PDF Editor FAQ

Why aren’t teenage Quorans getting popular like they used to?

I’m reading all the other answers to this question. Ethan, Naima, Liam, Seungjin, you’ve all done a great job, but I’m still unsatisfied, and I feel like a deeper dive is necessary to get to the root of this question. Be warned, this is a long read.Firstly, we have to define the issue at hand here. Are teens getting popular and gaining viewership on Quora, and are they doing so at a rate similar to years past? The answer to the first part of the question would be yes. The answer to the second part is a little trickier to answer. As John Oh has eloquently defined, there are broadly two groups of teenagers on Quora:The teenagers who write like teenagers. The teenagers who write in other topics.Wait, let’s stop for a minute. What is “writing like a teenager” defined as, and what is the contrast between “teenage writing” and “other writing” on this platform? To do this, we need to go back into the history of teenagers on Quora.I. The Early History of Teenage Writers on QuoraEver since Quora was first founded in 2009, there have always been some teenagers on the site. In the beginning, because Quora was a small platform just starting up, the purpose and focus of the site stayed very tight. As stated by Adam D’Angelo, the founder of Quora, at the end of 2012:Quora's mission is to share and grow the world's knowledge…We hope to become an internet-scale Library of Alexandria, a place where hundreds of millions of people go to learn about anything and share everything they know. To do that we are going to have to expand. Today Quora is largely questions and answers, but that is not the ideal format for all knowledge. Other formats will gradually be added as we scale up.Our MissionAbove: Quora CEO Adam D’Angelo. For years, Quora was just used for informative content. Almost everyone who visited or frequented the site as a reader or writer did so to share knowledge and information with one another. Most people had their niches for answering questions and stuck with them. Technical information, advice on job searching, diatribes on philosophy and history, stuff like that. All of this can be found on today’s Quora in spades, but back in those days, the range of topics, especially non-informative/technical, to choose from was more limited due to a smaller overall base of users. The large communities and social aspects that help define Quora today did not exist. Most people just used the site for answering questions, very few people used the website like a social media, and there was little concern for finding ways to abuse the search algorithm and gain a huge following for its own sake.At this point, survey questions and personas built upon storytelling or comedy did not really exist because the broader audience of casual readers had not yet reached the point it is at today. And even if the demand was there, there was no general desire for upvotes and popularity. It was a more humble time; everyone was there to write about what they knew and teach others new things, not to squabble over views and followers. For most teenagers, this sort of site did not really appeal to them. It was a world of intellectuals and technical information and academic ideas and limited socialization. The fact is that the vast majority of teenagers are not as interested or invested in the sorts of things that early Quorans almost exclusively dealt with. Thus, almost all writers on Quora from about 2009 to ~2016 were adults. The teens that did use Quora were the ones who were interested in more “adult” topics.Well, I shouldn’t say “adult topics,” because no topic is inherently for adults. Teens who frequented the site back in those days could have been writing about any number of topics, but if they gained visibility or credibility, they were always writing in an eloquent and informative style and interacting with primarily adults in a mature and relatively professional way. (Quora professional, as in a lot of shameless sarcastic banter, but still impeccable grammar and a fair dose of clever allusions.)I was not around back in those days, but here are some examples of what the “teen scene” on Quora looked like in 2016, extrapolated from answers to this question: (Who are the most successful teenagers on Quora?)From Rahul Sinha’s answer, posted 13 June 2016:However, here are some names whom I know- Shagun Tyagi, Apurva Sinha, Smit Dagli, Brian Blood, User, User, Brianna Ruffin, Manan Shah, Arjun Mani, Kieran Shah, Dani Maydan and many more. From Brian Blood’s answer, updated 21 May 2016:These two would be Joe Philleo and Dani Maydan, both of which are Top Writers 2016 and great members of the community. I extremely enjoy their answers and suggest you follow them.An honorable mention goes out to Omar Parra who is a great writer, just doesn't get around to it too often. I love his writing as well and think he is a great writer to go and follow.Edit: I have a new addition to my list: User-12883255769412788301. He has absolutely exploded recently. He writes amazing answers that are extremely high quality and has been rewarded with a large number of views and upvotes. He is a great teenager writer out there to explore and hopefully he will be a Top Writer soon. From Gilles Castel’s answer, posted 2 March 2016:I think one of the most successful ≤18 years old on Quora is Paul Olaru. He has more than 1000 followers, and is a Most Viewed Writer in more than 20 topics. He mainly knows about Microsoft, Programming, Physics, Mathematics, Romania, and a lot more! You really should considering following him.People like User-12883255769412788301, Brian Blood, Paul Olaru, Dani Maydan, and Arjun Mani were some of the most visible teen writers. Note that all of them wrote for the sake of informing or because they just wanted to write, and not for the algorithm. Also note that all of them wrote in an eloquent style and did not generally use Quora like a social media, and also that only one of them (Paul Olaru) is still writing actively on Quora today. We’ll come back to that last idea later, but for now, think about these teenagers’ motivations and methods for using Quora.Teenagers are usually busy with socialization, school, playing video games, extracurriculars, or wasting time. In the early days of Quora, unless the teenager in question was especially interested in certain technical or intellectual topics (a relative rarity among modern youth), there would be little reason for a normal teenager to stay invested in Quora as a writer.Teenagers love socializing with people, especially other teenagers like them. Early Quora had no distinct teenage community, so it was difficult to get enough teenagers onto the site to create those communities that could in turn attract more teenagers to the website. Most teen don’t just write for the sake of writing like those early, trailblazing teenage users did, so early Quora was not broadly appealing to the teen demographic. Due to all of this, around this time, there was no “teen community.”So far, we have been dealing only with the Second Type of teen Quora user: the one that writes in other topics and writes in a generally informative style. But now, we transition into the era where the First Type of teen Quoran takes the website by storm.II. The Economy of Teenage Quora and the AlgorithmSo what changed? What created a teenage community on Quora?Well, I’m not really sure, to be honest. I can only say what I know from personal contact with some of the people who helped lead the first large wave of popular teenage Quorans.I suspect that the underlying trends that made that initial explosion possible were building for a while, though there’s no way for me to tell because of my inexperience with search engine tools and data analytics. I’m not sure if Quora releases data like that anyway, so these are just my observations.During 2016, Quora was experiencing a lot of growth. From April 2016 to April 2017, Quora’s monthly users nearly doubled from 100 million to 190 million.