Which one is better Edx, Coursera, Udacity, Linkedin learning, or Lynda according to your experience?

To preface a little regarding the experience I have with the mentioned, I’ve taken Harvard’s CS50 on edX, quite a number of Lynda courses (mostly Python courses & I’m a premium subscriber) and I’ll be completing the Udacity iOS ND in 2 weeks. My experience with edX was great, I learned a ton from the CS50 course. When I took CS50 a couple of years ago I had minimal programming experience, I have to say the I absolutely love the way Professor David Malan and the TA’s of the class teaches the material. The programming concepts are delivered to students with detailed and concise explanations and examples, I find myself understanding them rather effortlessly. However, the problem I sort of have is with the programming assignments. I like the fact that it is evaluated and graded but I find it (for me at least) a little too challenging. There are a couple of assignment where I find myself completely stump and referring to the lecture and the course notes were not really much help, still after scouring and asking on sites like StackOverflow I manage to complete them. That being said, I love the class material, the instructors and despite the assignments can be challenging and frustrating at times, the experience was great, I can tell why its one of the most popular courses online. Please note that I only took one course on edX, I’m uncertain if all the courses are thought the same way or they are tailored by the institutions that create the course. My experience with Lynda on the other hand was somewhat mediocre. I took some Python, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Java and a couple of analytic courses on Lynda. I personally find most of Lynda’s courses aren’t exactly the most effective for me because the instructors rarely go in-depth with the material. For example, in the Learning Django course, the course teaches you how to build a Django web-application as well as introduces you to concepts such as implementing templates, views and etc. It’s all very insightful but we all know, to properly understand programming we need to actually program. The exercises provided are practically completed. Important stuff such as importing libs, declaring the function/object are all completed by the instructor, there isn’t much to do except alter a couple of lines of code to maybe change the content of the example. I find Lynda is a great place to reinforce what you already know. As for novices looking to learn a new skill, there are better options out there. As for Udacity, the experience was beyond astounding. I took their iOS Nanodegree and within two months, I’ve learned an immeasurable amount of iOS programming concepts and have actually implemented them by developing iOS applications. The course materials are extremely succinct and the instructors delivers it incredibly well. The one to one mentorship is a great feature. My mentor Loreto, checks up on my progress at the end of every week and would answer any questions I have regarding the course material. Not to mention the amazing Udacity forum, my questions are usually answered within 24 hours. It’s great knowing someone is always there to help. On top of that, the programming assignments are graded and is assessed line by line with detailed explanations of what went wrong. The projects are immensely fun and challenging. For once I don’t feel like I’m working on some generic product. The projects are tailored accordingly to provide a feel of working on iOS projects in the real world. The career mentorship program is also great. They help with your resume, validation of skills and ultimately try their best to help you get a job.But alas, every rose has its thorns. The cost for the Udacity ND is definitely on the pricier side of the spectrum. Moreover I find that you need to be prepared to utterly commit to the workload. To wrap this up, if you’re financially strong, I highly recommend Udacity, I personally feel what you get out of the course outweighs the cost. If you’re on a budget, go for edX. The certificate of completion would only cost a maximum of $90 (If I remembered correctly!). Finally, if you already have prior experience to a certain skill, let’s say Java and you’re looking for a place to reinforce or get a slight input on a new concept, Lynda is the one to go.

What should I do to get 200+ in the JEE Main paper 2 in the last 2 months?

Thanks for the A2A!This is going to be a little long, and has no pictures, so hang on to your seats. What you Should Have Done:You should have done the complete syllabus atleast once. You should be comfortable with all the formulae in Maths and Physics (Trigonometry, Integration, Electric Field and Potential, Gravitation and other chapters). They should be AT YOUR FINGERTIPS.If you have not done the formulae, create a chart, ask someone to quiz you, write them again and again, do problems involving them, whatever works for you. But do them. What you Should be Doing:Divide your study time in the approximate ratio of 50: 30 : 2050 : For solving problems. When you solve problems, make a target of solving a set number of questions in a given time. Do them in an exam-like environment. I would suggest you to take an average of 2 minutes per problem, instead of the usual 2.4, because accounting for exam pressure, distractions, that is how much you are going to get.30 : For doubts in the problems you solved. After attempting the problems once, go through the problems that were unsolved or you got wrong. Try them again. This helps you to think of new avenues while solving problems. After trying, look at the solution. If you look at the solution before trying, you will not understand the “how” of the solution, but not the “why" (as in why did we do this step in the solution). After attempting the problem and looking at the solution, before moving on think why you could not solve the problem. (Lack of knowledge, Could not think of a specific step, Could no understand the question, Lack of time, etc.) Jot it down near the problem. In the end, analyse the reasons you could not solve the unsolved problems.20 : For filling the gaps in concepts. Look up the concepts of the problems that you could not solve in the previous step. Revise if you have forgotten. Remember the formulae if any. This is just a general template, you should increase or decrease the percentage of time as you see fit.For questions, do the previous year questions of JEE Mains. Learn to take the full advantage of partial marking. If you have already done the previous year questions, do the full JEE Paper of a specific year and try to score full marks (after all you have done the questions before). This will make you realize that there are still some chinks in your armour. Work on them again. After this, if you have some coaching material, or some specific crash course material, for Mains, do it.AcadBoost also offers Crash Course Material, so you can look into it.But I will tell you a secret — It does not really matter from where you do the questions, as long as they are of standard. What matters is your work ethic, how well you know your strengths and weaknesses and your fluency in easy problems and…Temperament :The most important aspect of your JEE Preparation is going to be your temperament. Think of it as staying calm, composed and keeping your wits about under pressure. This can make or break your exam.JEE is not only a test of knowledge and application, it is also a test of how you handle pressure.Temperament is difficult to explain and even more difficult to develop but if worked upon, can do wonders.Think for a while that you are setting the JEE Paper. How will you set the questions? Personally,Easy, but long and calculative question (So, time gets wasted)Difficult question but doable with a trickMedium QuestionExtremely Difficult question(meant to be left)Medium question, but with chances of forgetting something and ticking the wrong answerEasy question (so that those who mismanage time are at a disadvantage)So, if one gets disheartened by the difficult questions, or wastes a lot of time on the calculative questions, he/she will be at a disadvantage in the easy questions. The ability to deal with this is temperament. This can only come with repeated practice under time pressure. This is exactly why setting a timer is important. This answer was not to tell you what books or what questions to do, it was how to do them. The question is —Will you?
