Mac Users: Do you ever use the Windows Office Suite designed for Mac? Are there any benefits as opposed to using Pages?

Mac Users: Do you ever use the Windows Office Suite designed for Mac? Are there any benefits as opposed to using Pages?I think you mean the Microsoft Office suite, not the Windows Office suite. I am not aware of any software package called Windows Office.I do use Microsoft Office 2016 for Mac occasionally, mostly when I am collaborating with friends and fellow authors/editors on writing projects. They use Office for most of their writing (though, I may be close to convincing them to switch their long-form writing to Scrivener, which is far better for that purpose), so sometimes they send me Word documents to proofread or edit, and if I send them documents for that purpose I export from Scrivener to Word format. The only benefit I’ve found for Word over Pages is the Track Changes feature in Word. If my friends were Pages users, then I would probably use the Pages collaboration tools, but they’re not, so we use the Track Changes in Word. It works reasonably well, although for long documents it sucks up RAM worse than Chrome does.As far as that goes, though, I don’t really use Pages all that much, either. I do have letterhead and envelope templates that I’ve created for when I need to snail mail things, and that’s really about it. Almost all of my other writing is done in Scrivener, since most of what I write is creative writing and Scrivener is far and away the best tool for what I do.I don’t really use Excel or Powerpoint very often. My spreadsheet requirements are pretty basic, and for financial stuff I use dedicated bookkeeping software anyway (AccountEdge). I do use Numbers when I have a need for a spreadsheet. So, for my money, there is a significant benefit for using Word if you are collaborating with people on word processing documents, unless everybody is using Pages.
