I remember one incident that happened in 2003.Sachin Tendulkar was associated with Fiat Car Company as its brand ambassador, after sachin scored his 29th century in test cricket, equalling Sir Donald Bradman's record of centuries, Fiat decided to gift sachin with a Ferrari 360 modena car. This car was presented to him by Fiat, (the Italian automobile group which also produces Ferrari)Ferrari's then Formula 1 driver Michael Schumacher presented the car on behalf of the company to Tendulkar when the two met at Silverstone, England.Sachin Tendulkar had requested the finance ministry to exempt him from the import duty, which was 1.13 crore. Then,Fiat volunteered to pay the import duty on Sachin Tendulkar's controversial new Ferrari.I think he should have paid the import duty as a law abiding citizen, may be this was one controversy which he could have easily avoided by paying the duty and following the laws of the country.

ABC Brand pays to have a banner hung or have their product in the school over their competitor.Local fundraising. This takes many forms from the ever popular bake sales and car washes to local foundations. Local school district specific foundations get formed mostly in rich districts where parents don't want to be nikeled and dimed at bake sales. Instead, they write one larger check a year. X% of the money is spent that year and Y% gets saved and accrues interest for low fundraising years or big infrastructure projects. Instead of volunteer time being spent raising the money they spend it administering it (i.e. evaluating teacher requests for funds, arranging for speakers, etc.).State lottery funds. Some states have state lotteries where the revenues theoretically fund education. However, less than 1% of lottery earnings go to schools. This money is not significant on a district level.Philanthropy. This money generally doesn't go directly to the district but goes to peripheral activities.

Tell the court you are “homeless” and out-of-work; tell the court the saddest hardest circumstance you can; I’m serious.Traffic court judges are heard by Commissioners in California. A lot of times; a lot of times in California in the big cities (San Jose, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego) the regular courts are very busy so they use either commissioners or “commissioner-pro-temp” aka volunteer attorneys who aspire to be a judge one day. They tend to pander to law enforcement because they aspire to get appointed to judgeship one day and one to present they are tough on crime including “traffic citations/tickets”.But if you can show the court you are “poor” “out-of-work” EDD unemployment pay stub or ETB Food stamp ATM card; the judge can and I’ve seen it dismissed the charges or given probation or dismissed the fine or any combination of the above.Do not IGNORE the ticket.Do not PROCRASTINATE.Tell the court you an Indigent (poor) and had no money. That your got laid off or fired and had “NO MEANS OF INCOME”.Tell the court you would like to request community service in lieu of fine.Tell the court to reduce or waiver your fine and the penalty.Tell the court you were homeless and vagrant and had no means or opportunity to fix the citation.Translation: Tell the court anything about your hardship and ask for, no BEG for leniency.Otherwise next time you get pulled over, you could be in handcuffs for an OUTSTANDING WARRANT.Otherwise next time you see a cop / deputy tailing your car? What they are doing is running your plates and name on their computer to find if you have current registration or outstanding warrant. That’s why Cops/Deputies drive behind your car, while they run your car plates on their car computer; or call it in. See Cops/Deputies get points for arrests.The TRICK-AROUND-THAT is to always have your car registered in someones name that is in good standing that you TRUST? NOT SOME BICKERING PETTY GIRLFRIEND. Register the car in your wife/brother (clean record); mother, sister’s name. But do make sure, make damn sure you have an INSURANCE CARD INSURING “YOU” on you for that car. You can buy separate car insurance to drive the car even though someone else’s name is on the registration.It’s just like “renting” a car; the car is not yours but you can drive it; and you can either have your own insurance or the insurance from the owner or car rental agency issue you an extra separate policy.Oh, and a TIP:iF YOUR LICENSE gets “suspended” request and “ABSTRACT” FROM THE COURT.
