Financial Reporting is an easy subject in CA Final in which I got 83 Marks. I studied Amalgamation and consolidated financial statements thoroughly, I didn't studied Ind AS and also skip Ind AS Question in my exam(We need to attend only 6 questions).Manage time not on the basis of marks but on the basis of type of questions.Amalgamation and consolidation takes Minimum 1.20 Hour to answer(plan in such a way, so you will not get confused in exam hall)We can save time in 1st and 7th question. First answer amalgamation/consolidation, it will take 40–45 minutes then answer 1 or 7 so you can compensate the time. and answer all small questions and at last the 16 mark unanswered question (amalgamation or consolidation).If you fear about time, answer 1st or 7th and adjust time.I prefer to study all unique adjustments in the problems in practice manual and study material and note down how to slove that, try to answer the questions in practice manual for time management purpose only.Before exam you need to know every type of adjustment in every questions so that you can score well in Financial Reporting.In consolidation chapter there are more than 19 adjustments but in exam asks only 2 or 3, if we studied how to solve all exam will be yours…Write all answers from a chapter in a unique way(don't use different methods to answer a Question) Eg. we can solve consolidation problems by using different types of working notes. I suggest to take one type, which you consider easy and write all answers in that way. it will help you to answer more easily because you don't need to worry about which type of working note you need to use.