[1][1][1][1]As the platform became more and more mainstream, it started showing up in more peoples’ search engine feeds as responses to questions. This happened to bring in not just new adult users, but also new kinds of teenage users. Eventually, by early 2017, there were enough of them on the platform that they began to gain significant traction and spawn a massive wave of teen-oriented content.Three broad groups existed in around the teen community at the time. The prevalent figureheads and representatives of the teen community. The first category contained teens like Ivan Tregear, Dylan MacIntyre, Brooke Schwartz, Ayden Jozwik, Asher Evans, Ivy Gerassimou, Anu Iyer (User-11366763690606675692) and plenty more that I’ve probably forgotten to mention. These users’ legacies, though they fade from memory by the day, still remain. These people were trendsetters, they had unique brands, they defined the milieux. People like Dylan and Asher helped bring mental health and LGBTQ issues into the discussion, Ivy introduced teenage humor presented with charisma and refreshing honesty, Ivan used clever wordplay to find creative loopholes in questions, Brooke, Anu, and others wrote about schooling and the teenage experience from unique cultural perspectives, and of course, Ayden Jozwik took Quora by storm with his hilarious sense of wit and snappy answers. These writers all had tens of thousands of followers and were very visible figures on Quora, consistently getting thousands of upvotes and millions of views. They made connections with each other and with other Quora users, forming communities and facilitating discussion on various topics.Think of this category as the upper class, the nobility, the celebrities and the wealthy. They wrote about various topics all having something to do with teenagers and the teenage experience.Above: Kim Kardashian. Popular teen Quorans were like Kim Kardashian and other celebrities. The mid-tier teens who were moderately popular within teen communities.Aside from all these big names that gained many thousands of followers, there were a lot of mid-level teens that gained moderate levels of popularity. These names were fairly well-known within certain circles in their day, but you’ve probably forgotten them. Matt Zhang, Kieran Tan, Matthew Hsu, Stella Chen, Caroline Plowe, even myself… you had to be there to remember. Honestly, I can’t even remember too many of them. The reason behind why this “middle class” of Quora teens was so forgettable is difficult to ascertain. It was partially because these users were less visible in terms of viewership, but also because their answers and their brand were generally spawned off of those initial trendsetters. It was fairly repetitive and most of the content was an imitation of the big names. For example, with the loophole question trend that Ivan helped create, people like me took advantage and started churning out all sorts of low-quality content in order to gain viewership. When teenagers started getting popular off of writing about their unique experiences, everyone else realized that their experiences were just as unique and hilarious and decided to start doing the same. That was the way to beat the algorithm, to get upvotes and views. These types of answers and activity that are stereotypically associated with teenage Quorans (personal experiences, teenager-style survey questions, loopholes, using Quora like a social media) were fashionable for a time, but like all trends, they were repetitive, and like all trends, they did not stay fashionable forever. This brings us to the third category. The low-level writers/lurkers who are the audience for the other two categories. Most of these people did not have an audience and did not write very often. They were a mix of teenagers and adults who enjoyed the type of content produced by the upper and middle class of teen writers. They provided the views and upvotes and demand for a teen style of using Quora, encouraging big names to keep writing and driving mid-tier users to piggyback off of writing the same type of content.Think of this category as the lower class, the peasants, the farmers, the laborers. The work they do is not visible or very respected, but it is essential. Just as the nobles and middle class would starve without farm labor and society would collapse without basic tasks being done, the popular Quorans cannot exist without an audience to provide demand for their content. Without demand, there is no reason for these writers to produce a supply.Above: Painting of two peasants working to plant a field. This is the role that Quora’s lurkers and readers play in the economy.Overall, teen users from this era had vastly different reasons for being on the site. Rather than being there to inform and converse with primarily adult communities, this new wave of teens preferred to write about their own experiences from their own unique perspectives. After Quora was dominated by informative, adult-oriented content for so long, hearing the voices of today’s young teenagers was a breath of fresh air. These teenagers also loved Quora as a platform that could bring them into social contact with one another; most teens don’t like to write in their free time, which can make finding these connections in real life a tough task. For teens, having a forum where they could all meet one another, forge bonds, help each other out, and hear each other’s voices was a huge reason why so many of them were attracted to the platform once the first few teen writers paved the way. These teens were also some of the first users to treat Quora as a popularity contest. It was all about optimizing your answers to be seen by the algorithm and gaining more numbers to fill up the statsheet. People started counting upvotes and followers and views and obsessing over the numbers more than ever. They would often “sell out,” which in this context means that they sacrificed writing what they enjoyed just to see those big numbers popping up in their feeds. Before proceeding, I will attach a disclaimer: Though I was once intimately connected with the prevailing winds and currents of teenage Quora, I have since distanced myself and moved into more informative writing. I have always kept a bit of my attention on the various waves of teenagers that rise to prevalence on the platform every few months, but I have probably missed a lot. From my observation and from the observation of many others who have been seeing all this change from various perspectives, there has been a noticeable decline in the numbers of popular teen Quorans who “write like teenagers.” If anyone has had a different experience and would like to challenge my characterization, you