates are nation's highestSan Diego is one of the most polluted cities in the entire nation with below average air quality:Report ranks San Diego as 5th most polluted large metro area in the USMost Polluted Cities | State of the AirWhat cities had the cleanest air according to the American Lung Association’s 2020 State of the Air Report?https://www.accuweather.com/en/us/san-diego/92101/air-quality-index/3476286. Public health officer Dr. Wilma Wooten said that Oct. 25 marked 100 days since the most recent case, the threshold for no longer meeting the definition of an outbreak, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported Tuesday. San Diego has had only 15 new cases in 2018.https://apnews.com/article/cc40b8c476ef469ebdc2228772176b03Column: San Diego's homeless crisis brings grim comparisons7. Convenient but small airport for city of its size with but one runway often requiring connecting flights through other hub airports or driving 2+ hours up to LAX for more direct nonstop options. They have added a few more routes and no frills airlines in recent years but would you really want to sit on a Spirit Airlines plane cross country or Norwegian Air for 12+ hours to Europe ??…TSA often understaffed with some pre-check lanes closed far too often at the American Airlines side of Terminal 2. Terminal 1 badly needs an upgrade. Not sure why the trolley was not expanded from downtown to the airport. Planes can be diverted to LAX in late November and/or December when there is heavy fog and they cannot land safely, adding a 3 hour+ delay getting home which includes not only transit time but waiting for luggage to be transferred from the plane to an airline supplied bus.8. Less career, corporate/Fortune 500 headquarter presence, and wealth building opportunities in SD than other areas of CA—OC, LA, SF, San Jose. People can be paid less in SD for similar positions than in these other CA cities/county and have a more difficult time/fewer opportunities finding their next job if laid off—a so called “sun tax” (odd, LA, OC and San Jose get plenty of sun but don’t seem to have this issue). SD does have a higher paying biotech/life sciences and medical devices presence, but that accounts for only 4% of the entire County workforce (concentrated in La Jolla and Carlsbad) and pales in comparison to the number of IT and biotech opportunities/jobs in Silicon Valley/Bay Area and LA.San Diego tech workers are lowest paid out of 10 major cities. But there's hope yetLack of well rounded, let alone, highly/top rated Law School and MBA programs limits job and better paying opportunities in the much larger labor force areas outside of science and medicine. Minimal corporate headquarter presence—not surprising given cost of doing business and regulations in CA.As a “professional” city, San Diego punches below its weight. I was fortunate to have held on to my job with a Texas based bellwether semiconductor company for more than 30 years. Great place if your career aspiration is to be a bartender or door man at Fluxx, however. Are You Underpaid? Survey Released With Robert Half 2019 Salary Guides Finds 46 Percent Of Workers Feel Shortchanged9. Poor and understaffed police presence resulting in voicemail rather than live dispatchers when you call in a non emergency situation (glass in the street, homeless person disturbing the peace, non functioning traffic signal) along with middle of the night helicopter flyover patrols that are used after a crime has been committed (that wakes up the neighborhood) rather than quieter street presence patrol cars that act as a crime deterrent in the first place. Like others, police are often underpaid in SD and jump at the opportunity to move elsewhere for better paying opportunities. Fortunately, crime/safety is not a major issue given the police shortage (either that or crime statistics are underreported by the City).https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.sandiegoreader.com/news/2017/sep/14/ticker-san-diego-still-cheaping-out-cops/%3famp&page=all10. Traffic has gotten progressively worse over the years, though not as bad as LA. Throngs of people from Arizona add to the problem during the peak summer months when they descend upon SD to escape their own desert heat. I have not witnessed road rage that others have posted about, though thin skinned residents act as if you have pissed on their grandmother’s grave if you dare use your horn when the comatose driver texting in the car in front of you has not moved after the light changed to green 10 seconds earlier or the self absorbed pedestrian who takes an extra 30 seconds than necessary to cross the street and holds up traffic. Finally, the slightest precipitation produces awful driving on the roads.11. Even the weather is overrated— REPEAT AFTER ME: IT IS NOT A PERFECT 72 AND SUNNY EVERY DAY OR MANY DAYS. IT IS NOT SUMMER EVERY DAY. SHOWING UP AT THE BEACH ON A CHILLY WINTER DAY WEARING A SWEATSHIRT, UNABLE TO SUNBATHE IN SWIM TRUNKS OR BIKINI, IS NOT A BEACH DAY. IT GETS HOT IN THE LATE SUMMER WITH STRETCHES OF HUMID AND MUGGY CONDITIONS ALONG WITH TRIPLE DIGIT TEMPERATURES….”it has perfect weather” is a bunch of bullshit.San Diegans have always tended to exaggerate when it comes to weather—light January drizzle is called “winter storm watch” and the lead story on evening newscasts...LOL:Commentary : It Will Be a Cold Day When San Diegans Tell Truth About Weather(1) chilly for good portions of the 4 winter months from Dec 1 - April 1, outside of a 3–4 day Santa Ana, when temperatures can dip down to the low 40’s, sometimes the 30’s, with many days only reaching the high 50’s - low 60’s, yet feeling much colder than that. Bone dry to the point your skin starts itching for months in the winter. (2) May Gray/June gloom, (3) possibility of temperatures approaching 90-100 or higher (see below) with greater frequency and wildfires spewing ash in recent years and no breeze and muggy humid air in the summer along with unhealthy air quality and the annual August termite infestation, though I do get a kick out of some ass backwards morons who wear ski caps on warm days; and (4) the beaches are scenic but the ocean is way too cold to go in without a wetsuit 8 months of the year. San Diego does have good surf IF you are one of the 1% of the US population that actually surfs (feel free to look up the stats for yourself). Better and good weather ON AVERAGE than most of the country and most of the year