Due to this no. Of applicants for spot rounds of JMI decrease drastically that you can't even imagine as they also ask very late on website that you want to apply for spot round or not (around September) and don't inform student about it as they expect from the student to check website regularly till september and register for spot round, due to this again many students can't able to apply for spot round even they have filled application for counselling and after all this, spot rounds also start very late around mid September and goes till end of October, as they keep on publishing list of students who applied for spot round without even informing them and give them only one specific day to come and take the seat, if student can't able to come due to any reason, then they loose their seat and this thing keep on repeating, list after list, which you can see in the drastic jumps of cut off rank in every spot round list. They release it in a time span of about a week and keep on repeating this process, due to such delays cutoff drastically goes down. These are some major reason for JMI to have lower cutoff than old NITs but never mind things are improving and administration would surely tackle all these problems which would be reflected in JMI B-Tech Cutoff.Have a nice day 😊 !