are free to do so. I have never closed comments and I never will.Though I have been writing in a past tense, I do not mean to say that this is all history. All three of these categories still exist. All three of them, however, are smaller and less visible. The large teenage communities and connections between teen Quorans that used to exist back in 2017 and 2018 have shifted into more disparate and isolated communities. Individual teen writers are still able to succeed and build followings, but in general, all these teenagers are less prevalent and less connected than their equivalents from 2017.What caused this slow but precipitous decline in the popularity of teen-style writing on Quora?III. Nothing Teenager Can StayThe teenage years are a time of great change for developing humans. From ages 13–19, most people’s lives are altered in drastic ways. Priorities are different, interests are different, friends are different, ways of thinking are different, place in life is different, you get the point. From ages 13–19, we learn so much about who we are, what we are passionate about, where we want to be, what we want to do.The 13 year old wants to play video games and slack off in school. The 19 year old is in a top university and pursuing a medical career. The 13 year old is shy and doesn’t talk to many people. The 19 year old is a social butterfly. The 13 year old collects Pokemon cards. The 19 year old collects work experience and advanced analytical skills. The 13 year old thinks about the birthday party next week. The 19 year old thinks about his prospective path through a graduate degree program.I think that this inherent instability and uncertainty in teenagers’ lives is what causes teen Quora users to have such short lifespans on the website.Someone who joined Quora for one reason might not have that same reason to stay on the website in a couple years’ time. Their interest in writing or reading about their brand of content might decrease. They might find another social media platform like Reddit or Tumblr that piques their interest more. They might use the website for the clicks and the views and the popularity, but eventually it no longer gives them satisfaction or validation. A lot of their friends might leave, removing the social aspect that kept them there and leading them to other platforms.Or they might just get banned, which is a fate that seems to befall teen Quorans more than other demographics. Several big names in the past were struck by the ban hammer. A lot of the time, teens don’t conduct themselves in ways that are favorable to the algorithm or to Quora moderation, and sometimes, they’re just targeted by unfortunate reports or trolls.By contrast, a lot of adult Quorans have their shit mostly figured out, have stability in their lives, and are satisfied with their position in life. Unlike teenagers, they’re less likely to get invested for the clicks and more for their own reasons that are less tied to their communities. They conduct themselves in a broadly professional way, leading to far fewer issues with BNBR. Adult Quorans will always be more numerous than teen Quorans, and unlike “teen Quora,” there’s no real cohesiveness between “adult Quorans.” This is because a) there are so many of them, and b) the vastly different paths that adults take in life create so many diverse groups of interest. The unfortunate fact is that teenagers have been on the earth for a shorter time than than adults, so their scope of knowledge and experience is more narrow. This leads to teen-oriented content being more repetitive because a lot of middle-class teens in good schools (usually the types that have the free time to be on Quora) have similar experiences and stories to tell. Not to say that individual teenagers do not have inspiring stories, but on Quora, the teen community was dominated by the same sort of content for months.Understandably, like all trends, this one lost relevance. The popular figureheads left, the audience that wanted this kind of content shrank, and the first wave of teenagers bowed out of the scene. By about mid-2018, the teen Quora scene had faded into the background. Brooke Schwartz was banned, Dylan MacIntyre had left and been exposed as a fake personality, Ivan had exited the scene, Ayden had returned as Damien Christiensen and then gotten bored again.New faces were not coming in to replace those that the platform lost. Even though there were some like Julian Frank, Dylan Owens, Lindsay Elizabeth, and others, they were not connected through communities and mostly wrote for themselves. Eventually, these three that I mention got bored as well and took breaks or left, writing less frequently.IV. The Revival of TeensIn recent months, the teen community has experienced a sort of resurgence. Led by writers like Ethan James, John Oh, User-10149957438037763701, Amy Smith, Sadiyah Goll, and others, teen-oriented content has seen a new wave of circulation in the algorithm. These writers are now garnering hundreds of thousands if not millions of views per month writing about their teenage experiences in a teenage style.Above: Ethan James’ profile. Ethan is the most prominent active figure in the teen community today. He’s kind of like the teenage Sean Kernan, the same type of writer that Ayden Jozwik/Damien Christiensen was.It seems that these topics, which had once become stale, are now en vogue again. The levels of popularity and prevalence for teenage writers are certainly not where they were about two years ago, but they are on the way up and increasing by the day. I don’t know if the previous peak will be matched, but I’m optimistic. This new wave of teenage writers seems to be just as eloquent and well-written as the previous generation, with a fresh set of experiences and areas of interest to share with Quora’s community. It seems that one of the biggest trends in the teen community is the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Well, to be fair, it’s not just a teenage thing, but also a phenomenon throughout the whole Western world that has dominated the cultural landscape of the early twenty-first century. I have noticed that the Quora MCU community is principally led by a guy named Nathan Stanish, who has created a space called MCU Review and currently receives almost 2 million monthly views writing primarily about Marvel. Props to what he’s doing over there. Also, a sneaky bit of self-promotion: a collection of teenage writers have recently founded a space called Revival of Teens, which is dedicated to promoting teenage content and helping teenage voices to be heard. Check it out if you want to see some eloquent, well-conducted, respectable content that happens to come from unique teenage perspectives.I am hopeful that the teen community on Quora can continue its upward trend toward the spotlight again. Teenagers, for all their faults, are incredible people with valuable things to contribute to Quora’s mission: to share and grow the world’s knowledge.Footnotes[1] Q&A app Quora valued around $1.8 billion in $85 million fundraise – TechCrunch[1] Q&A app Quora valued around $1.8 billion in $85 million fundraise – TechCrunch[1] Q&A app Quora valued around $1.8 billion in $85 million fundraise – TechCrunch[1] Q&A app Quora valued around $1.8 billion in $85 million fundraise – TechCrunch

What are some of the most mind-blowing facts?

