ESI card is known by the name E-Pehchan card. The employer can download it from his Id . After downloading the card (basically its 2 page paper ) , the IP (insured person ) has to paste his and his families photo at the backside of the card , which has to be attested by the employer or your concerned ESI Branch Manager .

Family detail is submitted during registartion of the Employee by entering into register New IP on the ESIC employer portal.Incase, family detail was not added ago then Employer have to follow the below mention process:-Employer have to login on the ESIC Employer portal with active credentials (login id and password).Click on the Update IP detail.You will see first category Name/Dispensary. Employer can update the diapensary nearby family current address so that they may avail medical benefit from there.Now, go to fifth category Family detail. The category pertains Name, DOB, Realation with Employee, Family member whose are being filled whether residing with him/her (means IP) , address detail In case the family member not residing with employee/IP. All the heads having their separate dedicated spaces.The data to be filled In the given space, after filling the data click ADD button, the filled data Will be shifted in the Active family detail.After filling the detail, click on the submit button and the filled data will be updated on the ESIC Employee detail.Employer can download E-pehchaan card and provide the same by affixing joint photo of the IP and family member, do attestation and provide to Employee so that they may apply for Biometric card at ESIC and avail benefit from ESIC.
