Since I have no idea where you are planning on using uPVC, all I can say is that it will, in the USA anyway, be entirely up to whatever the local permitting and inspection department decides. There are no truly universal codes in this country and different jurisdictions often have adopted different versions of one code or another, so what is acceptable in one locale may not be, just a few miles down the road.I once failed a final CO on a 425 unit complex at the last minute because the label on the trash compactor motor had a commonly accepted Canadian alternative to the US UL label. That was a very costly delay in lease up, and the inspection department wouldn’t give an inch. So good luck.

Quality. This is a career that transcends industries. It can be in manufacturing, medical devices, hospitals, software development and just about anywhere there are processes that need improvement.As an INTJ, I job hopped when I was younger, everything from working at a gas station, to sales, to managing a public auditorium, to social work, to managing a grocery store with temp work scattered here and there. Always the adventure.I’d ‘master’ the position (except for social work; the mental and emotional drain almost took my sanity) and get bored and move on.And then I was asked to resign from a position because the board members were a bunch of pampered whiny babies. They wanted a puppet and INTJs don’t do puppet.So ended up doing labor at a manufacturing plant. As an INTJ it didn’t take long to master various jobs and to excel at hitting production rates, even making those operations more efficient. This is something intuitive not something planned.Pretty soon I found myself in the inspection department and from there I would, over the course of 15 years, find myself as a director of quality.Quality is always challenging, there are always problems to solve, processes to improve and using math and engineering skills is a natural fit. There is always more to learn and you’ll find that you’re interstitial in the organization, flowing in and out of departments in efforts to maximize efficiency.Quality isn’t something people seek out, it’s generally somewhere people end up but it’s been a good fit for me.