“You can be your own Twin”Which animal is this?A Goat? A Sheep? Or something else?I will answer this later. If you look back to your boring Biology lectures in high school, you may remember two things about DNA :DNA is the “code” for all our genes.Every individual have one and only one set of DNA. Otherwise, a person could have two different blood types. It turns out our old faithful bio was wrong. Some people's bodies do indeed contain two sets of DNA.A person with two kinds of DNA is called as Chimera, and the condition is known as Chimerism. The word comes from the mythical Chimera, a creature in Greek mythology that's part lion, part goat, and part snake.A Chimera(in Biology) is a single organism having cells from more than one zygote(cell formed after fertilization of egg).Let me tell you a story.A lady named Lydia Fairchild was pregnant with her third child when she decided to separate from her husband, Jamie Townsend(2002). She filed for the custody of her children. But everything goes wierd. The DNA report confirmed Jamie to be the actual father but Lydia was not the mother of children. Lydia was completely in shock.State declared Lydia as fraud. Prosecutors were dumbfounded at that. One of them began searching the medical literature and came across a similar case from 1998 involving a 52-year-old woman named Kren Keegan.Karen was found to be more than one person.WHATTTT?DNA is supposed to be our unique identity, that's why DNA is essential in crime investigation. But Chimera is one who have more than one set of DNA. Or we can say a single body can belong to two persons. A cheek cell DNA can differ from cervical cell.Coming to the story of Lydia.Time came for her to give birth to her third child. Judge ordered an observer to be present at the time of birth. Blood samples were taken and tested. Judge was stupified at seeing the DNA reports. Again it was found Lydia was not the biological mother.Prosecutors suggested that the case may be similar to that of Karen's 1998 case. New tests were performed. It was found Lydia's skin and hair cell DNA didn't match with her children but her cervical cell DNA did match. Relief..Lydia Fairchild with her kids(now four). It was later found that Lydia and Karen both completely absorbed their twins while in the womb itself and their twins(cell) were the biological mothers of the babies. Gross. But science say that chimerism is not rare.Cases which fall under chimerism :Merging of different fertilized eggs to form single organism. This will lead to formation of organs having different set of DNA from both the zygotes. These type of chimeras can live their whole life without realising about there chimerism because they doesn't have any visible distinction from others. This was the case of Lydia Fairchild. We can also say in this case that a person is his own twin.Mutation during ordinary cell division leading to different tissues(in plants).Organ transplantation. In this, host becomes chimera by receiving an organ made from different genome. For example in case of Bone marrow transplantation, donor's bone marrow start making different blood from that of host's actual blood. Thus host may have different blood flowing in his bloodstream.Microchimerism. It is the presence of very small amount of genetically distinct cells in the host's body. It is generally found during birth. Since mother and foetus are connected through placenta, some of the baby's DNA can end up in the mother's bloodstream. This DNA then can flow to different organs of mother and get stored there. This way mother acquire chimerism from baby. Other side is also true. Baby will also acquire mother's DNA through same process. Actually we all have two sets of DNA during birth. But mother's DNA gets replaced with time. Twins also share their DNA during birth.Symbiotic chimerism. This is found in case of Angler Fish. Male angler fish (usually less than an inch) search for female(bigger than male) for mating. Male then bites into the female skin and release some enzyme which digest his mouth and fix him to the body of female. This way they form a new organism having two different DNAs. More than two males may fuse with the female. How Chimerism can be beneficial for humans?Nowadays, scientists are using chimerism to generate organs in animals. For instance, an embryo of rat having pancreas forming genes removed is injected with normal mouse DNA cells. Host readily accepts these cells and start forming pancreatic cells.A chimeric mouse with its offspring.Further step was taken when those mice pancreas cells were transplanted into diabetic mouse, and Voila. They worked like charm.Recent milestone in this research is the formation of Human-Pig chimera. At the Salk Institute in La Jolla, California, biologists Juan Carlos Izpisua Belmonte and Jun Wu spent four years injecting different forms of adult human stem cells into 1,500 pig embryos. They wanted to figure out which ones could survive into the first few weeks of life. To their astonishment, in few cases, human cells start forming colonies such that there was 1 human cell for every hundred thousand so called pig cells.A human-pig embryo.Green colored human cells in four week old pig embryo.Coming to my first question. This is a Geep. In a battle between Zaraki Kenpachi from bleach and Madara Uchiha from naruto. Who would win?

Interesting…So we have a fight between the Strongest Shinobi, Madara Uchiha:V.S The Strongest Shinigami, Zaraki KenpachiA legendary battle indeed between 2 characters who are known to be given the title the strongest between their 2 respective series. These 2 are my favorites. Before we go in, let us make a few rules:Reitsu=Chakra, so Madara would be able to see KenpachiThey would be able to harm each other (refer to rule #1)The rules from their respective universes apply here, so if one has more Chakra/Reitsu, they would be able to negate hax, and they would be able to interact with one other, meaning Zaraki can interact with Limbo clones.Alright, let´s dive into this…First, we have Madara Uchiha.¨Madara Uchiha (うちはマダラ, Uchiha Madara) was the legendary leader of the Uchiha clan. He founded Konohagakure alongside his childhood friend and rival, Hashirama Senju, with the intention of beginning an era of peace. When the two couldn't agree on how to achieve that peace, they fought for control of the village, a conflict that ended in Madara's death. Madara, however, rewrote his death and went into hiding to work on his own plans. Unable to complete it in his natural life, he entrusted his knowledge and plans to Obito Uchiha shortly before his actual death. Years later, Madara would be revived, only to see his plans foiled and ultimately, and finally, realizing the error of his ways and making amends with Hashirama before his final death.¨This guy is pretty much considered to be well into the High Kage-Godly tier of Naruto.Attack Potency:Around Planetary. His Susanoo is capable of slicing through mountains just by unsheathing his blade:can call down meteors about the size of a country:Soloed the five Kage and about 99% of the 80,000 Shinobi alliance:And he did receive a boost from the Juubi and became a Sage of Six Paths:So yeah, he should be Planetary.SpeedEasily FTL+.He dodged a Flying Raijin, while blind and being at his weakest:And Flying Raijin is basically kinda like teleportation. Oh yeah, and he does have Susanoo. So he should have the durability of…Large Country-Small Continental? Yeah.AbilitiesI´m just gonna copy and paste.