PDF Editor FAQ

Why would someone immigrate to the US over to Europe?

It all depends on your perspective on life, your lifestyle, your choice of social environment, your personal tastes, your outlook on the future, your political and ideological views, climate preference, etc.America and Canada both tend to be the worker and businessman’s paradise. If you have money and know how to make money and want to make alot of money, these are the countries for you.If you want to raise a family without having to worry about a social safety net that much, Canada is your better bet, especially if you have older people in your family that get sick often and need free healthcare and prescription medication programs.Otherwise, if you know how to make lots of money, America is the better option. Taxes in Canada are high(close to 50 percent when you factor all the different types of taxes in) and the business climate isn’t as expansive. You will have more competition in America, yes, but you also have access to a larger market and more customers.Negative reviews alone can make or break a business in Canada, and it tends to be a monopoly from the perspective of certain business associations. There are a lot of bureaucratic obstacles on top of everything when it comes to running a business in Canada.Canada is better if you plan on running a service based company or are planning on exploiting natural resources, especially forestry and fishing. Canada has nearly an unlimited supply of lumber and nearly 3 million lakes. The problem with Canada is it’s cold. It’s a good country if you are asocial or anti social and quiet, shy, and like to keep to yourself. Rest assured you will never have any problems if you mind your own business. Canadians tend to keep to themselves, and are not very friendly or outgoing. Canada is a country of introverts. The mentality in Canada can be very small town, so you won’t necessarily feel that “big city” atmosphere, even if you are living in Toronto, as the people tend to have this village style mentality that you wouldn’t expect in a civilized country, a “big city” mentality you’d find in places like Paris, London or New York City, with people of that high caliber.9 months of winter and 3 months of summer is a big put off too, so if you’re an outdoor person who enjoys warm weather, then Canada is not for you. I personally spend most of my time indoors in Canada, and you get used to it during the longer winter months that the habit carries on into the summer months for me as well, so I rarely see sunshine in Canada. I can completely break this habit if I travel to another country though, even the US.Rarely anybody goes outside in Canada, so if you’re used to having a charshija, bazaar, or boardwalk type environment, that you’d find in the Middle East or southern Europe, with huge sidewalks with lots of cafes, shops and restaurants, you are not going to find it in Canada. The US is easier on the social life, there is alot more to do and alot more to see and a dream come true if you are a consumerist who likes to buy lots of stuff. Otherwise everywhere you go in the US tends to be a copy paste of everywhere else, and the only cities that tend to stick out are Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Miami, New York, Chicago and Washington DC.Everything else is a generic North American template of a city. It’s so generic, if you were on a bus or a train taking you across the country, or in somebody’s car, if you fell asleep in one city and woke up in the next, you would not know where you are until you saw a sign or somebody told you where you were. That is also the case with Canada. Everything tends to look the same. So if you want interesting looking cities, varied architecture, streets with their own personality and atmosphere, then Europe is for you.The problem with Europe is it’s overcrowded. The EU is half the size of the US or Canada and has more people than these two countries combined. So if you plan on living 300 years, and care about your grandchildren’s future, then the US or Canada seem like the better option.Schooling in Europe is alot better than in Canada or the US. Primary school for me in Canada was a hellish experience, and it’s even worse in the US. Kids in Europe seem to be more realistic and tolerant towards their peers. I used to get bullied all the time in school in Canada, and I went to 12 different schools, and it’s not bullied because I was weak, but because the kids gang up on you, they don’t want you as their friend, for no reason whatsoever, and they don’t make any effort to get to know you. This culture tends to carry on into adulthood in Canada and the US, except people become alot more polite on the surface to strangers. But the whole premise is still the same, and making enemies for no reason is easier than working hard to make friends, just because of how selfish and hawkish people are.Europeans are more chauvinistic and nationalistic, but they are also more human than Canadians and Americans.Everything in Europe is smaller than in the US or Canada, except houses. Houses in Europe, especially south Europe, tend to be huge. My house in Macedonia is 7 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, with 1 balcony, 2 terraces, a garage and a basement, about 350 sq meters in total, or about 3700 sq feet, plus a small backyard. If you were to rent a house like that in Macedonia, it would cost you about 300 Euros a month, tops, or about $450 Canadian dollars per month. My apartment in Canada is 3 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms and 150 sq meters, and we pay $1500 a month for rent and parking. And it’s 70 km away from the center of Toronto, but we are close to the lake.Relationships in America and Canada tend to be more short term and easier for sex. It is easier to get laid in America than it is in Canada, but at the same time the drinking age is lower in Canada(19) than in the US(21). In Canada there is a monopoly on alcohol, meaning you can only buy it at government owned stores, and cigarettes are only sold at convenience stores and gas stations, whereas in America you can buy alcohol and cigarettes anywhere from supermarkets to pharmacies. You can touch the strippers in Canada. In the US, you can’t.Americans tend to be more open minded, and Canadians are more narrow minded, in terms of what is socially acceptable. I can get the police called on me in Canada just for walking around, and because I was suspicious in somebody’s head, because I’m an immigrant with a different mentality and when I walk around normally it’s different than white Anglosaxon Canadians, and to them that’s not okay and the police will actually come and harass you for walking around. In America, there is a much higher diversity of people and people are much used to seeing all kinds of different people, so you are less likely to be suspicious to somebody just by being yourself. In Europe this rule is even greater, and the rule of the police isn’t that much of a problem in terms of social settings than it is in America or Canada. It doesn’t dictate social freedom as much as it does in Canada or the US.Alot of places in Europe offer free education on top of free healthcare - such as France of Germany, while others are more Capitalistic, like the UK.Europe is alot more expensive than the US, somewhat similar to Canada overall, but there are places in Europe that are dirt cheap. If we’re talking places like France, Germany