Paul introduced them and George played Raunchy but John wasn't having a 14 year old in his band, after a while he relented some and allowed George to fill in on certain gigs. After Paul froze on his first lead guitar solo he again asked John about George pointing out he was 15 when he joined. George had recently turned 15 and John desperately needed real musicians in his band and Paul and George represented that. George joined. So there ya have it. Paul taught John his first real guitar chords and how to tune it, from there they learned together just as Paul and George had been doing for a few years.