¨Even by Uchiha standards, Madara was born with very powerful chakra,[41] described as very foul and evil.[57][58] This is partly because he inherited Indra's chakra.[59] His large chakra reserves allowed him to fight nonstop for twenty-four hours before collapsing,[60] and in his old age, summon the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path from its cage in the moon.[61] His chakra control could perform complicated techniques with a single hand seal. He could also quickly absorb and synchronize senjutsu chakra with his own and therefore enter Sage Mode, despite having no prior training in senjutsu.[62] Even when distributing his chakra among twenty-five wood clones, each still had enough power to threaten the Five Kage.Madara was incredibly skilled in taijutsu. During his confrontation with the Fourth Division, he calmly defeated thousands of opponents with physical combat, disarming and dodging attacks from many directions. He could strike with precision before his opponent could react, and overpower individuals twice his size.[63] He was fast enough to attack Naruto who was in Sage Mode,[64], and dodges a Flying Thunder God Slash via his own sensing abilities combined with sensing abilities that Sage Mode provides.[65] While using Sage Mode, Madara's pain tolerance was high, as he neither flinched from Sasuke stabbing his right arm, the tailed beasts' assault, nor from the loss of his arm.[66]Body ModificationsA replica of Hashirama's face on Madara's chest. When Madara was reincarnated, Kabuto Yakushi modified him to be "beyond his physical and combat prime". He was restored to his physical prime and physically more capable than ever while also retaining the abilities he only had in his old age.[67] In addition, a pale replica of Hashirama's face existed on Madara's left pectoral region,[68] which acted as a medium to channel senjutsu chakra into Sage Mode. It also lets him heal most of his injuries in seconds, and allows him the usage of Wood Release.[69] For severe injuries he could not heal, like amputation, Madara could replace his limb with material from a White Zetsu's body.[70] Stemming from having Hashirama's cells in his body, Madara's life-force became powerful enough to not immediately die from having all the tailed beasts extracted from his body.NinjutsuMadara was well-versed in a variety of ninjutsu styles: he could use juinjutsu powerful enough to restrict the target's actions,[71] hide within surfaces to avoid damage and traverse the battlefield unnoticed,[72] and through an unorthodox use of the Shadow Clone Technique, fake his death by having a clone act as his corpse.[73] In the anime, Madara showed the ability to levitate.[74]Madara was an adept sensor, being able to detect others' chakra signature countries away,[32] determine a person's clan and the nature of their Kekkei Genkai,[75] and even differentiate species.[76] When amplified by Sage Mode, he could even fight whilst blind by locating targets and dodging attacks through his sensory perception.[77]BukijutsuMadara wielding his gunbai.Madara could use many weapons, such as giant shuriken, a kama, chains with weights, a kusarigama, and hand-held shuriken.[78] He also demonstrated proficiency with swords while fighting the Fourth Division.[79] His trademark weapon was his gunbai, with which he could shield himself[80] and redirect attacks,[81] or wield it like a mace or flail.[82] He could slice through the giant roots of the Ten-Tails' tree form with it.[83]Nature TransformationMadara using Fire Release: Great Fire Annihilation.Madara was able to utilize all five basic nature transformations, as well as Yin–Yang Release.[2] An Uchiha, he had a natural affinity for Fire Release, being able to produce a massive wall of flames that required several Water Release users to repel together,[84] launch a volley of dragon-shaped fireballs,[85] or cover an area with ash to act as a smokescreen.[86] In the anime, Madara could create powerful gusts with his gunbai to repel an entire platoon.[87] Later in his life, he used Yin–Yang Release to amplify White Zetsu and pour his will into black receivers which could restrict and control targets.[88]After transplanting Hashirama's DNA, which was later augmented further by Kabuto, Madara could then use Wood Release, a mixture of water and earth-natured chakra, with his skill being comparable to Hashirama himself.[89] He could create gigantic flowering trees that could render a foe unconscious,[90] wood clone,[91] and wood dragons which could bind targets and drain their chakra.[92] With Hashirama's cells, Madara could also produce roots to connect to and gain limited control of the Ten-Tails.[93] Despite the Wood Release's power, Madara does not seem to use it unless he is either toying with his opponent or if he needs it as a last resort to restrain a tailed beast. After becoming the Ten-Tails' jinchūriki, he was shown using Yin Release to create lightning bolts, and Storm Release – a mixture of water and lightning-natured chakra – to create energy beams that could cut through the Six Paths Rods.[94]DōjutsuSharinganMadara's Sharingan.Madara awakened his Sharingan as a child, with one tomoe in each of his eyes.[10]. By adulthood, his Sharingan was fully developed and active near-constantly. Madara's mastery over the Sharingan surpassed every other member of the Uchiha clan in his natural lifetime. Only he could tell the difference between a shadow or wood clone, and the original.[95] With brief eye contact, Madara could place targets under genjutsu and paralyze them or relay information.[96] He could even trap the Nine-Tails and summon it as a powerful tool in battle. By programming one of his eyes to activate Izanagi after his death, he was able to alter reality and resurrect himself.[73]Mangekyō SharinganMadara's Mangekyō Sharingan.Madara and his brother Izuna were the first Uchiha known to have awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan. Madara knew about other users' Mangekyō techniques and was also capable of discerning the mechanics of these techniques with brief observation.[97] After stealing Kakashi Hatake's Mangekyō Sharingan, he was able to use Kamui on himself immediately.[94] With his eyesight deteriorating from overuse, he replaced his original eyes with Izuna's, restoring his vision and gaining the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.[98] The "straight tomoe" (直巴, Choku Tomoe) of his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan granted him fluidity in his movements when fighting.[99]Madara's Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.Having awakened both his Mangekyō, Madara could use Susanoo. The ribcage could withstand an Ultra-Big Ball Rasengan and A's strength,[100][101] and he could produce a legged Susanoo. His Susanoo wielded two to four undulating blades that could be thrown and controlled remotely.[102] He could also use Yasaka Magatama of varying sizes.[103] When fully produced, Madara would hover inside Susanoo to grant him a greater range of movement.[90]Madara's Complete Body — Susanoo. After acquiring the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan Madara could "stabilize" Susanoo into its Complete Body form, causing it to resemble a tengu with outer armor that was nearly impenetrable.