I was a commercial aircraft fueler in the ‘90’s. Typical fuel trucks hold between 10,000 and 15,000 gallons of JET-A. Long haul cargo flights would be our biggest fills. They would typically require between 4 and 5 fuel trucks each holding 10,000 gallons. We had a couple of 15k gallon trucks we’d use if they were available. A typical fuel request would be about 340,000 lbs of fuel.
