I've met plenty of unemployed engineers and medical professionals working in kiosks and driving cabs, some of them brought to Denmark by a specific green card policy designed to attract people with just those skills. The people with the skills arrived, but there were no jobs awaiting them.EDIT: The above answer is directed mostly at people who are not EU or EEA citizens; EU and EEA citizens have it easier with immigration, and are culturally closer to the Danes, which helps. People from the USA, Canada, Australia, China, India, Pakistan, Africa, or any other non-EU and non-EEA country should prepare for a struggle, even if they are married to a Dane.
