I have open my demat account with 5paisa.com which was opened and was confirmed via email as on 27 September 2018 at 6:57 pm. I received a phone call from number as +919748538652, 28th sep in evening, the person stated his name as sandeep and represented himself as employee of Smart Money Financial Service, indore he said that he have my number and know that i have opened my demat account with 5 paisa and asked me to get myself to be registered with them at a fee of 10,000 per month, he asked me not to invest in long term and to be indulged in intra day trading as per their research, for cross checking i asked them the source from where they got my personal details and the information which i didn't shared with anyone, this incident was also conveyed and mentioned to 5paisa employee through telephonic conversation on the phone number 0796156200 on 28 September 2018 at 7 pm and she accepted that similar complaint have been received from other client also and she has refereed my concern to seniors. But i didn't received reference number of my complaint.I searched the internet and found that such people insist on doing intra day trade, of all the customer they ask 50% of client buy a particular stock and other 50% to sell their stock. so their sucess rate become 50%.On 01 October 2018 , 10:15 am again i received call from number 9748538652. He asked me again if i wish to avail their service to which i asked him to provide his details to which he denied and verbally abused. he also threatened that he will do harm to me.As per personal data protection bill 2011 and information and technology act or any other act i have never given consent to share my detail to any other organisation or firm, It is not so good to see data breach at their level. As i have read term and condition, and as per authorization letter point (i) which state "The above is my/ our personal E-mail id. I/We shall take all necessary steps to ensure confidentiality and the secrecy of the login and password of theabovementioned e-mail account. 5paisa Capital Limited shall not be liable to or responsible for any breach of secrecy. I/We am/are aware that thestatements/ documents may be accessed by other entities in case the confidentiality/secrecy of the login name and password is compromised. I/We willbe solely responsible for the security of the information provided on my/ our aforesaid e-mail id."but nowhere they write what happen if data breach on their side.This incident proves that data have breached on their side, as no one except 5paisa itself know that i have opened a demat account. My details consisting my demat account and my phone number have been compromised. I still didn't know what other details have been compromised.what i feel is that there are people in company(other companies too) who sell client data to other companies for few bucks.I think you should not provide adhar details first as it is not mandatory as per recent judgement of supreme court. Second thing is the bank account given for trading should not be your main account where you keep all your savings and do day to day transaction. Your safety is in your hand.
