I am currently(2019) a second year UG student of IITKGP,who just got a branch change from Mechanical engineering to Electronics engineering (ECE).So,I may be able to answer it well.Compared to cracking JEE,it is really very easy but still it is tougher than that in IIT Kanpur,as I know from my friend who studies there.All you need is to maintain regularity and study the subjects equally.A daily 1 hour honest study can make any student,who has passed JEE,a 9.5+ pointer.But,the most difficult aspect is to bypass the distractions.Since ,most of the college students are staying away from home,away from the eyes of parents for the first time,they drift away from focus and misuse the mobile phone.I was not an exception. But,still if you are motivated and confident,then you can defeat these negativities.Never lose hope,since we have continuous assessment here in IITKGP. So,if you have 1 bad day in the exam hall,you can make it up in the subsequent exams.Speaking about myself,I did badly in the midsem of 2nd sem,but studied hard in the end sem to take my sgpa to 9.74.My overall CGPA was 9.64.I studied half an hour on an average per day, maybe.So, that’s it….Any query?you may ask me in the comment section..GOOD LUCK!

Until he happened to watch her making out with Dean, and out of jealousy Harry is forced to re-evaluate Ginny as a romantic prospect.Jealousy is a feminine driver, not a masculine one. We guys don’t work that way.Particularly as teenagers, we continuously assess every girl in our vicinity and wonder what would be like to kiss her, make out with her, and how she would look like without her clothes (thrice-damned wizarding robes, we can barely see her ankles!).Why? Because testosterone drives us nuts, that’s why. We are pretty much forced to experience this every day. When an attractive woman passes by, and a 15 year-old teenager almost breaks his neck staring at her derriére, he isn’t doing this because he consciously decided to. He is just acting on his primal impulses to go there, meet her, arouse her, and make babies in her. It’s the testosterone in his brain telling him to do this. As we guys mature, our hormonal system becomes more stable and we feel less impulses. Or at least most of us do.So, in a realistic take, Harry would have already paid a closer attention to Ginny (and to any other girl in Hogwarts in his age range, really) at the start of his puberty. And, since she is pretty AND close to him, he certainly would consider her an excellent prospect, and would go for her right after his fiasco with Cho.In short, we don’t need jealousy or competition as drivers for our romantic life. We just look at a girl and feel it.EDIT: For clarification, a copy of what I said in a comment below:Let’s compare Cho and Ginny cases: when Harry first met Cho in PoA, he realized she was pretty and, when the Yule Ball took place, she was the first one he wanted to ask out. Harry was already attracted to her, he just wasn’t sure what she thought of him.Sure, he was nervous and clumsy when asking her out, but which 14 year-old isn’t? But he eventually asked, and to his dismay he found out she was going with Cedric.The point is: he only looked at Cho and the attraction sparked. The same could have happened with Ginny but, for dramatic purposes, Dean was thrown as an obstacle first.I simply think Harry would have found Ginny attractive even before she started going out with Dean, that’s all.