[104] A secondary pair of arms wielded a sheathed katana which could be used to bisect mountains with their mere shockwaves.[105] According to himself, its power was comparable to that of the tailed beasts, and no one was said to have lived to see it a second time.[106]. Madara's Complete Body Susanoo uses its second set of arms for attack and defense rather than flight. He was also able to shape his Susanoo into armor for Kurama, which synergized their abilities.[107]RinneganMadara's Rinnegan.Years after infusing himself with Hashirama's DNA and unknowingly mixing Indra's and Asura's chakra, Madara's Sharingan evolved into the Rinnegan.[21] As the eyes' original owner, only he could use them to their maximum power.[108] He was able to switch between both dōjutsu. With the Rinnegan, Madara could use all of the abilities of the Six Paths Technique,[109] such as the Preta Path to absorb chakra[110] and the Deva Path to perform Chibaku Tensei.[111] He could also use the Outer Path to create chakra chains that could restrain all nine tailed beasts.[112] and black receivers for various melee and supplementary purposes. Through the usage of his Rinnegan with that of his Sharingan, Madara could summon meteorites to cause widespread destruction.[113]While under the Impure World Reincarnation, Madara was unable to use the full extent of his Rinnegan's abilities. After being revived and obtaining one of his actual eyes, he could summon and control the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path,[114] seal the Ten-Tails inside himself,[115] and generate a corporeal invisible shadow to aid him in battle. While Madara was in Sage Mode and further boosted by Kurama's chakra, this shadow was powerful enough to knock down the tailed beasts.[116] With access to both of his Rinnegan, Madara could produce at least four shadows to aid him.[117]Rinne SharinganMadara's Rinne Sharingan. As the Ten-Tails' jinchūriki and with both of his Rinnegan, Madara approached the moon and awakened a Rinne Sharingan on his forehead, which he could use to reflect the eye onto the moon, allowing him to cast the Infinite Tsukuyomi and trap everyone besides himself in genjutsu.[118]Jinchūriki TransformationsMain article: Jinchūriki FormsMadara's initial jinchūriki transformation. After sealing the Ten-Tails into his body, Madara had immediately gained complete control over the beast, which was stronger than when it was first revived due to having all of the Eight-Tails and half of the Nine-Tails' chakra sealed in it, leading to his power being noted to feel stronger than Obito's, which only had a portion of the Eight and Nine-Tails' chakra.[119] As such, the only shinobi using all of the Eight Gates of the Six Paths Chakra are able to compete with him.[120] In this form, Madara could fly and his physical abilities were enhanced, being fast enough to react to the Flying Thunder God Technique and Kamui,[121] and durable enough to survive the Night Guy, albeit barely. After absorbing the tree form of the Ten-Tails, his regenerative powers could circumvent bisection and restore his body, causing him to declare himself immortal.[122] He could also harness natural energy to enhance his various techniques, as well as cast the Infinite Tsukuyomi and God: Nativity of a World of Trees after he awakened the Rinne Sharingan. With his transformation, Madara obtained Truth-Seeking Balls that floated behind him in a circular formation, which were comprised of the five basic nature transformations and Yin–Yang Release.[123][124] Their chakra is highly malleable and versatile, such that he could use them as high-speed projectiles,[125] protective barriers,[126] and various weapons, such as a shakujō.[127] With Yin–Yang Release, the balls could nullify all ninjutsu they came into contact with.[128]IntelligenceMadara's years of experience on the battlefield honed his strategic ingenuity. He could quickly devise a number of approaches and could switch approaches immediately. The longer he spent against a particular opponent, the less he needed backup tactics, as he could eventually predict what they would do and identify literal or psychological weaknesses to exploit. He could form and verify any theories he comes up with using small details.[94] In addition to his sheer adaptability, Madara was knowledgeable on a large variety of individuals and abilities, and thus could identify techniques when used and react with the most appropriate counter to them.A researcher, he experimented on and cultivated a clone flower through the Demonic Statue of Outer Path, and from it, he created a life-support system for himself.[129] He had enough medical knowledge to transplant eyes, treat severe injuries, and could replace destroyed body parts with White Zetsu matter.[130]¨Ok now that he is done, next on Zaraki Kenpachi:¨Kenpachi Zaraki (更木 剣八, Zaraki Kenpachi) is the current captain of the 11th Division in the Gotei 13. He is the eleventh Kenpachi to hold the position.[3] His first lieutenant was Yachiru Kusajishi and his current lieutenant is Ikkaku Madarame.¨This man is basically a Shoo-in for being a God-Tier in Bleach. Let´s check him out.Attack PotencyCall me crazy, but I would probably place him at Planetary+He defeated 3 Sternitter, who is obviously above all of the Espada combined. And Espada´s Gran Rey Cero is strong enough to destroy all of Las Noches:Which is about the size of California.https://qr.ae/pNcwv3However, Uqqiora has a second release and an attack that about 10x stronger than a Gran Rey Cero. I forgot what it was called, but anyway. We all know that an Espada's release is basically Bankai. This means it would have a 10x multiplier, so boosting Ulqioura all the way up to about Large Continental. And since he has a second releaseHe would have a multiplier between 10–100x, so he could be able to destroy a planet's surface, and maybe even the Planet itself. So he is about Small Planetary-Planetary.And plus, Kenpachi has his Shikai, Bankai, Kendo, and his eyepatch removal to boost him even further. So yeah, that should do. In fact, he should be at Star level. Yeah. Some other feats include casually Swiping away a mountain-sized Pillar:Could slice a meteor that threatened the Seretei in half:And many moreSpeedHe should be easy MFTL-MFTL+He is the strongest captain, and lieutenants are easily FTLSo yeah, he is going fast.DurabilityPretty high up.This was a Soul Society arc Kenpachi taking hits from Ichigo like nothing. He was even taking hits from Unohona, the first ¨Kenpachi.¨In fact, his reitsu was so great, that Aizen said he could blow away Barragan’s Respira and overcome Starrk’s swords. He also feared that Zaraki’s power would rise so much that he would defeat even him. Note that Aizen feared Yamamoto’s Ryujin Jakka, and Zaraki’s raw power before he even obtained Shikai. Those were the 2 people he feared in terms of battle power, from Seirete. Now mind you, although he is #1, Starrk is actually 2nd to Ulquiorra. So if we were to scale that higher to Blood War Kenpachi, his durability would be about Large Planetary at least.AbilitiesCopy and Paste~¨Due to the lawlessness of the Zaraki district, Kenpachi's skill with his sword has been honed to essentially a masterful level, letting him strike multiple times with changes of attack type (from slash to pierce) without any difficulty. While still a child, his prowess was great enough to single-handedly kill hundreds of adult fighters and wound Retsu Unohana, the 1st Kenpachi, in battle.