and the UK, they tend to be similar to Canada with their prices. If we’re talking places like Italy, Spain, Ireland and Poland, they tend to be somewhat more like America. If we’re talking about Switzerland, Croatia or Greece, those places are as expensive as living in New York City or California. The up side to Canada and the US is that the speak English overall. Canada is mostly empty, and it’s boring. If you like having a boring, meaningless, eventless life with no excitement and no emotions, then Canada is the place to live. Some places that are REALLY boring, even more so than Toronto, such as Manitoba and Alberta, are willing to pay families $20,000 just to live there for 5 years, and you don’t have to pay back that money. There is no need to learn another language, unless you want to work for the government, then you’ll need to know French(for Canada) or Spanish(for the US).If you want varying climates but no healthcare coverage provided free by the government and expensive tuition, and are a business oriented person who wants to have his own business but not be an employee because there are no worker’s rights in the US, then the US is the place for you.If you love snow and freezing temperatures and a vast ocean of coniferous trees, and cities that look like better kept, but weird shuffled around version of American cities in HD, with somewhat of a social safety net, easy to obtain minimum wage part time jobs but hard to find full time jobs, need to get a lawyer to get social welfare, and small jail sentences(because there is a 30 percent chance you will be arrested for being yourself in Canada, and 10 percent chance you will be convicted, the same in the US, but jail sentences are much higher), then Canada is for you. In Canada if you immigrate, you can apply to become a permanent resident right away, but in the US you have to wait 10 years. If you are an artistic soul who doesn’t need anything to be perfect, and would rather live amongst cultured people, and would not mind learning multiple languages, then Europe is for you.Europeans are smarter than Americans or Canadians by a huge margin as the general population, and are more conscious about their surroundings, but tend to be more harsh if you get on the wrong foot with them, but won’t kill your or rape you or burn your house down or do anything fatalistic.Americans and Canadians tend to be more polite and humanistic on the surface than Europeans, but not on the inside. They are not very clever, meaning they won’t torture you if you step on the wrong toes, and play mind games with you, the way Europeans would. They are very direct and tend to get offended very easily, and will kill you, rape you or burn your house down, or set you up for the police, or make you lose your job or kick you out on the street, and are alot more fatalistic, hence why the rest of the world as well as immigrants that live here tend to call them “retards”, because what they do is not rational and can only attract a vicious response in return.Europeans tend to be level headed, so if they do something bad to you, it is within reasonable limits. Americans and Canadians are cowboys and will kill you for no reason, and your family, acting first without thinking, and then regret it later on when you kill them or somebody of yours kills one of theirs or they go to prison for murder, and then they’ll apologize. If Europeans do something that fatalistic, they will never apologize as they are very conscious of their surroundings.Americans and Canadians have a greater conscience than Europeans, that’s why they push that “we’re all equal agenda”. Even though Europe has accomplished much in the way of cultural sensitivity training and diversity through the EU over the past 20 years, and newer generations are more tolerant to outsiders, Europeans are alot more nationalist and racist than Americans and Canadians on the surface, but Americans and Canadians are alot more nationalist and racist on the inside, meaning they won’t show it directly but will show it through their actions or inactions.I love the fact that everybody minds their own business in Canada and the US, meaning I can think for myself without anybody interrupting me. If you are an independent person, Canada and the US are for you. If you are more of a Communist or Socialist or somebody who prefers being around other people and depending on them and them depending on you, then Europe is your best bet, because Europe is more collectivist than Canada or the US.But in the future, regardless of the potential of Canada and the US for growth, the reality is that if you have lots of potential, you are better off in the EU or Asia in the business, science and financial world than you are in Canada or the US.Canada and the US are good for people that don’t mind taking risks, like career criminals. You can make alot of money in the US and Canada doing shady things, and alot of people do shady things like it’s normal, because there is no way in 2018 in Canada and the US to get rich the legitimate way, due to how the socio-economic system is structured. It is easier to become a multi millionaire in China in 2018 if you are intelligent and want to prove your worth, than it is in Canada or the US. Canadian and US employers will only exploit you.I have so much knowledge, am capable of doing so many different types of jobs, and am flexible, and have so much to prove, but all of my potential is pointless due to the fact that Canadian employers are extremely selfish, short term thinking and narrow minded. They would rather exploit me doing a menial job for small money than give me a good job where I can do great things. They would rather you work a repetitive job and don’t care if you are a genius. In America, they spend alot more money to get the quality they want, but you will tick them off and they will run you out of the business if you can’t do the job you say you can do. Americans like to spend money. Canadians are cheap. Europeans and Asians are more strategic, and Europeans are short term thinkers like Canadians and Americans while Asians are long term thinkers.Europeans can rebound back and are good with utilizing their system and exploiting it, while Canadians and Americans tend to be very restricted in their mindsets and have trouble adapting to new environments and new people, so they force others to adept to them.Europeans are impulsive, so they tend to screw things up, while Asians are patient, the reason why they have the ultimate mindset for long term economic and social prosperity. I’ve seen groups of Chinese people posing as tourists in Toronto taking pictures, so they can take the best ideas and take them back to China.China created versions of European cities, like Paris. They take the best from other countries and throw out all the garbage. To them what’s wrong with Canadian or American society shouldn’t be just a debate, with no possible change in sight, but an actual realization that needs to be changed or avoided ASAP.So they take the best of Western society and incorporate it into their own country, while making sure the garbage is kept out. Americans and Canadians tend to ignore the garbage or pretend it’s not there, and decide not to do anything about it and live in the garbage instead of throwing it out, just because it’s easier and cheaper to do so.I like the wide open roads in Canada and the US. Traffic regulation is horrible in Canada, though, especially the Toronto area.
