Representing IIT Bombay and INDIA at two International Engineering Competitions related to Unmanned Robotics in USA and WON both of them.Intelligent Ground Vehicle CompetitionWe won the 25th Intelligent Ground Vehicle Competition (IGVC) which was held at Oakland University in Michigan, USA. IGVC is the biggest unmanned ground vehicle competition in the world for university students.Our vehicle ‘SeDriCa’ participated in all three events and secured first place in the Autonomous Navigation Challenge and second place in the Design Challenge as well as in the Interchangeability Profiles Challenge. We were placed first (overall) in the pool of 29 participating teams from five different countries. We were a team of seven boys scored total 88 points out of 96 points, beating the first runner-up from Japan by a margin of 32 pointASME Student Design CompetitionWe won the Student Design Competition - World Finals organised by ASME's International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition that was held at Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, Florida, USA on 5th November 2017. We had earlier won the Asia-Pacific leg of the competition en route to the finals.Our robot participated in all five events and secured 1st place in the Sprint, Lift & Hit events, 2nd place in the Throw event, 3rd place in the Climb event and were placed 1st overall in the pool of out of 8 best teams from all the 3 regions (Asia-Pacific, North America and South America).There is an Indian friend from USF in Tampa, who supported us a lot in the transportation of the big robot from our room to competition site on time as well as to the airport. He also helped us in getting tools, food etc. We are very thankful to him.PS : Apart from winning, learning and experience from these competition was very great. We learnt to network with different professionals, convincing skill, solve problems & on-spot issues. Working in great team also help to build the task more simpler and feel like “Let’s do it together”.

Geoff McGhee is an online journalist who spent a year during his John S. Heer is also interested in the social interactions around visualization; in 2006 he worked with the IBM researchers Martin Wattenberg and Fernanda Viégas to create Sense.us a collaborative visualization tool that allowed users to mark and comment on historical employment data from the U.S. Census Bureau. He manages a team of about eight designers, eight journalists and four developers who create maps, infographics, charts and data visualizations. He comes from a background producing 3D and motion graphics for broadcast news at Sky Television. He wants to foster collaboration between the traditionally separate on-air and online graphics teams at the BBC. "We‘ve got a huge TV design team, a huge online design team, and they're currently totally separate silos, and I want to bring the two together so we can do more videos online."
