As you have not mentioned anything about your studies, like do want continue with your studies and simultaneously play cricket or you just want to be a professional cricketer. So I'll tell you both the options….If you want to make cricket as your profession and if cricket is only your whole and sole then join a good cricket academy. GOOD academy doesn't always mean it should be from professional cricketers academy or any academy which has high fees. If you really want your cricket to improve day by day join a academy where there are less students approximately 50 to 60. So that your coach focusses on your game this will really help you to up your game. Also check that the academy participates in various tournaments, that will be your real time experience of a match.2. If want to continue with your studies and also play cricket side by side then you need to get into your college or university team. Practice with your team and show your performance you'll be picked up for university team selection this way you step by step climb up the ladder like state or zonal teams.Same goes with the first option if your performance is good you go further for district level then state and national…Also the most important thing is you practice hard and don't let your failure puncture your dream of becoming a cricketer. Just as BCCI for India so KSCA for Karnataka.Answer to your exact question,If you are a district level player in karnataka then you are a KSCA playerIf you are a Zonal level player in karnataka then you are a KSCA playerIf you are a state/Ranjhi level player in karnataka then you are a KSCA playerIf you are a 5th or 4th or 3rd or 2nd or 1st division player then you are a KSCA player.why? because ALL these tournaments are conducted by KSCA.I am assuming that you haven't haven’t played any KSCA tournaments yet and you want to start now..So, I will answer to a question which will probably stem in your mind now..That ishow do you play KSCA tournaments and reach state level atleast..right?There are two ways how you can reach state level..Approach 1:Conventional way:Join any good academy and perform consistently well in the nets and matches of your academy, and at one point your coach will suggest you to give trials for district level.Then based on your performance in the district level and subsequent selections you will be promoted to zonal levelThen Karnataka state level or ZCAThen Ranjhi level or NCAAPPROACH 2:leagues:unlike many states, Karnataka provides wide range of platforms to showcase your talent…Highly deemed and prominent leagues are division level tournaments, which are conducted by KSCA.. you will start with the basic division i..e. 5th division, and you will be promoted step by step depending upon your performance and skill level..How to play 5th division?(Join any good academy and perform consistently well in the nets and practice matches of your academy, and your coach will shortlist you for his own 5th division club)Following is the ascending order of the levels of divisions and it's corresponding levels and kinds of players that you will find5th division- Academy level players and all district level players4th division- quite competitive, Highly talented District level players3rd division- Zonal level and a few state level players2nd division-State level players, and a few KPL(Karnataka Premier League) players1st division- International players from Karnataka, Ranjhi players,KPL players and a few top class state level players.How the second approach helps you in the career:1)Your performance in these division matches will add your chances of getting selected for be it district, Zonal or state level2)Top Second division and First division players are auctioned in KPL.Once you get into KPL, you are well recognized and you are good to go ahead.If you are under19, then there are plethora of tournaments and leagues..your coach will guide you.
