As a small business in California bidding to the state prison system I would receive a cover sheet plus 2–3 page fax request for a quote for supplies, and fax back a 2–3 page quote.The state of California in its infinite wisdom mandated a paperwork reduction act.The new request for quotes now take 6–8 page for the same size request for quote. If the state of California keeps this up we will be awash in paper waste if they pass another paperwork reduction act.
