But, SJSU's expectations are growing and so are its demand for a better score in GRE after recently being into media for being ranked as the number 1 university in the west for silicon valley job providers.That being said, your academic scores and performance are not the only criteria which would land you the admission. Though your scores are competitive, admission decision makers takes into account your Statement of purpose (SOP) which should clearly indicate why you would want to do MS program at that particular university and not somewhere else. Strong letters of recommendations from your employers or past professors would add to your profile.With that information being delivered to you, I feel you should go ahead and apply with a strong SOP and atleast 3 recommendation letters.P.S. SJSU prefers CS undergrad students for MS in CS. If you don't have that, you would want to apply for MS in SE (Software Engineering) or MS in CMPE (Computer Engineering).P.P.S. Being a SJSU student, this answer might be a little biased towards SJSU.

If your GPA, college entrance exams, letters of recommendation, volunteer hours, and other necessary qualifications are in place, then it shouldn't be a huge issue. My recommendation is to address the suspension in your 'Personal Statement' essay, which is typically required by most colleges in their application packet. Be honest, say what happened, but most importantly, what you learned from your mistake. Don't focus the whole paper on it, of course, but it's better to address it up front. You never know, it may actually make your paper stand out from the rest...in a positive way. Believe me, I had to read 100s of statements papers and college applications. A paper that grabs the reader attention and has a "Lesson Learned" in it is much more compelling than one that waxes on about being the 4.0 class president, yada yada.