[157] His unpolished skills, but immense might with his sword allow him to always fight with one hand free, only using both hands when facing opponents he feels will beat him otherwise, such as with Nnoitra and momentarily Ichigo.[158] As the captain of the 11th Division, which specializes in sword fighting, he is among the most, if not the most, proficient swordsmen in all of Soul Society.Kendō: Kenpachi possesses some knowledge and skill in Kendō, which Yamamoto forced him to learn before officially joining the Gotei 13, though the training only lasted a day out of fear that Zaraki would become too powerful.[27] However, Kenpachi, who despises using skills and techniques learned from another source, only uses Kendō as a last resort.Ryōdan (両断, Bisection): A technique that Kenpachi uses when he is gripping his sword with two hands. It allows one to split an opponent down the middle.[159][58][160]Kenpachi displays his hand-to-hand skills.Expert Hand-to-Hand Combatant: While preferring to use his blade in battle, Kenpachi has proven several times to be very dangerous while barehanded, showing considerably effective brawling prowess. He can easily catch an opponent's attack with a single hand, perform powerful punches and kicks, and easily subdue opponents with throws and take-downs. Kenpachi easily overwhelmed several members of the Onmitsukidō, a corp of Hakuda-specialists, despite being battle-worn.[95]Kenpachi exerts his spiritual energy in a single strike.Immeasurable Spiritual Power: Even by a captain's standards, Zaraki's Reiryoku is monstrous. He has so much that even while wearing his energy-sealing eyepatch, his prowess is not noticeably hindered as he is still able to fight two captain-level opponents at once who were both using their Bankai.[161] Ganju Shiba estimated his sealed power to be close to or at the same level as Byakuya Kuchiki's Reiatsu.[162] Retsu Unohana, one of the most powerful captains of the Gotei 13, stated she was weaker than him even while he was still a child.[163] After defeating Unohana and releasing himself from his self-imposed limits, he becomes powerful enough to fight on par with and defeat the likes of Gremmy Thoumeaux without taking off his eyepatch.[164] Similar to Ichigo, when unleashing a strong enough surge of energy, it becomes visible and yellow in color, sometimes with the appearance of a skull.[165]Unruly Reiatsu Control: By his own admission, Kenpachi has poor control of his spiritual energy as it constantly remains very potent, forcing him to rely on his eyepatch to keep it at a more manageable level. Despite this, he is able to make liberal use of it in a variety of ways. It can affect large areas, spanning miles, and cause others within that area to enter a state of paralysis and confusion.[166] When exerting his energy, the sheer magnitude of Kenpachi's energy can cause considerable damage, destroying the area around him and launching away weaker opponents. Likewise, this can repel or disrupt most enemy attacks and abilities.[87] After his battle with Unohana, Kenpachi gains considerable control over his Reiatsu; prior to Gremmy Thoumeaux creating a structure for he and Kenpachi to fight on, Shinigami in the nearby area were completely unable to detect his Reiatsu.[167] He can also use his Reiryoku for more basic feats, such as standing in midair like other Shinigami.[168]Damage Resistance: The intensity of Kenpachi's Reiryoku also acts as a sort of armor, making it impossible for him to be harmed by anyone not at least at his level of power. This is first demonstrated when he faced Ichigo. At the start of the fight, Kenpachi allows Ichigo to strike him, yet despite leaving himself completely unguarded and not resisting, not only did Ichigo fail to cut him, but Ichigo's hands started to bleed because of the recoil.[169]Kenpachi launches an energy wave.Shock Wave: He possesses enough control to focus and unleash his spiritual pressure in the form of a powerful shock wave. When using both hands, his shock wave can have a huge radius of destruction.Energy Wave: By striking at the ground, Kenpachi can create an overflowing wave of yellow spiritual energy, which surges forward before crashing into Kenpachi's target.[170]Specialized Combatant: Kenpachi did not attend the Shin'ō Academy, and has no apparent skill (or interest) in Kidō and Shunpo. Despite that and even before achieving either of his Zanpakutō's release forms, he more than made up for his faults as a captain with his sheer power, resilience, and ingenuity. These traits easily making him one of the strongest Shinigami in the Gotei 13.[1] His immense fighting prowess is the reason why Kenpachi was recognized as one of the 5 Special War Powers by the Wandenreich.[171]Highly Perceptive Combatant: Despite his seeming disregard for any strategy and his self-admitted aversion to thinking, Kenpachi has regularly displayed more understanding than one would expect. Even Byakuya was impressed by Kenpachi's ability to understand things he has no personal experience with.[172] He is very adept at finding and exploiting weaknesses in his opponents' techniques, and likewise at adjusting to his opponent's attack patterns and battle methods to better counter them. This was demonstrated when he was subdued by Kaname Tōsen's Bankai, leaving him with only his blade and sense of touch, which prompted him to let Tōsen strike him simply so he could catch his opponent.[173] He is also deceptively insightful, able to notice subtle traits in people and see what drives a person's actions; he correctly singled out Kaname Tōsen and Gin Ichimaru as the only captains who are afraid to die.[174] He possesses sharp intuition towards incoming danger, which allowed him to repeatedly dodge Tōsen's assault while still affected by his Bankai. While claiming not to have any common sense, Kenpachi can still theorize, as he deduced that Gremmy Thoumeaux's The Visionary only works on one target at a time and all effects on a previous target will disappear.[175]Kenpachi displays his massive strength by holding back a stomp from an enormous Gerard Valkyrie.Supernatural Strength: Kenpachi possesses a very large degree of physical strength, most commonly displayed by his ability to push back his opponent's attacks with a single-arm, even if the opponent's weapons and attacks are gigantic in size.[176] He can carry three full-grown human corpses on his shoulders without any apparent effort.[177] When Pernida Parnkgjas began warping and damaging his arm, Kenpachi ripped it off effortlessly.[178]In his various battles, he has performed superhuman physical feats, such as launching full-grown men through buildings with a kick and slamming his opponents over his shoulder, as well as grabbing Ichigo's large sword to reel him in for an attack.[179] He can also ram clear through a solid wall[180] and launch his opponent's back during a weapons clash.[181][182] He also managed to block the stomp of an enormous Gerard Valkyrie and throw him back a tremendous distance,[183] and even succeeded in tripping up Gerard with just one arm when the Quincy was even larger.