And that’s the power of niching down properly.Understood? Good.By the way, I hope you, my dear reader, are taking copious amounts of notes! These are insights, I normally ONLY share with paying clients.And you’re getting them for FREE!Tell you what? Finding Niches of Hungry Buyers OnlineOkay, young padawan…You now know what a niche is, and why it’s crucial to cater to a small group of people.But you still don’t know WHERE to look, to find those niches.We’ll cover that here.But first, we have to talk about the two types of niches and how they relate to making your product or service sell.So, essentially you can sort the different niches, in what I call “Pain Niches” and “Pleasure Niches”.A “Pain Niche” are people, who’re in somekind of painful life situation.This could mean in a physical sense, as in knee pain, arthritis, elbow pain, genital warts (Ughhhh!)…But it could also mean that they’re in emotional pain.They’re depressed. They can’t get a date to save their lives. They’re in debt.They’re chronically procrastinating.Anything that causes them pain.Let me tell you, it’s VERY easy to sell someone if they’re in pain and you truly have a good solution for them. So use this knowledge ETHICALLY.“Pleasure Niches” are people that want to fulfill a desire and get happy.They’re the hobbyists. Golfers. Language afficionadoes. Car tuners.Again, the word “pleasure” makes it obvious…People who’re looking for a way to experience positive emotions.Now, why are we talking about this?Pay close attention now, kiddo and write this down if you must….Because you’re going to find and select either a PAIN or PLEASURE niche to market and sell in!In case, you didn’t get it…You’re going to find and select ONE niche.And you’re going to concentrate on this niche alone, and extract the maximum amount of money out of it.Why just one?You don’t want to spread yourself thin and diverge your focus.You see, as a One-Man-Business-Army, you’re the only one in charge of executing your mission of making mucho $$$.Don’t try to chase to many targets (niches), or else you’ll end up hitting none.Understood Soldier?Good.So…Where do we Find Profitable Niches Online?I’ll give you a Million $ tip…Start with a broad market in mind and methodically narrow it down in your research.Start with a general market, you know a lot about.To recap, the big market are…HEALTH. WEALTH. RELATIONSHIPS.Pick one you have bought a product in, during the past and niche down from there.Oh…Don’t give me the whiney-ass…”I don’t know about…Markets! Boo-hoo!”STFU.EVERYBODY knows about some broad market.Have you been to the gym? Then you know SOMETHING about the health market.Do you read on here? You’ll know at least something about relationships or money, or weird hobbies.Look, this is the time to stop being ashamed of your Anime “PRON” habit….That’s a potenital sub-niche to explore! “How to End Your Anime Pron Addiction” (I’m only saying this half-jokingly as a matter of fact….This could be a money maker par excellence!)Once you’ve decided on a broad market, you niche down and find a very defined market or sub-niche.The more detailed you can become about defining your ideal customer the better.NOT “Fat Loss for Women” BUT “Fat Loss for Soon-to-be-Brides”.NOT “Dating Advice for Men” BUT “Dating Advice for 45+ y/o professionals”.Now…Where do you find these people? And how do you know that they’re currently spending money? How will you get a piece of the pie?Simple….Go to amazon.com, and type in your niche idea. Example: “Survivalist”.Amazon’s search engine will show you what hot products are selling right now!Just look at all the reviews and the prices. It truly doesn’t get any easier.You want to actually find a niche, that has some competition and A LOT of different products to sell.Competition means, that there’s money to be made because nobody would run ads, or place products on Amazon if they don’t get an ROI out of it.The costs for ads and Amazon placements are just too high, long-term.Repeat this process on ClickBank, and all the other affiliate sites and look for the same metrics as you did on Amazon.Lots of products. Lots of reviews. A price point above $20.00 (ideally).So once you’ve found a profitable niche…It’s time to cash in.3. Build a Niche Website and Market EffectivelyNow, comes the fun part.You’re going to register a website and start throwing up articles reviewing those products.That’s really the point in your adventure, where you have to know how to persuade, market and sell.And we’re not going to cover this here (no time).I’ll give you this much though…You will want to do everything I teach about marketing and persuasion to convert the traffic you’re getting to your website, into buyers.Let’s say, you want to market in the Survivalist niche and have niched down further to…“Ex-American-Military-Vets in their late 40’s who’re into hunting and Survivalism”Before you can sell these vets ANYTHING, you first want to establish TRUST with them and give them something for FREE.“But Micheal, why give something away for Free? You wanted to teach me how to make money! I’m not a fuckin’ charity!”Calm down, kiddo.Just shut up and put yourself into your prospects shoes.They’re visiting a relatively unknown website…Only because they’ve clicked a link in a forum you commented in, or came from a FaceBook or Google Ad you’re running…doesn’t mean they’re super eager to buy from you.And then you try to FORCE them into an immediate sale?That won’t work.You wouldn’t go up to a hot women you’ve had and eye on and immidiately ask her, “Hey wanna fuck?” would you? (I hope not!)That would (rightfully) get you slapped in the face.You need to build a positive relationship first, and get them to spend a very little amount of money in exchange for massive value from your part.Here’s how you’re going to do that…You’re going to offer a low-ticket item for FREE. But…You’re going to charge them more for shipping, so that you break-even on sales.Running with the “Survivalist Army Vet Hunter” sub-niche, here’s how this plays out…Offer a compass, or credit card knife for free and then charge $14.95 for shipping.This accomplishes many, many very important goals.For one, there is very little risk in this offer for the customer.Your prospect is going to see this and think, “Okay…Hm. Looks like there really is no catch to this. They’re offering this free!”As soon, as they buy from you, you capture their email addresses and offer them additional upsells, complementing the initial purchase, via email.You do everything you can to give them a valuable customer experience and you aim at providing value and being entertaining via email and other media channels.You aim at building a list of customers that you can sell over and over to.And boom! That means getting out there and taking photos with your camera.On-the-Job TrainingThe traditional way to gain experience is to work for another photographer in the niche that you want to be in.Build PortfolioYour portfolio is a sample of your best work. You will use it to show prospective clients what you can do for them. It is important to have one and to make sure it represents you and your work accurately,Workshops and SeminarsWorkshops and seminars are a great way to boost your knowledge quickly in both technical skills and business acumen. Anything not included in the basic package. This could be a framed wall print, extra album pages, a parent album, a DVD slideshow, an engagement album, a baby’s first-year album, and so forth.
