Probably because everyone chooses to be ANONYMOUS!I am a second year currently in Ecell. Yes, we need to focus more on productivity of our events and we are working on it. We are taking initiatives and trying to build a better entrepreneurial ecosystem.But obviously, people don't realize that it takes time to conceptualize and implement new events.I am not saying that qualities that ecell members develop can't be developed elsewhere. Work hard for any organisation and you are going to develop your personality. But in ecell, there is a higher probability that you will develop these qualities in a shorter span.People being in ecell doesn't build up a stud profile!!!The kind of work and pressure you are exposed to helps make you tougher and exposes you to situations and that's what improves you. The tag simply doesn't.The learning curve is slow in 1st year but eventually by the end of 2nd year, i believe everyone understands and can answer basic concepts and questions related to entrepreneurship. It takes time to complete video lectures/ coursera courses and similarly it takes time in ecell to learn all the things.For the record, if you wanna startup because you wanna build your CV, then definitely stay away from Ecell. We are working on helping startups and we would appreciate if we have genuine cases rather than boastful ones which would never survive. And we do help alumni startups as well.You can always be an entrepreneur without being a part of ecell. It's good that you thought of a situation and came up with something innovative. But yes, being a part of ecell helps you learn. You can always score good marks by studying last 3 days before the exam, but attending all the classes is more likely to strengthen your concepts. And believe me, very few startups in campus resent ecell or something like that. They are busy in their startups and it's good that way. But we are always there to help.Personally, i believe ecell changed the way i think and perceive things. I am currently working in a couple of startups including one which i have co-founded. And i don't believe that taking an ecell guy onboard would do me a significant amount of help. Well, in initial stages a person needs to work more on his idea and it's viability and ecell's help comes after that. No point in adding a guy onboard because he's a member of ecell. By your logic, probably taking any CTM or any guy who is a part of a fest should help because he also apparently seems to have all the qualities an ecell guy has.Being in ecell helps. But not being there is not a handicap. And entrepreneurs can be from anywhere not necessarily from ecell.And please spare the Beauty w/o brains logic. That is all crap. There is a reason why someone gets selected or removed. And beauty has never been a criteria.Ask me about incubators, accelerators and STEP or anything closely or remotely related and you will be surprised because apparently you don't think people have that kind of funda in ecell.BTW, Incubation charges in STEP are INR 20k and an advance of 6 months rent if you are looking forward to wet incubation.Around 20-30% of ecell members are currently thinking seriously about their respective startups. And believe that is way above the institute's non ecell starting up ratio which is close to 0.5-0.9% (i know because i have surveyed almost all the startups). And when i say 20-30%, i refer to the percentage from the whole ecell community involving 1st and 2nd years who mostly haven't started up.Recheck yours stats! Intugine has been helped tremendously by ecell and i don't think they disagree. And as of News in Shorts, we are helping them too. Not every startup really needs our help and we don't force our help on them. So, its okay to few startups who flourished without any support.The VP candi politics has always been there and it has little to do with ecell. In any case it has more to do with hall politics. We may had a few candidates but that doesn't really prove a point. If there would have been another guy who would have been better, then it would have been upto the Hall to recognise that kind of talent. Not ecell's fault that they have potential candidates.Every society has it's own way of telling they are important. And really, duping on the name of entrepreneurship! That's our agenda,we definitely get to publicize our agenda!!!In the end, if you think you are smarter than a lot of people in ecell, which will all due respect you might be, there are two things you can really do with it. Help ecell by contributing, if you think you could have done something better had u been in ecell( i am pretty sure you aren't) or just keep quiet and appreciate a bunch of hard working people and their efforts.It's always easy to criticize but really very hard to make a difference or for that matter even want to genuinely make a difference!

I can’t understand which club you are talking about but if your concern is about Entrepreneurship Cell(Ecell) so I would like to say you that there is an ECELL in IIIT Sonepat and it is very active all the days as there Ecell arranges a webinar every week with successful entrepreneurs. And as of now IIIT Sonepat is at IIT Delhi Technopark there many of the startups are running in same so we have have good interaction with startup owners so it is obviously very helpful for us.
