The class and exam were both fairly easy for me, since I tended to overstudy out of interest in the material.AP Government and Politics (Score: 5, Difficulty: 5/10): The course itself required a lot of work, but was easy to get a good grade in. We completed a lot of video and group projects, which took quite a bit of time to complete, but acted as major grade boosters. The multiple choice exams were very difficult, since they tested material outside of the textbook. However, there were many extra credit opportunities. Overall, the exam was predictable and much less comprehensive than the course content.AP English Language and Composition (Score: 5, Difficulty: 4/10): This class was dependent on the analysis of rhetorical strategies, which I found easier than the literary analysis that my previous classes were based upon. It took a while to adjust to the style of the essays the exam required, but I learned many practical rhetoric skills. On the exam, I felt prepared for the essay prompts, but found the timing difficult.AP Calculus BC (Score: 5, Difficulty: 7/10): Math is not my strongest subject, but this class taught me how to study for math properly. Lectures in class were not very helpful, so I relied mostly on self-studying to learn the content. I learned how to look for problem types and solve accordingly. It took lots of time and practice for me to understand the concepts. The curve on this exam is very generous.AP Latin (Score: 5, Difficulty: 8/10): The content was very difficult. Latin grammar is very complicated, and there are a lot of rules to learn before you can translate. On top of that, I had to memorize an extensive amount of vocabulary specific to Caesar and Virgil. The exam itself was also very difficult, and I was surprised I got a 5.Senior Year:Six AP courses + senioritis = a major struggle.AP Physics C (Score: 5, Difficulty: 9/10): This course was the hardest one I have ever taken. I took honors physics last year instead of AP Physics 1, so I started off the year behind already. After kinematics and dynamics, I started to struggle with the concepts. I did not figure out an effective way to learn and study physics until two months before the exam, when I started picking up on problem-solving strategies. I felt decently prepared going into the exam.AP Psychology (Score: 5, Difficulty: 2/10): Like chemistry, I really enjoyed the content of this class. Reading the textbook was like reading nonfiction for fun. Concepts were easy to pick up, since most of them were applicable to behavioral phenomena in the real world. The exam was very straightforward and reflected the content of the course well.AP English Literature and Composition (Score: 4, Difficulty: 8/10): Literature is not my strong suit, so I struggled with both the class and the exam. I saved my assignments for this class for last, dreading the essays. Such essays took me extremely long to write, since it is difficult for me to analyze literature. How should I self-study to get a 5 in AP Statistics (I have not started preparing)?
I’m currently in AP statistics as well. Getting a 5 is tough, but I would say practice is the key. The more practice problems you do the better you will be once Test day come. One thing my teacher does is he gives us practice problems from the AP statistics test bank. Our tests consist of questions from the past AP exams. 10 questions and 2 free response questions. So, I would say that every test you take look at the ones you got wrong and figure out how to fix those weaknesses. Also, I would recommend taking practice AP test over the material you have learned so far to see what’s your weaknesses. Watch khan Academy and YouTube basically just study. The more practice, and studying you do the better you will be when the test come. Maybe you can get an 5 but it’s tough.

You will definitely need to put some effort into studying in order to pass the test and get good grades in the class.Here are some useful tips based on my experience in the class this past year.Stay on track with every topic that is covered in class. I recommend buying a review book, preferably Barron’s. Use this review book as a supplement to your everyday class lectures and for the quizzes that are available at the end of every chapter.Start studying 1–2 months before the exam. Take a timed practice test before studying to find out your base score. Grade your test, find out your weaknesses, and study up on those topics. This saves you a lot of time so you can study for other AP tests or focus on your weak areas.I cannot stress this enough, go to the College Board website and find the released free response questions (FRQ) for the past 15-ish years. They really help you get used to the test format and question styles.Lastly, don't be afraid to seek help from your teacher or your classmates, who may do a better job explaining the concept to you than your teacher (in my experience).These tips will not only let you do well in the class, but get you a high score for the AP test.Don't worry. You'll do great!
