Which college in India pushes you to create and innovate?

I would say BITS Pilani. Here's why:No compulsory attendance. This means you can spend your time doing the things you like. If your focus is to innovate, you can skip management(theory) classes. BITS believes in giving freedom to students, right from the day a student enters the campus all decisions are taken by him or her. Students get to make their own timetable, they get to choose the teachers they want to study under , the time when they wish to study, the courses they wish to choose. No reservation, or management quota. At the BITS Pilani, there isn’t any kind of reservation for anybody. Administration here believes that reservation can hardly play a part in the progress and advancement of the country. Every single student at BITS Pilani is equal and there are no special privileges for anybody. This means you are always with students of merit and have an overall better company of friends.Internet: 150TB of data accessible at 100mbps. We all know what wonders a good Internet can do.Great alumni, guaranteed internships and a very good reputation in the practical world.BITS is known for its academic flexibilites. You can pursue engineering with science. You can complete your engineering in 3.5 years if you have the calibre. You can study both computer science and Electrical if you have the potential in you. These are just few, there are innumerable combinations which you can choose from. More than 150 elective courses are offered each semester which you can choose from to studyTo add to the laurels, (APOGEE) the BITS Pilani technical festival is ISO 2009 certified which in layman language simply means it is up to the International standards. The thing to be noted here would be that all the festivals are managed and handled by students. There is no interference from any of the professors from the institute side and hence proving that BITS not just produces engineers but good managers too.PS: I'm not a student of BITS but have a friend studying there.EDIT: Here are some interesting facts. It's tougher to get into BITS than into IITs. 68 students compete for each seat at BITS whereas just 54 compete for IITs. What are the best MS in Data Science/Analytics Programs in the US?

This was the very question that bugged me a year before, had admits from multiple universities like UIC, ASU etc. One year since then and I am very happy to be at Oklahoma State University’s MS in Business Analytics program(now called as MS in Business Analytics & Data Science). Let me tell you why I think my decision was right –1) Cost-Effective : Stillwater, Oklahoma is relatively economical place to live for a student. The i20 amount for an international student is around $35,000 which is decent when you compare with other universities. Given you’re academically competitive enough, you might end up spending much lesser thanks to assistantships etc. More in point 4.2) History : The program boasts a long history (15+ years), although it was named differently. Hundreds of students graduated and settled down in different parts of the U.S. You get to work with a few of them in close quarters (They mentor you for projects, competitions, jobs etc.)3) In-take : Program intake is only around 30-40 students every year. You get one-on-one attention in improving your skillset and work on the things you are lagging at. (Less competition = More chances of assistantship). You will have a small family by the end of the program.4) Assistanships : Program was able to award graduate assistantships to everyone from my batch starting from second semester. Your tuition gets waived-off and you get paid around $1,000/month for working 20 hours (max. limit for international students) as a graduate assistant.5) Placements : Very high record of full-time offers and summer internships. I’ve seen people saying Oklahoma has location disadvantage – the answer is 100% summer internships for my batch and the batch before. More than 80% full-time offers with in 3 months of graduation for last 2 years.6) Advisory Board : The program has a big list of corporates and alumni on advisory board. They help in designing curriculum to meet latest analytics trends, student recruiting – fulltime and internships, fundraising etc.7) Reputation : Okstate’s MSBAN program is well established in the industry due to its long history. The program director Dr. Goutam Chakraborty is well reputed in the industry and he brings a ton of experience and connections along with him.Curriculum :1) The program is a great mix of Statistics, Marketing, Business, Research.2) You have separate career tracks based on your interests (Statistics, Healthcare, HR analytics, Optimization). More details on website.3) Every semester, you work on real time industry projects with companies that are in a tie-up with the program. Lot of content to talk about, in interviews.4) Free weekend trainings on Finance, Accounting, Spreadsheet modeling, Deep learning and many more to get you ready for industry irrespective of your career/background.5) There is a 1 credit course (Research & Communication) specially designed to teach students how to communicate your insights effectively, and how to take up quality research. (Emphasis on writing high quality research papers, presentation skills etc.)6) Free Datacamp premium account to solve assignments in R, Python and business cases.7) Alumni help you with invaluable mentorship in your research paper, understanding current industry trends etc.8) You get to participate in case competitions both intra-university and external ones. You get exposure, networking, and a chance to showcase your skillset. The prize money is an added bonus.9) Sponsored conferences to present your research work at various conferences. A deep association with SAS institute makes all these possible.10) Some opine that 21 month program is too long. My personal opinion is that you need time to digest the courses and work on some good projects. More over, around half of the students work in paid advanced internships in last semester which adds work experience before graduation itself. Counting summer internship too, it amounts to only 14 months classwork. You can find more details at : Business Analytics & Data Science - Oklahoma State UniversityJoin the well maintained student facebook group : Log into Facebook | Facebook

In the USA, I see a lot of Tamil, Telugu, and Gujarati speaking people, but fewer Marathi and Kannada speaking ones. Are they fewer in numbers or are they just low profile?

