The storyline is godly. Being a prequel, they had to fit the storyline of Arthur Morgan into the already great storyline of RDR1. Every action he performed was pondered multiple times over and over again.Now, take a couple of seconds to process all this.Ready? OK, here we go again.Here are some of the tiniest details in Red Dead, that Rockstar did not, I repeat, did not have to include to make a great game, and yet they did.Horses’ privates shrink or expand depending on the temperature. (I won’t include a picture for purity’s sake.)Arrows quiver when striking something.Hair and facial hair will grow.You can lose or gain too much weight.If Arthur is dirty, people will comment about your hygiene.Weapons will get clogged up if wet.The AIs are smart — their attitudes will change depending on how you treat them, they will loot bodies, etc.Footprints differ based on leg width, foot size, etc.If you get, say, an ax, stuck in a tree, you can shoot the branch and it will fall down. In fact, if one were to actually – well - look at the Rotten Tomatoes page for each film, one would see that – clearly posted – the average rating, from those critics, for The Dark Knight is higher than their average rating for Black Panther. The Dark Knight has an average rating of 8.6 and Black Panther has an average rating of 8.2.So, the Rotten Tomatoes website quite clearly tells us that while a higher percentage of critics have given Black Panther a positive review, on average, the critics had a deeper appreciation for The Dark Knight - invalidating the premise of the question.That said, comparing the scores of these films, or any films separated by time is silly. Audiences and critics expect more and require more to be impressed.As for whether Black Panther is objectively better than The Dark Knight, I would have to reply “better at what?”Does The Dark Knight make a firm stand that superhero films can be deep and ask serious questions? Yes. Does it do that better than Black Panther? Yes. Does Black Panther do a better job at world-building than The Dark Knight? Yes, it does. Does Black Panther serve a greater social need than The Dark Knight? Yes, it does. Is Black Panther better written than The Dark Knight?
