Paper based application forms for Common Entrance examinations like IIT-JEE, GATE, EAMCET etc.More that ten years back, every common entrance examination used to have Paper based offline application form where you purchase the form from bank counters or post offices or request through post.Though online application method started for some examinations at that time, it’s not reliable due to unstable internet connections and slow speeds.This is what we used to do ─Stand in queue at bank counters to fill challan, pay the fees and collect the application form and brochure.Practice filling the application form 10–20 times on plain paper so that no errors occur on the actual one - It’s ONE application form you fill with pen. There is a common application form of DU for all the UG level of programmes offered in all the 91 affiliated DU colleges, except Jesus and Mary College and St. Stephen's College. The process of filling out the DU application form 2020 is solely online and no DU application form sent to the university via post/courier will be accepted. To fill the application form of DU, candidates have to register first, then fill their personal, academic, and contact details in the DU application form and upload a photograph and signature as well as other requisite documents.

Well the first thing I did, and the utmost important thing I did, was to send the “elite” university a postcard or a letter to request an application form to be MAILED to me.But I am serious. Back in 1996, Internet was in its infancy. I was applying from Canada. My counselor basically told me I would only get five copies of the recommendation letter to be sent to five US schools of my choosing; that was it! He was not going to send more than that. There was no such thing as Common Application. You cannot just click, click and click on the Internet and decide to apply to Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Penn, and Dartmouth all at once!No, you actually had to take the initiative to mail the university a request SEVERAL months in advance and wait for the application form to arrive at your door via snail mail.That step alone weeded out thousands of applicants!Then the rest is easy because it is all about grades, extracurriculars, AP/IB classes and all the math and science competitions you have already entered.I would say it was way easier to get into an elite university back then. But I think schools nowadays make it so easy for you to send in the application that they are probably just robbing you your application fees even though you do not have an ounce of chance getting in.Back then, in 1990’s, procrastinators did not need to apply!