If you look into the figures, Telugu speaking people are the largest ethnic group (by native speakers ratio) in the USA. A lot of people in the then undivided Andhra Pradesh migrated to the USA long back. Even now, the top two aspirations of Telugu people are to get into IIT or to migrate to the USA. They are very hard working people and their determination is the reason why Andhra Pradesh and now even Telangana has the highest representation in the IIT’s and as I mentioned earlier, they are the largest Indian ethnic group in the USA.Tamilians are spread across the world. Many Tamilians settled in the Caribbean islands long back when they were brought in as plantation workers by the then British government, which was ruling India. The degree of migration in Tamillians is also quite high. Do you know that Tamil is also one of the official languages of Singapore? Telugu people and Tamilians have been more open to migrating to other places. Not only have they migrated in large numbers, they have also formed social and cultural associations in their adopted homelands. This is very good and has helped preserve their wonderful culture and has made their communities united. Kids from Telugu and Tamil households can learn so much about their cultures, languages, and literally everything because of these social groups, associations, etc. Same is the case with the Gujaratis. Gujaratis have traditionally been involved in business and have often their business dealings have brought them to the USA. Gujaratis are among the more prosperous communities in India, having all the means to travel abroad. Just like the Tamilians and Telugu people, Gujaratis also have their own associations and social gatherings.Karnataka and Maharashtra share many similarities between them. I have written in detail about what these similarities and why do these similarities exist in some of my other answers. You can refer to them.Aditya Kulkarni's answer to What are the cultural similarities between Maharashtra and Karnataka?Aditya Kulkarni's answer to Why do the Maharashtra and Karnataka cultures match so much?Aditya Kulkarni's answer to Was Maharashtra a Kannada speaking land before and was it ruled by Kannadigas?Basically Kannadigas and Maharashtrians are very much similar. Although Karnataka is considered to be a part of South India, the similarities it has with Maharashtra are far more than those with Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The similarities between Karnataka and Kerala, and Karnataka and Tamil Nadu is restricted to the border areas. But it is not the case with Maharashtra. There are way too many similarities between the two.As Gopalkrishna Vishwanath sir has correctly mentioned, the migration tendency in Kannadigas and Maharashtrians is very less. Even in case of migration, there is migration only between these two states! Many Kannadigas have migrated to Maharashtra and many Maharashtrians have migrated to Karnataka. This has happened regularly across centuries. There are several reasons for less migration in both these states. Both these states have excellent higher education systems (at least better than most other states). Karnataka and Maharashtra have the most number of medical colleges in India. When it comes to medical education, no other state even comes close to the number of seats that are available in these two states. Apart from these, engineering, arts, science, and commerce colleges are also there in large numbers. Both the states are very much industrialized and have cities that actually attract people from all over India. Maharashtra has Mumbai and Pune. Mumbai has been the city of dreams for decades now. Pune is quickly emerging as the next big city in India and is the only city that can compete with Bengaluru in weather category. In Karnataka, Bengaluru has greatly benefited from the IT boom and now from the startup boom. With Bengaluru, Pune, and Mumbai providing so many opportunities, there is absolutely no reason for migration. The concept of family is quite strong in both states. I have seen this a lot. Although India as a whole is very family oriented but I have seen this very much predominantly in Kannadigas and Maharashtrians.Regarding these communities in the USA, well unlike the Gujaratis, Telugu people, and Tamilians. The migration of Kannadigas and Maharashtrians has been somewhat recent. Only after the IT boom has this migration started. Nowadays, Kannadigas and Maharashtrians often prefer to go to the USA to get some global exposure or probably sometimes because they are denied seats in elite institutions in India because of some reason or the other (reservation, more competition, management quota). If you compare the two communities, the number of Kannadigas is slightly more than that of Maharashtrians. Kannadigas have also formed an association known as AKKA (Association of all Kannada Kootas of America). Although this group is not large as the Telugu or Tamil ones, it has quite a few members who organize literary and cultural festivals regularly and even the representatives of the Karnataka government and Kannada film industry have participated in such events. I had previously thought that there was no Marathi association in the USA but after seeing Shilpa Vijay’s comment on GV sir’s answer, I realized that there is now an association for Marathis as well known as Bruhan Maharasthra Mandal of North America. Thanks for that Shilpa. Good to know this fact.Well Kannadigas are generally very low profile and are easily the least known among all the major South Indian communities as illustrated by one of the questions on Quora. Why are the Kannadigas the least known among South Indians?Kannadigas and Maharashtrians are generally multilingual too. They can mingle with and speak with literally anyone in India in their own language itself. This flexible nature of Kannadigas and Maharashtrians is the reason why Mumbai and Bengaluru are the two most cosmopolitan cities in India and the two cities where most Indians dream of living in. Being multilingual, people might not realize our identities. For instance, I myself know 5 languages. Kannada is my mother tongue but I can speak English, Hindi, Marathi, and some basic Sanskrit as well :D These are some of the reasons I feel why Kannadigas and Maharashtrians are not present in significant numbers in the USA and even if they are there, it is tough to identify a Kannadiga or a Maharashtrian because they are generally multilingual.

I needed a simple document signing software that I could use to send customized agreements to my subscribers that would not be very expensive on a shoestring budget. CocoDoc checked all the boxes. When I signed up, there was an easy to understand video tutorial that showed me how to send out my agreements. I'm also pleased with the payment frequency. CocoDoc has a pay as you go plan which allows me to be in the position to only pay when I send out an agreement. This way I can customize my agreements and only pay once one of my paying customers requests an agreement. And it legally binding in the USA for my company's needs!
