It would depend on what they are looking for. Sometimes political incidences need to be taken into account when planning tourism, although not so much in Southern Africa. I am more familiar with Southern Africa so will speak from my knowledge of this area:South Africa provides a diverse environment with facilities that are comparable to developed nations and ease of travel. You may have to be careful due to crime, but you could have safari, beach, mountains, shopping and historical tourism. You can find all sorts of cuisine due to the many cultures present in this rainbow nation. There are lots of vineyards that you can visit, as well as many types of wines.Zambia, Zimbabwe and Botswana all offer good wildlife experiences, with Botswana’s probably being the best due to their conservation efforts. The three countries converge in the same region and it could be possible to visit all three, allowing one to see the Victoria Falls, the Okavango delta and the tourist town of Livingstone.Namibia has a vast desert and enormous coast. It is famous for rolling dunes converging with the cold Atlantic ocean.As far as the rest of Africa is concerned, I don’t know much, but I know that:Tanzania and Kenya also offer combined Beach and Safari packages. Kenya has beautiful beaches and the famous Mount Kilimanjaro is in Tanzania. If you intend to climb the mountain, you would have to book a guide and train for this beforehand as the climb is quite difficult. Kenya produces some of the best coffee and Tanzania produces incredible tea.For beach holidays, the islands of Mauritius, Zanzibar and Seychelles all offer different experiences. Seychelles are small islands with small populations and quiet beaches. Zanzibar is rich in history and flora- most famously various spices and teas. Mauritius is a booming island for the more adventurous. It is packed with lots to do like shopping, scuba diving, reef walking, beaches, and more.Mozambique has pristine beaches and incredible seafood. Scuba diving is also offered here. However, the political climate is not very stable, so I would advise using some caution if you do decide to visit.Malawi has Lake Malawi which is very pleasant to visit, though, it can be a bit exclusive.Ghana has beaches and large forests. It is steeped in history which can be discovered by visits to its various historical sites.Morocco offers more beautiful beaches, mountains, deserts and rich history in a politically stable regionEgypt is well known for its pyramids, scuba diving and bustling cities.Ethiopia has many historical ruins of ancient cities and churches. Some of the best coffee is produced here. The country is easily accessible by its very own airline, Ethiopian Airlines, which has flights from major cities across the world to most countries in Africa.Of course there is a whole lot more to see and do in various countries in Africa; I have only spoken about 16/54 countries in Africa!

First and foremost, the falls. Then there are some beautiful gorges in the falls area, but you can only get there by car (taxi). In terms of sights, I could also think of the Zambezi river: you can a get a nice sunset view at the terrace in David Livingstone Hotel (which is also outside Livingstone but accessible by taxi). There is nothing much to see in Livingstone town: no historic places, just one small park… But there are quite some outdoor activities and excursions that you can book via your hotel reception or on your own. I recommend baobab climbing: this is something you can’t do anywhere else in Southern Africa (unlike safaris, bungee jumping, rafting etc.) You climb a magnificent tree, which is a thousand years old, and enjoy a beautiful view from the top.

Just google it, you will find the website.Nadeem Aslam: Read his interviews first and pick his book.The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri, The Book of Disquiet by Fernando Pessoa, Chronicle of a Corpse Bearer by Cyrus Mistry, The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. You can read works of Friedrich Nietzsche, Salman Rushdie, Tolstoy, Allen Ginsberg, Elizabeth Gilbert.
