WITHOUT my permission, this loser downloaded and shared "traditional looking" pics with his parents because they are very conservative and I dress like a big city girl. This had to change after marriage, apparently.2. "I'm looking to settle down in the next 3 months". When I mentioned that we had a demise in the family- my grandmother (some Hindus do not have any auspicious occasions for a year after an elder's demise, as a mark of respect), the guy's understanding response was, "But it doesn't matter on the girl's side. She is anyway being given away to a different family". Thanks buddy, for calling the shots on what matters and what doesn't, so early on. My family doesn't matter but of course they have to host and bear the expenses of the wedding.3. "Girl should be obedient and soft spoken". Outright. The fact that people can openly and shamelessly demand that the girl be submissive, and that nobody even looks at this as untoward and wrong, tells us a LOT about where exactly in the middle ages our society is stuck.4. "Brahmins only. Dark complexion please excuse". I thought this might even be a troll!5. "Girl should be willing to work outside but must be homely and simple".6. "Our son already has one offer but he is looking for more ideal matches". Offer? Well, I certainly don't want YOUR package, thank you very much.The worst part is, my parents don't actually think some of these are unreasonable demands. It's the most disappointing of all, tbh.

In order to have the Earth rotate below you, you would have to first launch above the atmosphere, perform a second burn to cancel out Earth’s rotational speed, and then again once you reached your destination. What you are proposing though is very similar to what SpaceX is proposing Starship could be used for, which is site to site transportation here on Earth, which could connect any two points on the globe with a travel time of about 30 minutes.
