They believe God can heal any kind of diseases (I still don’t know, then why God created doctors).I advised aunt and X to visit doctor as early as possible, but here come a b**** aunty (In the end you will understand, why I called her like that. Believe me she deserves that)Aunty (To X): So you are going to visit doctor? (Asked in sarcastic tone)X: Yes, mom is suffering and the pain is getting severe.Aunty: This is your time of persistence. We will pray.In the end, she some how made X’s mother believe that, it is a sin to go to hospital. X’s mom, even after compelling refused to visit hospital.You must have guessed, what did happened after that. The pain become more vulnerable and at last we managed to convince X’s mother to visit hospital.Doctors asked us to have all sort of tests and the result, X’s mother was suffering from CANCER (LAST STAGE).We were shocked. X began to sob uncontrollably and I can’t resist myself seeing tears in his eyes.Later doctor told us, that kind of cancer is really treatable. If she could have come earlier, high probability is there she might be living now.Of course, she died in a month or two.You know what that Aunty told in the funeral. “At last our sister (X’s mother) fought her battle victoriously with out going to hospital”I wished, I’ll kill her at that time.Only I know how X suffered after that in his life. Thank God, now he is married, working as professor and is having a beautiful kid.(Note: These were man made customs and nowhere it was mentioned in Bible to follow like that. These kind of stupid practices are still being followed in many churches. After that incident, I never visited that church again. I am still a Christian, but never I subject myself to the stupid superstitious belief.)