[184] With just his bare hand, Kenpachi grabbed and deflected the Cero of the fifth Espada, Nnoitra Gilga.[185]His sword attacks can easily cut through an Arrancar's Hierro, which is harder than steel, including Yammy Llargo's while he was in his released form, where Kenpachi cut off his leg and knocked the enormous Espada off his feet in a single strike.[186] His extreme cutting strength is also evident from how he sliced apart a skyscraper with a mere flick of his wrist. Against Gremmy's imagination powers, Kenpachi claims that Quincy's powers cannot come up with anything that he cannot cut, proving so by slicing through Gremmy's self-proclaimed harder-than-steel body.[187]Shunpo Practitioner: Though Kenpachi originally possessed no known skill in Shunpo, after his training with Retsu Unohana he developed it to some degree. Most notably, after recovering from the injuries inflicted by Pernida Parnkgjas, Kenpachi managed to instantly appear in another part of the Wahrwelt city and attack Gerard Valkyrie before the Sternritter could even defend himself, with Ikkaku and Yumichika shocked that Kenpachi arrived before they did.[188][189]Enhanced Speed: Prior to learning how to perform basic Shunpo, Kenpachi displayed deceptively fast physical speed for his size and build. Thanks to the tremendous raw strength in his legs, Kenpachi's natural acceleration more than made up for his lack of Shunpo, allowing him to move fast enough to instantly close a huge gap of space between him and his opponent,[190] and even seemingly disappear from sight. In battle, he can strike with incredible speed in rapid succession, making it highly difficult for his opponents to find an opening and counterattack. During his short battle with Byakuya, Kenpachi manages to keep up with his opponent's incredibly fast Shunpo, a feat which shocked and impressed Byakuya.[191]Supernatural Endurance: His physical prowess is equally shown by his resilience. Kenpachi often ignores most of the injuries he sustains in battle, not suffering any debilitation despite having multiple slash wounds in his body and rarely any signs of pain (much like a berserker). He allowed himself to be stabbed during his fight with Tōsen just to grab Tōsen's blade to dispel his Bankai's effect. During his battle with Nnoitra, he suffered numerous slash wounds, even impaled and almost beheaded with no visual impairment of his fighting performance; Nnoitra noting most people would have already been dead by then.[192][193] Even after receiving grievous injuries which left him in a comatose state, he healed enough to return to training only days later, showing a high recovery rate as well.[194] Despite having his arm mangled by Pernida's The Compulsory, Kenpachi still managed to nonchalantly hold his sword with that arm. [195]Supernatural Durability: As resilient as Kenpachi is, he is just as hard to damage. During his battle against Yammy, while Kenpachi was focusing his attention on Ichigo, Yammy delivered a powerful blow with his massive fist, launching Kenpachi several meters and smashing him into a large pillar. Despite the impact, Kenpachi quickly emerged unfazed, claiming it was only a "decent punch" but was still unimpressed.[196] During his battle with Gremmy, Kenpachi remained unharmed after being fired upon by dozens of firearms and having missiles thrown at him,[197] and later withstood the cold vacuum of space and having several clones of Gremmy self-destruct at point-blank range with only moderate injuries.[198] Even after Kenpachi suffered severe organ damage from these attacks, it took the combined effort of four Sternritter to finally take him out of the battle.[199]ZanpakutōNozarashi redirects here. For the manifested spirit see Nozarashi (Zanpakutō spirit)Nozarashi.Nozarashi (野晒, Weather-Beaten One; Viz "Weather-Beaten"):[200] Kenpachi was able to imprint onto his Zanpakutō while still an untrained child.[201] The blade is much longer than a standard Zanpakutō's, roughly the size of a nodachi, with a long guard that extends inward from its center, similar to a shinai. The hilt is white, though most of it is wrapped in bandages, as is his sword's sheath.[202] Originally, Kenpachi was the only person in the history of the Gotei 13 who did not know the name of his Zanpakutō before becoming a captain, nor could he perform either of his blade's release states. After his fight with Ichigo, Kenpachi wished to learn more about his Zanpakutō because he wanted to become stronger and he could identify with the pain of not having a name. Zangetsu noted Kenpachi's disharmony with his sword caused the two to damage each other's powers; consequently, Kenpachi could not hear the cry of his sword. Their disharmony left Nozarashi with little spiritual energy and became easier to damage; it is a chipped and seemingly worn-down blade upon its edge. Despite its appearance, Nozarashi can easily cut through most objects: with it, Kenpachi stabs straight through Ichigo's Zanpakutō, and later slices a building in half with no apparent effort after releasing his full power. Later, upon defeating Retsu Unohana in battle and awakening his true strength, Kenpachi finally was able to hear his Zanpakutō's voice.[203]Nozarashi in its Shikai form.Shikai: Before Kenpachi knew its name, it was believed by Soul Society that Kenpachi's overwhelming Reiatsu was forcing Nozarashi into a constantly released state due to its more elaborate design.[204] Its release command is Drink (呑め, nome).[205] Upon release, Nozarashi takes on the form of a great ax/war cleaver hybrid with a long, cloth-wrapped handle and a green tassel attached to the top.[206]Shikai Special Ability: In its released state, Nozarashi possesses tremendous attack power, easily destroying a huge meteorite with a single attack.[207][208] Its cutting power is also greatly enhanced, allowing Kenpachi to effortlessly cut through the bodies of his opponents and even through space itself.[209]Kenpachi's unnamed Bankai.Bankai: Unnamed: Upon activation, Kenpachi's Bankai releases a huge wave of energy powerful enough to level nearby buildings. In this form, Kenpachi's skin turns red, and he gains multiple black markings across his face and horns on his forehead, causing him to resemble an oni. His blade becomes an altered version of its Shikai state, with a shorter, more jagged blade resembling a rough cleaver.[210]Bankai Special Ability: Kenpachi's Bankai grants him tremendous physical strength and cutting power, allowing him to effortlessly topple a gigantic Gerard Valkyrie with a single blow,[211] rip off his arm in a single motion,[212] and cut him completely in half from a considerable distance.[213] While in his Bankai, Kenpachi becomes a mindless berserker, acting without consciousness and regard for his own life.[214]¨By the way, I found a good answer explaining how powerful he really is:https://www.quora.com/How-strong-is-Kenpachi-in-Bleach?top_ans=207925976ConclusionSo yeah, in case if it ain´t obvious, Kenpachi obviously stomps. Madara may have more abilities than him, but it won´t consider that he has more Spiritual Energy than Madara, so he could negate hax:Truth Seeking Orbs won´t really work either, considering he is only a ghost. As much as I like Madara, he gets outclassed by Kenpachi. The Winner, is Zaraki Kenpachi:
