Undergraduate research in Seattle, WA is amazing....Not only is UW a top notch school, Seattle is a top notch city! The northwest is a Mecca of rich culture . Its an artist dream. Not to mention the artistic work. Whether your strolling through the city, or down by the ocean or many lakes... There is always something to do.... The only down side would be the rain...if you don't mind a little water, we welcome you....The best months in the pacific northwest are July, August and September....these would be your best bet for outside activities.....

In addition to the comments already made, and not knowing the nationality of the questioner, I’ll add a little clarifier of standards that I am aware of between Australian and US education.Generally speaking, it is my understanding that in the US, the first two years of university education are designed to bring the students’ standards up to a level already reached by Australian students before they start their university courses.An equivalent level of a completed undergraduate degree in Australia requires a masters level course to be completed in the US for a similar standard to be attained.A student in the US who has completed an undergraduate degree there, is comparable in education standards to a student in Australia who is only mid-way through their degree in Australia.While there can be no argument that there are some excellent universities in America, thesecomparisons indicate that universities in Australia are not of low standard at all. I have never come across any evidence to suggest that Australian universities are of low quality.These are conclusions based on comments made by both Australians and Americans participating at campuses in both Australian and American universities, as well as a collection of educators, researchers and others who have assessed the education levels on both sides of the Pacific.Be mindful that the quality of education, and the status applied to universities on the basis of research, are two entirely different measures. Even so, based on the size of the population, the levels of research in Australian universities is also commendable. Just because someone from Chicago, or The Hague, has never heard of Maquarie University does not mean it is poor in quality.Australia has an excellent level of education, and its universities are of an excellent standard.

Amarjoth SinghCurrently he is a Graduate Research Assistant in Laboratory for Robotic Vision at Simon Fraser University, Burnaby, Canada. Before joining SFU, he was a research engineer in Acoustic Research Laboratory at National University of Singapore. He graduated with a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2007-2011).
