It's rather indirect, but there was one good (and ironically ethical) thing that came out of the Nazi science experiments.Subsequent to the conclusion of WWII, the Allies held the Nuremberg War Trials. One important result of these trials, specifically linked to the Nazi experiments, was something termed the Nuremberg Code. This was the first statement of ethics for research involving human subjects. It paved the way for the creation of subsequent statements of research ethics, such as the TriCouncil Policy Statement, or TCPS. The TCPS lays down the standards for ethics of research involving human subjects if you're receiving research funding from one of the three major Canadian federal granting agencies: Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), and Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC).