BUT NOT as great or perfect EVERY day or for portions of the year as residents make it out to be. When the weather starts losing some of its appeal then you know it’s time to move away from SD as the area offers little, if anything, else.Greater San Diego could notch all-time high temperatures on SaturdayHeat Wave Continues, SDG&E Says 'High Likelihood' Of Rotating Power OutagesTired of this humid heat wave? For each step forward, 3 steps backwards. Glad to see they are developing the Broadway Pier, giving Seaport Village a makeover (completed when, 2034 or before Barcelona’s Sagrada Familia??) and updated Westfield UTC La Jolla and Del Mar Highlands malls. Too bad the City could not support retail at Horton (Homeless) Plaza (still not sure why they built a “park” Plaza there, which ended up attracting even more homeless), Whole Foods pulled out of its downtown plans, blew a chance at a MLS team and are settling for a lower tier USL soccer league, have not come up with a viable option for Qualcomm Stadium, failed to build a new football stadium, blew a $1.2 Billion Chula Vista project with Gaylord, continue to have issues with the antiquated Amtrak route by the Del Mar Bluffs, maintain an overly regulated anti-business attitude, etc etc….incredibly, plans for a Ritz Carlton mixed use project were approved for downtown’s East Village back in 2016 and 4 damn years later in summer 2020 they STILL HAVE NOT broken ground—typical San Diego…”we’re laid back”:Downtown Ritz Carlton Project ResumedI never lived in North County, but visited often enough. Too slow (even by laid back SD standards) and suburban for my tastes—similar to Orange County or Boca Raton. Maybe when I am 75-80 or ready to pick a cemetery plot the area will appeal more to me. South County (blue collar) and East County (redneck) not areas that appeal to me—not too different than Whittier, Gardena, Chino, Anaheim, Riverside and Montebello. Can locals please finally stop repeating falsehoods and embellishing to make themselves feel better:(1) The rest of the country does NOT anoint nor refer to SD as America’s Finest City—ONLY San Diegans do that, especially natives….please, enough already….that phrase was originally coined by then former SD Mayor Pete Wilson as part of a public relations stunt to save face after he and the city screwed up hosting the 1972 RNC and it was moved to Miami. The fact you repeat it often enough hoping for a different explanation and origin is the definition of insanity.(2) To answer the often stupid asked question, “where else can you find weather in the country or world like this” when temperatures do reach the mid to high 70’s , but only for a for a 3–5 day stretch, during a winter month Santa Ana (ignoring the other 25-27 cool, non-beach days of that month and evidently having flunked High School geography)—ah, let me see….how about OC, LA, Hawaii, Florida, Arizona, sometimes Texas, Caribbean, South America, portions of Australia, Asia, Middle East, Africa, etc..Benefits of SD: Not all is negative and even though the topic question did not ask what I liked about SD, let me share some positive thoughts:Any slightly motivated and intelligent person (especially a transplant from back East) can get by using half their brain and still outperform most of the population in their field of employment; if you like acting stupid and not getting called out for it this is a perfect place for you ; good gyms; relative ease getting to and free parking at many local beaches; access to Mexico, OC/LA, Vegas; outdoor activities (golf, hiking, sailing, somewhat decent/passable “local” skiing—though many times with manmade snow and requiring a 2 hour+ drive to get to), Balboa Park, farmers markets, and craft beer (though San Diegans act as if they are the only city with a notable craft beer industy); Scripps was one of the best run medical facilities I’ve ever dealt with. There is variety from neighborhood to neighborhood in many areas, not homogeneous like many other areas of SoCal; Petco Park and Del Mar Racetrack are very nice venues. In short, an overrated and underwhelming city with a provincial mindset and better than deserved reputation that lives off of its climate reputation, laid back attitude and not much else. You pay big city prices but get big city problems with small town amenities/benefits in return. In terms of substance, make up and residents, SD as a “city” (more a collection of small towns strung together with many content to settle for less) is a lot closer to San Jose (without the caliber of and as many high paying jobs) or Sacramento than LA or SF. If you are looking for classy, sexy, sophisticated, exciting, cosmopolitan and modern you will not find it here. “We’re not LA” is what San Diegans will repeat frequently, to which I agree and reply no kidding—LA is a world class city, SD is not. I would take less issue if San Diegans were more honest about willing to settle for less and admitting their city is very average rather than claiming their city is something that it is not.SD is more in line with other second tier cities such as Portland, Austin, Phoenix, Tampa, Minneapolis and Denver, NOT top tier NYC, Chicago, LA, D.C., SF, Miami, Philadelphia, Houston, Dallas, etc) in spite of what residents incorrectly think which is why it is better suited for people from smaller / other second and third tier cities, in the military, and rural or mountain states along with what I describe as Type Zzzz personalities (those who go through life daydreaming) and Peter Pan syndrome types— the opposite of Type A and/or those who never grow up.Think of San Diego as being similar to an overrated and overpriced restaurant with pretty artwork on the walls that serves small portions of mediocre food with so so service that tries passing itself off as the next French Laundry (sounds like Herb & Wood…lol) with gullible, overly prideful local patrons (many dressed like slobs) thinking, boasting and perpetuating the false passive aggressive narrative that it’s the best place on the planet because it’s expensive (therefore, in their minds, it must be good) yet complain about its high cost of living at the same time…Worse places?—absolutely….Best place?—far from it. Am I alone in my thinking?—a Google search will provide many blogs and websites with others, including natives, who share many of my sentiments expressed above; below are just a few:10 reasons i hate san diegoSan Diegans: Why so rude and cold?
